Chapter 75: Ch 75 - Preparing for another power up - 2

The next morning, Klaus woke up completely refreshed.

The deep sleep had rejuvenated his physical body, and the strange, emotionally complex dream had subtly worked on his psyche.

[Good morning, Host] the System’s voice greeted him as soon as he stirred.

"Good morning, System," Klaus replied, his voice clear and alert.

Klaus stretched his body slowly, feeling the immense power contained within the physique.

He then walked to the quiet, perfectly manicured garden behind William’s bungalow, a small, secluded patch of green that was part of the vast mansion grounds.

He stood there, breathing in the peaceful morning air, allowing the tranquillity of the surroundings to permeate him.

Birds chirped around the trees, their sounds a pleasant backdrop to the rising sun, which flickered softly through the leaves, casting dappled light on the dew-kissed grass.

Klaus took a deep breath, inhaling the crisp, clean air, and allowed himself a moment of quiet appreciation for the serene environment.

He then walked back inside.

He had to get ready for the important day ahead, the day he would learn the Bennet family’s secret method to reach EX-rank.

After getting dressed in smart-casual attire and having a quick breakfast prepared by the mansion staff, Klaus and William both left for the countryside.

William had already arranged for a secure, private route to their destination.

The valley where the old mansion was located, was apparently three hours from the capital. This was a significant distance for conventional travel, but for Klaus’s supercar, it was a mere trifle.

Klaus drove the gleaming supercar, its powerful engine humming smoothly, with William seated in the passenger seat.

Klaus had opened the car’s panoramic hatch, allowing the fresh, cool air to rush into the cabin.

Both wore simple sunglasses and casual attire, blending in as if they were merely on a leisurely holiday, driving through the scenic countryside.

At this point William and Klaus both had got quite comfortable with each other joking along the way as they took in the scenic view as soon as the car left the capital.

The drive passed swiftly, the urban sprawl giving way to rolling hills, verdant forests, and picturesque farmlands.

Klaus enjoyed the sensation of speed, the effortless power of the supercar, and the changing landscape.

Klaus’s mind, meanwhile, was focused on the upcoming revelation.

The EX-rank method. He understood its immense value.

His personal vendetta against the heavenly will, fuelled by the truth of his parents’ sacrifice all of this will be eventually be fulfilled as he gets stronger.

The knowledge of the Watchers’ methods, the way they ascended to EX-rank, would be a critical piece of information.

"System,"

"William is about to reveal the Watchers’ method for EX-rank ascension. Will I be able to level up to EX-rank using that method, or am I strictly bound to your prescribed method of defeating ten EX-ranked beings?" He needed clarity on his progression path.

[No, Host. You will not be able to use any other methods to reach EX-rank except by defeating ten EX-ranked beings. Your unique progression through the Supreme Dragon System is absolute.

However, the System still strongly advises you to learn about these methods, as they will profoundly supplement your base power and physique, providing a qualitative enhancement even if they do not directly grant a rank-up.]

[The System will assist the Host whenever it sees a chance to make the Host stronger, by any means available.]

Klaus absorbed the System’s explanation.

he just wanted to get powerfull as much as he could.

After so many experiences, from his miserable life on Earth to his unexpected transmigration and rapid ascent, Klaus had gained an enlightenment of sorts.

He had witnessed the ultimate consequences of weakness, both in himself and in others.

He knew one thing, one absolute law of this universe, a truth that resonated deeply within his being.

The Law of Being the Strongest.

This law, although sounding simple and even cliché to others, to Klaus, it was the all-mighty, undeniable truth.

It was the only belief, the only religion he needed to adhere to, to truly thrive in this brutal reality.

He knew he could live, he could thrive, and he could find peace and respect as long as he was strong enough to deter anyone from violating his life, his existence, or his will.

He had seen and also experienced what happened to the weak in this world, they were bullied, used as scapegoats, sacrificed, or consumed.

Klaus had subconsciously decided, with an ironclad resolve, to be the absolute strongest, to never again be a pawn in anyone’s game.

Klaus’s mind replayed the events of the conclave.

He knew that if, by chance, he did not have the backing of William, the Head of the Adventurer’s Association, at the conclave earlier, the Paragons from the other Legacy Families would have gone to great lengths to either subdue him or kill him outright if he resisted.

His power was undeniable, but a united front of EX-rank Paragons could still have presented a formidable challenge.

Klaus knew the truth, he was not as arrogant as he showed on the surface.

His outward disdain was the consequence of his Draconic Pride, but he understood the lurking dangers.

He knew that there were at least ten, possibly more, individuals stronger than him on this planet the EX-rank Paragons.

Then there were the Watcher race and also the demons.

The threat was constant, pervasive, and multidimensional. And for the past week, focused on consolidating his public identity and testing his new elemental skills.

As he was thinking about what his next steps should be, seeing the vastness of the tasks ahead, he finally decided to seek direct guidance from the System.

"System," he thought, his internal voice clear.

"Can you make a priority-wise list of what I need to do at this point? I feel like I am confused about the optimal path forward, given all the new information." He recognized his need for structured guidance.

[Host, since reaching SSS-rank will unlock the Gate Master’s next hidden effects, after reaching the EX-rank threshold,

the hidden effects of Stellar Sword Descent will also finally reveal themselves we will have to keep them aside since the actual SSS rankup will take quite some time, although not more than a few months] The System began, laying out the first set of priorities related to his existing assets.

[The other things in the Host’s arsenal are the items and skills which are ranked above the EX-rank, such as Origin Absorption (Divine) and Dragon’s Might (Myth).

Host should just forget about using them now, as their progression depends upon crossing the mortal realm.

However, Host should remember their existence and utilize atleast dragon’s might to save yourself from immediate, existential danger.]

[Host’s physique and bloodline also require specific Dragon’s Essence to unlock and progress beyond their ’Unawakened’ state.

We haven’t seen a single gate related to dragon race appearing on this planet yet.

The Host is advised to explore the SSS-rank gate soon, as it might contain useful ingredients (monsters), that could provide the necessary Dragon’s Essence or unlock components.]

[Host is also advised to develop his Shadow and Earth elements. These will provide crucial versatility and strategic depth to host’s combat abilities.

Additionally, Host should develop his second identity as the ’Gate-Eater’ soon, as it will help Host in various ways]

"What ways?" Klaus asked, intrigued by the System’s emphasis on developing a 2nd identity.

[Host should create an impactful reputation of any sort, good or bad does not matter, but it should allow host to control the world from the shadows. Host might as well start his own cult.] The System’s suggestion was blunt, audacious, and completely devoid of moral judgment.

"Hmm, I was also thinking about this," Klaus mused, nodding slowly.

The idea of a second identity, operating in the shadows, felt increasingly useful.

"A second identity might be more useful than it sounds.

It would allow me to gather intelligence, manipulate factions, and build a power base without tying it to his current identity or William or the Association directly."

[Yes, Host. System also advises Host to expand his own legion of summoned monsters on a daily basis.

Your current monster troops are only numbered 5,000, which is insufficient for large-scale operations.

Host should use his mana daily to summon more A-rank monsters to the subspace and create a truly huge legion,

capable of wiping out entire races or continental-level threats out of existence plus host should absorb as more gates as possible since it will give you more types of monsters for you legion]

"Whoah, woah there, System! You are too pumped up, ain’t you?" Klaus commented, a slight amusement in his voice.

[System is only trying to tell the Host about the true scope and potential of his abilities]

"Well, you are not wrong," Klaus conceded, nodding slowly.

The System was being purely logical. Not summoning daily was, indeed, a waste of mana. His mana regeneration was constant, and his pool was vast. Unused mana was wasted potential.

"In one go, I can currently summon roughly around 1,000 A-ranked monsters or either 4 S-ranked bosses." He mentally calculated his daily summoning capacity.

"Since bosses can only be summoned one at a time for each type, I guess A-ranks can fill up the numbers quickly. A consistent daily summon of A-ranks would rapidly build his army."

"Meanwhile," Klaus added, thinking about his specific subordinates,

"1,000 golems are sufficient to do minimal chores. I don’t need them in larger quantities right now."

"The Lich dude inside the realm is also useful for his own specialized tasks." Klaus was referring to the Necrolord, his SS-rank summon, who served as a valuable intelligence gatherer and potential combat support.
