570: Chapter 464 Eating_3 570: Chapter 464 Eating_3 He needed a bit of patience.
Waiting for more exploration teams to go in.
Of course, it wasn’t worried in the slightest that the hostages would see through the ruse, for no one could resist the lure of profit.

Two days later, Su Mo’s hands were getting soft from killing while piloting the Black Steel Mecha.
He’d only gone back to resupply once in the meantime.
He looked at the data displayed on the mecha.
In total, he had killed 210 Type I Doka Worms and 42 Type II Doka Worms.
It was fortunate that these monsters were easy to lure and incredibly stupid, which made the hunt go smoothly.
Su Mo estimated that it was about time; it had been half a day since any monsters had been attracted.
So he took a deep breath and flew towards the Doka Worms’ nest.
A moment later, Su Mo appeared near the nest.
Although it looked the same as before, there was one completely different thing about it—it was strangely quiet, with no sight of Doka Worms flying out.
Summoning his courage, Su Mo piloted the mecha and drilled into a relatively large opening.
The interior was pitch-black, with virtually zero visibility.
Su Mo activated the Black Steel Mecha’s night vision mode, barely able to make out the passage.
The whole channel twisted and turned inwards, made entirely of stone walls coated with corrosive slime.
For Black Steel, though, this corrosive slime posed no danger.
When Su Mo reached a corner, he narrowed his eyes.
The next second, a Type I Doka Worm lunged at him head-on.
Quick as a flash, Su Mo controlled the Black Steel Mecha to run it through with a spear.
Crack!
The Alloy Spear pierced straight through its mouth and out the back of its head—a clean and efficient kill.
Su Mo kicked the Doka Worm off, pulling the Alloy Spear out and cautiously continued deeper.
About half an hour later, Su Mo piloted the Black Steel deeper into the nest, reaching its deepest part, right in front of the passage’s exit.
Looking through the exit, a shocking scene unfolded before him.
The interior of the nest was a circular giant incubation chamber, teeming with densely packed, wriggling gray eggs.
Meanwhile, on the walls and parts of the floor, protruded several prismatic blue Energy Crystals, emitting a faint halo of light.
Of course, a closer look revealed a large quantity of collected items around the eggs, all with energetic reactions.
Items such as Radiant Energy Fuel Rods and various mechanical energy storage modules were scattered about.
All jumbled together, the sight was spectacular.
Su Mo couldn’t help but swallow hard.
He was about to strike it rich.
However, he quickly cooled down, as he saw in the center of the area a Type III Doka Mother Worm sprawling there.
With its bloated body nearly thirty meters high, it was like an enormous behemoth.
Nothing about it looked easy to deal with.
Su Mo stared intently at the Doka Mother Worm, sizing it up from head to toe.
He began trying to analyze the weaknesses of the Doka Mother Worm as he quietly strategized.
The eyes seemed to be a weak point, the wing joints as well.
Possessing a massive body and tough skin, the creature likely had a substantial Life Value and wouldn’t be easy to kill.
Another point of interest was its tail, which glowed intensely green—similar to a firefly—and was likely highly dangerous.
Then, Su Mo carefully inspected the entire incubation chamber, from top to bottom.
He discovered four or five Type II Doka Worms and a dozen or so Type I’s hiding amongst the eggs.
Estimating quickly, Su Mo reckoned that should he make a move, more monsters could well emerge from the passages all around.
But this didn’t scare Su Mo; instead, it excited him even more.
If this had been before, Su Mo would have had some reservations.
But since the last encounter fighting the Fourth Generation Biological Machine, the Dark Calamity Apostle, he had grown bolder.
Su Mo took out two Nutrition Bars and bit into them, quickly swallowing down the liquid content.
Then, with a determined heart, he pushed the power control lever to its maximum!
The entire Black Steel Mecha’s Power Unit emitted an intense humming noise, and the next second, the Black Steel Mecha burst out of the tunnel, charging straight at the Doka Mother Worm.
The initially drowsy Doka Mother Worm’s crimson eyes suddenly opened wide as it turned its head towards the incoming Black Steel Mecha, opened its gaping maw, and shot out a dark green beam of light.
Su Mo’s pupils contracted; the world seemed to go quiet around him.
Time appeared to slow down.
He pulled on the control lever, tilting the Black Steel Mecha to dodge the beam while accelerating the attack.
The Black Steel Mecha nearly grazed the beam as it suddenly appeared in front of the Doka Mother Worm.
Su Mo pulled hard on the control lever, adjusting the mecha’s stance, and swung the Alloy Spear, stabbing it into the Doka Mother Worm’s eye.
Thick liquid splashed out!
Seeing his successful strike, Su Mo felt a surge of excitement within.
However, at that moment, the Doka Mother Worm let out a mournful cry, stirring its entire body and ramming into him fiercely.
Taken aback, Su Mo raised the Alloy Spear to block.
Bang~
The entire mecha was sent flying backward.
The other Doka Worms hidden within the eggs, now angered, flapped their wings and charged at Su Mo.
Su Mo was unfazed.
He maxed out the power output of his back-mounted thrusters, stabilized the mecha, and started to flee.
Instantly, a dozen Doka Worms tailed him in pursuit.
Su Mo then began to kite the enemy, swiveling his shoulder-mounted cannons to blast at the trailing Doka Worms from time to time.
