Chapter 467 - 467 424 Deployment
467: Chapter 424 Deployment 467: Chapter 424 Deployment After the Through-the-Heavens explosion had dissipated, Lulavi could be seen all charred and scrambling backwards in a sorry state.
His hideous bony face revealed a trace of fear.
He then turned and fled!
Witnessing this scene, Mai Han’s eyes flashed with murderous intent!
Though he couldn’t figure out if Lulavi was human or a monster, he was clear on one thing.
This guy was an enemy, and if he didn’t take this chance to nip the problem in the bud, who knew what trouble he might stir up later.
Now that Lulavi was injured and trying to escape, it wouldn’t be easy, and it was time to take his life while he was down.
Thus, Mai Han fiercely pushed the control stick, maximizing power output and chasing after him with his Mecha.
Lulavi turned his head to glance at Mai Han, who was catching up, and ran even faster.
General Mai Han, however, pursued him relentlessly from behind.
Moments later, Lulavi and Mai Han had left the battlefield and fled to a undulating mountain peak.
Realizing he couldn’t escape, Lulavi stopped, turning his head to look at Mai Han.
Mai Han maneuvered the Mecha to raise the Long Spear in its hand toward Lulavi.
“Today is the day you die!”
Lulavi let out a cackling laugh, his entire face completely warped as he spoke, “You had the chance to walk the path to Heaven, but instead you knock on the gates of Hell.
Since that’s the case, I’ll send you to your death and let you witness the full extent of my power.”
Although Mai Han felt something was off, he was not intimidated by Lulavi.
He controlled the Mecha to turn into a streak of light and surged forward, the pitch-black Long Spear aiming to pierce through Lulavi’s chest.
Crack!
The pitch-black Long Spear hit Lulavi’s chest squarely, but it was as if a stick had struck a metal wall, with a massive rebound force nearly causing Mai Han to lose grip on the Long Spear.
He looked at Lulavi with a face full of shock and disbelief,
How was that possible?
The next second, Lulavi’s eyes turned blood-red, and a terrifying aura spread out.
“It’s you who forced me to use all my strength.”
Mai Han’s control screen popped up a black warning box.
“Warning, target Negative Energy particle reaction is skyrocketing!”
Before Mai Han could react, Lulavi swung a bony hand directly across the chest of the Fragmenter Mecha.
The entire Fragmenter Mecha, like a kite with its string cut, flew out a thousand meters, crashing into the opposite mountain peak.
Boom!
Following that, the whole Mecha tumbled down!
Inside the cockpit, Mai Han immediately felt intense pain and lost consciousness.
At this moment, Lulavi flew to the damaged Fragmenter Mecha; its chest caved in and its body sparking with electricity.
However, Lulavi had controlled his strength very well and hadn’t completely destroyed the Mecha, merely rendering it temporarily paralyzed.
Lulavi then shrank in size, reverting to human form.
He leaped onto the Mecha’s body and opened the cockpit.
Looking at the unconscious Mai Han, he revealed a ferocious and sinister smile.
“Who?”
Suddenly, Lulavi turned his head to the side, seeing Aiman approach, speaking respectfully.
“Lord Lulavi.”
“What are you doing here?”
“Isn’t it out of concern for any mishaps on your end, my lord?”
“Everything is under my control, what mishaps could there be?”
Lulavi said with arrogance.
“Then, my lord, are you not killing this man?”
Aiman asked with confusion.
“Keeping him alive is more useful than killing him.
If all goes as expected, the items should not be on this side; otherwise, the troops here wouldn’t be so weak.”
“But Lord Lulavi, even if you infect him, once he returns, he will be detected by human devices.”
Aiman reminded him.
“I have my ways.”
After speaking, Lulavi took out a vial of dark green Potion from his person.
At the same time, he used a fingernail to slice open his other palm, letting a few drops of his dark red blood fall into the vial.
He then pried open Mai Han’s mouth and poured the Potion in.
“This…”
Aiman was shocked by Lulavi’s actions as well.
“My blood mixed with this special Potion can allow the Negative Energy Virus to enter a dormant phase within his body, avoiding detection.
When the time is ripe, it will gradually emerge.
With these lower beings’ technology, their devices won’t be able to detect it.
There might even be an unexpected surprise when the time comes, and I can find what I want.”
Lulavi revealed an extremely evil smile.
“Lord Lulavi is wise.”
“Let’s go!”
Lulavi closed the cockpit again, cleaning up all traces as if nothing had ever happened.
Aiman couldn’t help but take another look at Mai Han, his eyes betraying a barely noticeable sentiment.
Shortly afterward, inside the cockpit of the Fragmenter Mecha, Mai Han groggily came to.
He felt an intense pain in his chest, suspecting a possible rib fracture or maybe internal damage from the impact.
After regaining his senses, he looked at himself incredulously.
He was alive when he should have been killed, right?
Enduring the pain in his body, he pulled the control stick, maneuvering the Mecha to rise, cautiously scanning his surroundings.
But he did not see any sign of Lulavi.
Mai Han felt even more bewildered.
What was going on?
Could it be that his adversary had struck a successful blow, thought he was dead, and didn’t bother to check and deliver a finishing strike?
As far as he could tell, no other explanation made sense.
Yet Mai Han himself found the thought far-fetched, and something seemed off.
Even the dumbest person could sense that the other’s strength was not simple, and it could be that the purpose of drawing him out was achieved.
How exactly had he survived?
Mai Han’s expression shifted.
The more he failed to grasp the situation, the more unsettled he became.
Could it be that the adversary had done something to him?
