Carlos couldn’t help glancing at the investigator nearby.

Judging by her shifty behavior, he had a hunch this was somehow tied to this woman.

Diliya immediately caught Carlos’s suspicious look and guiltily turned her head away.

The light show had gone on long enough—Purple Vortex must’ve gotten the message by now.

Red Spirit flew back looking pleased as punch, doing victory laps around its master.

That red pest was getting too cozy with master!

But Purple Vortex, remembering it had bombed twice in a row, bit back its jealous urges.

Having struck out in the competition, it no longer had any say in stopping that red showoff from hogging master’s attention!

It could only watch helplessly as that red hotshot muscled in on its spot as master’s right-hand monster.

Purple Vortex was facing the biggest humiliation since it came into being.

For a moment, dark thoughts flooded in as it hung its head, standing there like a kicked dog.

Opening its mouth but not knowing what to roar to get back in master’s good graces.

Feeling lower than dirt, Dark Purple Force Field unconsciously spread out.

The organs scattered across its body took on a creepy pitch-black shade, pulsing restlessly like they were about to spring to life...

Carlos clearly picked up on Purple Vortex’s inner turmoil and dejection.

Looked like the smackdown had hit a little too hard.

So he stepped forward:

"Purple Vortex, even though you kept trying to mess with Red Spirit, you took your punishment like a champ. Your attitude about owning up and taking what’s coming is solid. In my book, you’re still a good retainer!"

Master’s comforting words hit Purple Vortex right in the feels.

It nervously let out several roars:

The orange-yellow pupil had a drop-dead gorgeous beauty.

The second this pure white eyeball showed up, Purple Vortex’s eyes locked onto it like a magnet. Greedy hunger in its mind kept screaming at it to make a move.

This was master’s treasure!

Purple Vortex wrestled down its inner wild greed. Though its stare was lovesick, it showed no twitchiness.

This self-control made Carlos even more confident in Purple Vortex:

"This is the pure white eyeball from the dark mist node boss One-Eyed Sand Giant. Soak it up and see if you can patch yourself up."

Suddenly, the original right eye exploded like a firecracker, bursting into bloody mist as dark red blood trickled from the eye socket.

Purple Vortex didn’t bat an eye.

After the right eye blew up, a deep whirlpool reappeared in the right eye socket.

Then the deep whirlpool erupted with terrifying hungry devouring force, instantly sucking in the pure white eyeball.

Devouring and merging...

Soon a pure white eyeball popped up in Purple Vortex’s right eye socket.

Orange-yellow pupil, drop-dead stunning with a dreamy, otherworldly quality!
