Chapter 1319: Mirror of Time 2

Chapter 1319: Mirror of Time 2

The moment Enel stepped forward, the sands of time swirled around him, forming a storm of golden dust.

Yet despite the swirling chaos, his steps were weightless, as if he was both walking and floating at the same time.

Then, the dust shifted, spreading outward like ripples on an unseen surface.

A thousand mirrors formed.

Each mirror was woven from the sands of time, their edges glowing with shifting hues—some burned like molten gold, others shimmered with the cold gleam of silver moons.

And within them, time revealed its hidden truths.

In one mirror—

He saw Lucifer Morningstar, his true father.

The image was vivid, clearer than any dream.

Lucifer stood in all his radiant beauty, a being of perfect form, golden eyes glowing like twin stars. His lips curved in a knowing smile as he leaned toward Lilith, a woman of impossible grace, her red raven hair cascading down her bare back like liquid night.

The passion in their eyes burned like fire, an intensity that swallowed all else.

Their bodies intertwined, flesh against flesh, a moment of forbidden love between a fallen angel and a mortal woman.

Their whispers were soft, but Enel could hear them—

Lilith’s voice, dark and alluring.

Lucifer’s laughter, seductive and triumphant.

And then, in another mirror—

He saw his own birth.

Lilith cradled him, her expression unreadable as she gazed down at the small, fragile child in her arms.

Then, without hesitation, Lucifer reached forward, plucking the infant from her grasp.

She did not protest.

She did not cry.

She merely watched, as if she had always known this would happen.

The scene shifted again.

Enel saw his splited childhood, but it was not filled with warmth.

Lucifer was not a gentle father. All the while leading him unto the path of an assassin.

Enel watched as his younger self suffered, his body broken, his soul split apart and reforged under his father’s brutal will.

The truth became undeniable—

He was the first Nephilim.

A child born of a fallen angel and a mortal woman, something neither Heaven nor Hell had ever intended to exist.

Suddenly, a familiar voice echoed within his mind.

The Satan System chimed:

<Congratulations, Host has unlocked Title: First of a Species.>

<Congratulations, Host has unlocked new skill: Commander of the First Corrupted.>

Yet, the mirrors did not stop.

Time continued its relentless display.

He saw himself in the arenas of old, blood-soaked and battle-crazed.

He saw himself slaughtering gladiators without mercy, his eyes burning with the thrill of the kill.

It was strange.

When had he changed?

When had he tamed the beast within?

Perhaps it was when his understanding of death had evolved.

Or perhaps his experiences had simply reshaped him.

He still killed when necessary, but the old habits—the need to collect trophies like clean cut heads and limbs, the obsession with the perfect kill—had faded, like a child outgrowing the instinct to suck their thumb.

And yet, despite all his power, despite all his knowledge, one truth remained constant—

His life had never been his own.

Not truly.

Not once.

From the moment he was born, powerful figures had sought to control him.

The demons of the arena, the Sisters of Fate, Lucifer, and countless others who thought they could use him as a tool for their ambitions.

And he was tired of it.

So very, very tired.

Yet, he knew.

His journey was far from over.

His story had not yet reached its end.

His was a bloody life, tangled in a destiny not of his choosing.

Some would call it a curse.

And perhaps it was.

But ironically—

That curse was the reason he could stare death in the face and walk away unscathed.

The scenes shifted once more.

The sands of time swirled, and the mirrors reformed, displaying yet another piece of his past.

Enel saw himself, younger, untempered by the weight of his experiences.

And before him stood King Solomon.

Not the madman he had seen lounging on the throne.

No.

This Solomon was graceful, standing tall, an air of absolute wisdom and ambition radiating from him. His eyes were sharp, his presence undeniable, a figure who truly embodied the King of Kings.

Enel felt the difference instantly.

What happened to him?

How had the once-proud ruler of the first order of witches, the man whose wisdom had shaped empires, become the eccentric figure draped in tattered robes, eating candy like a village fool?

Before he could dwell on that thought, the visions shifted again.

And suddenly, Enel stood at the Nexus of Time itself.

A place where all moments coexisted—past, present, and future—woven together in a tapestry beyond mortal comprehension.

A thousand images flashed before him, and his mind comprehended them all at once.

He saw Lilith once more.

But not as he had seen her before.

This time, she was kneeling before an ancient force, her expression solemn.

He watched as she offered up her own mind, surrendering both her knowledge and her sanity to the Wheel of Rebirth—all for him.

For him to be reborn.

Her lips moved, whispering words he could not fully understand, but the weight of her sacrifice pressed upon him.

She had given everything, including herself, just so he could exist again.

The vision pulled away.

And then—

Hell.

His gaze swept across the infernal realm, expecting to see the familiar faces long turned to dust.

But no.

There they were.

Two figures he never thought he would see again.

Athena.

Hector.

Still alive.

Still existing, though they had taken different paths from the ones they once walked.

He could not deny it.

It was truly them.

He barely had time to process the shock before the sands shifted one final time—

And everything stopped.

Before him, floating above a Primary Earth, stood a lone figure.

The moment Enel’s gaze landed upon him, a familiar chill ran through his spine.

The presence, the power, the undeniable will that radiated from this being—

It was Lucifer.
