Chapter 712: Chapter 571 Visit_2
Of course, Su Mo wouldn’t be foolish enough to remind the opponent.
From the intelligence that this girl had disclosed, their strength might actually be comparable to theirs.
Upon seeing Lord Spade approaching with his entourage, Oubri respectfully saluted and greeted, “Lord Spade, you have arrived.”
“Oubri, this is Miss Mina. She is from the Yanas Kingdom and was separated from the main troop. Try to communicate using the coordinates and signal source she has provided.”
Lord Spade instructed indifferently.
After hearing Lord Spade’s words, Oubri’s face showed a trace of surprise.
He felt that Lord Spade was perhaps taking too great a risk; communicating could likely expose their position. He didn’t quite understand why Lord Spade would take such a risk for this young girl.
However, Oubri did not voice any objections but nodded in agreement.
“Alright!”
Very excited, Mina said, “The coordinates and signal source of our mother ship fleet are…”
Oubri began the communication area calculation and locking process according to the coordinates given by Mina, then he issued orders.
“Deploy Listener number 3 relay!”
“Yes!”
The subordinates on scene promptly responded.
After a sequence of operations, Oubri spoke, “Due to the distance, we need to use a relay, so it will take a little time to wait.”
“How long approximately?”
Lord Spade asked.
“Shouldn’t be too long, a few hours maybe. The exact time depends on the receiving capability of the opposing mother ship.”
“Hmm.”
Lord Spade nodded slightly, he could afford to wait for that bit of time.
Time slowly passed, and everyone in the command room was a bit tense. It was their first time communicating with another civilization, and no one knew what to expect.
More than four hours later, suddenly a prompt appeared.
“Alert, communication target located, attempting to establish communication.”
“Found it.”
Oubri reported with bated breath.
The next second, another prompt appeared.
“Target has accepted the communication request, establishing communication.”
Following that, a woman appeared before everyone. She was dressed in a silver, high-collared, body-hugging military uniform, with golden yellow long hair, pointed ears, a cold and beautiful appearance, and a haughty demeanor, coldly asking.
“Who are you?”
Before Lord Spade could introduce himself, Mina, seeing the virtual image, excitedly rushed forward and called out.
“Lady Beilo.”
“Mina, are you alright?”
Beilo showed a very surprised expression. She hadn’t expected Mina to still be alive.
“Yes, yes, I’m fine, I was rescued by a Federation fleet,” Mina excitedly explained.
At this, Lord Spade began his introduction, “Hello, I am Vice Speaker Spade of the Federation.”
Hearing Lord Spade’s words, Beilo’s expression became even more solemn, as she replied formally.
“Hello, Lord Spade, I am Beilo, the commander of the Yanas Kingdom’s Second Expeditionary Army. I deeply appreciate your rescue of our member.”
“It’s nothing, the Federation and the Yanas Kingdom have such a friendly relationship, helping one in need is just a small effort,” Lord Spade replied with a smile.
“Lord Spade is much too modest. May I ask, Lord Spade, what brings you here?”
Beilo asked quietly.
“We were out searching for resources, following our operational tasks into this star space; I did not expect to encounter your nation here,” Spade casually replied.
“Oh, I see,”
“Commander Beilo, I’ll arrange to have Miss Mina safely returned to you.” Lord Spade said.
“Wait, Lord Spade, since we’ve met here, as a token of gratitude for saving Mina, if you wouldn’t mind, you could visit our mother ship, allowing us the opportunity to return the favor,” Beilo suddenly invited.
Su Mo and the others were somewhat surprised; the other party was this hospitable? It all seemed very unusual.
Lord Spade’s response was even more unexpected, as he replied with a smile, “Well then, we’ll take you up on that.”
“We look forward to your visit; we’ll end the communication here,” Beilo said very politely to Lord Spade.
“Goodbye.”
After Lord Spade’s reply, he signaled Oubri to disconnect the communication.
The communication soon ended.
Lord Spade smiled at Mina, “I’ll have someone take you down to rest; we’ll get ready here and then send you home.”
“Thank you.”
Mina nodded continuously in response.
Soon a few female officers came forward and escorted Mina away.
After Mina had left, Rose, somewhat puzzled, said, “Lord Spade, are you really going to visit? Isn’t that too risky?”
“Don’t worry, they don’t have any hostile intentions, and under normal circumstances, they wouldn’t dare. Besides, I agreed to visit for a reason; they must have been exploring this star space for quite some time, so we can use this opportunity to gather some intelligence, saving us a lot of time,” Lord Spade revealed his ultimate goal.
“But Lord Spade, just in case, the fact that they’ve invited us surely means there’s something fishy,” Rose was still a bit uneasy.
“I’m well aware of that, but it’s precisely why we must accept, not giving them any insight into our motives. There’s no need to argue further; Rose and Su Mo, you two get ready to accompany me,” Lord Spade announced.
Standing by, Su Mo, hearing Lord Spade’s words, also felt a headache coming on.
Being chosen to accompany him, it seemed that Lord Spade’s idea of letting him tag along was never a good sign.
Su Mo even wondered if Lord Spade had already prepared to force their way in under the guise of returning someone, had they not been invited.
