Chapter 168: Chapter 168: Indulging in Pleasure

She was forced to open her mouth to receive his kiss, filled with a fierce emotion. As the kiss deepened, her breathing became more rapid.

"Shaoyan... um," she tried to stop the man, "Wait..."

The man had already stripped off her top, his voice rough and hoarse, "I can’t wait."

Before experiencing the taste of real intimacy, one might not crave it. But in the first half-month of their cohabitation, while he held back from crossing the final line and violating her, he found various ways to enjoy himself with her.

That feeling of having tasted but not fully indulged was the most unbearable yet intoxicating. He was already captivated by her!

While speaking, he carried An Ge to the master bedroom. An Ge, not knowing when, found herself stripped bare without a thread.

With no lights on in the room, she could still clearly see the intense dark fire hidden in Shaoyan’s eyes. This time, An Ge felt it wouldn’t be as easy as before.

She was somewhat anxious, and before Shaoyan climbed onto her, she panted heavily, saying,

"I... I can’t, I just got out of the hospital. The baby’s heartbeat has been unstable lately. Can we not do this?"

Shaoyan pulled off his tie and, after slowly drawing it out, seemed ready to tie her hands at any moment. He pressed her hands above her head, his voice filled with danger and mischief,

"Mrs. Huo, you don’t know how much I’ve wanted to see you truly enjoy this since I had you."

An Ge felt a chill run down her spine. Her instincts told her that if this really happened, she would be done for. She hurriedly tried to appease him, "I... I’ll help you, I’ll use another way to help you..."

Shaoyan chuckled softly, "Another way? Besides the real deal, what haven’t I tried?"

An Ge felt that when he said this, his eyes were locked on her lips. She instantly realized what he was planning.

...

Who knew how much time had passed; it seemed like the hotpot broth in the dining room had boiled dry. A rich burnt smell drifted into the master bedroom, and only then did everything calm down.

In the bathroom.

An Ge looked at the man sticking behind her while she brushed her teeth in front of the mirror. Her eyes were moist and reddened at the corners. Seeing herself, she couldn’t help but think, how could there be such a woman who was both pure and alluring? If she were a man, she might have liked her too.

After brushing her teeth for the fifth time, she turned around and looked at the man with his hands around her waist, "My hotpot’s burnt, if we don’t go out soon, there’ll be a fire."

Men are generally amenable after feeling satisfied. He held the back of her head with his palm, pressing her head slightly into his chest. His lips brushed against the crown of her head, his voice was a mix of tenderness after passion, lingering and thick,

"If you stayed this well-behaved, wouldn’t it be great."

An Ge lifted her head, looking into his deep black eyes, "President Huo, I’m not a pet."

After she spoke, she was the first to leave the bathroom.

An Ge went to the dining room, and sure enough, the hotpot broth had all burned dry. After turning off the power, she looked at the man who followed her and said,

"You didn’t just come to look for me for what just happened earlier. Are you here to talk about getting a divorce?"

To be frank, Shaoyan didn’t have any recent plans for a divorce. Even though An Ge had repeatedly gotten involved with Tang Jiuze, he still had no such intentions.

So, Shaoyan quickly responded,

"I didn’t mean that initially. It was you who said you felt unsafe with me, living each day with fear and trepidation..."

An Ge asked, "So, when you talked about divorce that day, it was just a spur-of-the-moment thing?"

Shaoyan didn’t speak. An Ge guessed that was indeed the case. It was something she had anticipated; a man wouldn’t let her go so easily.

An Ge decided to take a step back and said,

"It seems I don’t have a say in whether we divorce or not." She paused, then changed the topic, "My dinner is ruined; are you going to be responsible for my dinner?"

Without arguing or complaining, being as obedient as she was made an impression. Shaoyan, finding himself in a good mood, agreed.

However, they didn’t go out to eat. Shaoyan cooked personally.

With ready ingredients in the fridge, he took off his coat and rolled up his sleeves to busy himself in the kitchen. An Ge sat alone on the sofa, watching a variety show.

It was a popular dance show featuring various dance talents. An Ge was initially watching to kill time, but soon she found herself captivated.

As her interest grew, she even danced to the music, surpassing the professional dancers on screen.

When Shaoyan finished cooking four dishes and a soup, he came out of the kitchen to see her dancing gracefully to the rhythm on the TV.

She danced beautifully, like flowing water, yet full of power. It was clear that she was a talented person who simply lacked regular practice, making some movements somewhat imprecise. But it didn’t affect her appeal.

Shaoyan waited for her to finish a dance before approaching, "That was great."

An Ge was slightly out of breath after the dance, holding her chest as she panted.

Shaoyan reached out, tucking the hair scattered across her cheek behind her ear. He hooked his arm around her waist, half-embracing her, his voice carrying an indistinct emotion,

"So there is a reason for my partiality towards you. You really resemble her."

An Ge’s heart momentarily felt suffocated. She quickly understood who Shaoyan was referring to.

She lifted her head, looking calmly into his dark eyes, "Qin Xiaoqi, right?"

It was the first time she mentioned Qin Huaisheng’s daughter’s name in front of him.

Shaoyan’s eyes flickered, "You investigated her?"

An Ge thought for a moment and said,

"Since I was her substitute from the start, I thought I’d make a more qualified substitute by finding out a bit about her. That shouldn’t be a crime, right?"

Shaoyan didn’t speak, but his grip on her waist tightened. An Ge felt a bit of pain from being pinched.

Silently furrowing her brows, she took a while before asking, "Am I better, or is she better?"

Shaoyan’s throat bobbed slightly as he replied, "There’s no comparison."

An Ge pressed her lips together, saying nothing more.

Shaoyan said, "Dinner’s ready."

An Ge nodded, "Okay."

Shaoyan, feeling a bit irritated, said, "I’ll go to the balcony to have a smoke; you eat first."

An Ge grabbed his clothes, stopping him from going to the balcony, "Smoking is bad for your health."

She paused, speaking in a tone full of implication,

"I found out that more than ten years ago, you saved Qin Xiaoqi’s life by donating part of your liver. Even though a liver can regenerate, having part of it removed must have a significant impact on a person’s body. You should quit."

Shaoyan halted his steps towards the balcony, a half-smile on his face, "For someone who knows a lot."

An Ge looked up at him, thinking for a moment before asking, "President Huo, can I ask you a hypothetical question?"

Shaoyan, in a fairly good mood despite the trivial conversation topic being somewhat meaningless, nodded, "Go ahead."

An Ge said, "If the child in my belly was yours, but Qin Xiaoqi came back to find you alive, what would you do?"
