Destiny Mission of game ‘Star Ring’ -
Chapter 422 - 422 405 Heading to _2
422: Chapter 405: Heading to _2 422: Chapter 405: Heading to _2 Moments later, after Chen Shan and Su Mo had finished their inspection, they drove into the interstellar airport.
Upon entering the airport, they were greeted with the sight of five interstellar ships of varying sizes and models docked at the interstellar airport.
Su Mo curiously looked around, noting that compared to traditional airplanes, interstellar ships were much larger and had a more technological feel.
“See that grey ship up ahead?”
Chen Shan excitedly said to Su Mo.
Following Chen Shan’s cue, Su Mo looked over and saw a grey interstellar ship anchored in the distance, about five hundred meters long and approximately eighty meters wide.
This ship was the second-largest among the five docked, narrowly avoiding being the smallest.
Additionally, Su Mo closely examined the ship and didn’t spot many weapon ports, nor did he know if they were hidden.
Out of politeness, Su Mo still asked humbly, “What kind of ship is this?”
“The Plunder Ship·Grey Bee!
Maximum load of one thousand people, it’s one of the most common interstellar ships used for mineral extraction and transporting goods,” Chen Shan casually explained.
“It’s not a warship?”
Su Mo was somewhat surprised, thinking that with Xiao Wen’s talent, he should at least be equipped with a small combat ship.
Chen Shan sighed, patting Su Mo on the shoulder.
“Having one is already good enough.
Let’s not talk about this now, we are almost there.”
Chen Shan drove the vehicle to the T3 rest area of the interstellar terminal, where a thousand soldiers had gathered, each donning the new type of spacesuit.
Of course, these spacesuits weren’t purchased but produced by the Federation itself, so they seemed a bit more cumbersome, but they were adequate for use.
However, upon closer inspection, one could see that Xiao Wen was not wearing a spacesuit, but rather the Generation II Mechanical Armor, which was not only very form-fitting and cool but also imposed a strong sense of oppression.
When Xiao Wen saw Chen Shan’s car coming, he said in a deep voice, “Dismissed!
Lin Yue, stay behind.”
“Yes!”
Everyone responded in unison and then dispersed for free activity.
Su Mo and Chen Shan got out of the car and walked over, greeting them.
“Lord Xiao Wen, Staff Officer Lin Yue,”
Lin Yue smilingly replied, “Hello, Chief of Staff Su Mo, we’ll be colleagues from now on.”
Su Mo couldn’t help but crack a slight smile.
Xiao Wen turned his head toward Lin Yue and said, “Lin Yue, take Su Mo for some basic training, explain to him some of the knowledge needed when first entering space.
We are planning to depart at six in the evening, so we’re a bit pressed for time.”
“No problem, I’ll take care of it.”
Lin Yue happily accepted the task.
“Thank you.”
Su Mo replied modestly.
“Su Mo, come with me.”
And so, Lin Yue led Su Mo away.
Before long, Lin Yue led Su Mo to the inside of the interstellar terminal, to a remodeled training room.
All along the way, Su Mo was quite solemn, maintaining silence, as it was his first time preparing to go into space, he inevitably felt a mix of apprehension and excitement.
“Haha, Mr.
Su, don’t worry, it’s very simple with your talent.”
Lin Yue, seeing Su Mo’s expression, guessed his thoughts immediately.
“Right.”
Su Mo nodded in response.
“Relax, it’s not difficult.
Let me tell you, most of space is a zero-gravity area, and even if the interstellar ship has a gravity device, it doesn’t cover all areas.
So, it’s important to adapt well to the zero-gravity environment, and another requirement for a qualified interstellar ship crew member is to learn how to deal with various emergencies, including how to open emergency escape routes and survive.
But those things are not necessary for you for now, since you’re just going to Ring Star City, so I’m just going to give you some basic training to get familiar with it,” Lin Yue said considerately.
“Alright,” Su Mo nodded and replied.
Lin Yue then picked up a remote control, pressed a button, and suddenly the anti-gravity device in the training room was activated.
Su Mo and Lin Yue began to float, and Su Mo found this feeling quite wondrous….
“In a zero-gravity state, you need to relax your body….”
Lin Yue floated to Su Mo’s side, began to hand-hold, and explained patiently.
…
In the evening, Su Mo, wearing his spacesuit, boarded the Grey Bee with Lin Yue through the boarding gate.
Su Mo was fascinated by the internal structure of the ship; honestly, the boarding passageway was rather narrow.
“Does it seem very cramped?” Lin Yue asked with a smile.
“Yes.” Su Mo nodded in reply.
“That’s because the Grey Bee is a plunder ship; most of its spatial structure is allocated to the storage area in the rear half of the ship.
It’s very spacious there, but that area is meant for cargo transport and isn’t very suitable for people to stay in.”
“What is this?”
As Su Mo followed them forward, he came to a sealed room equipped with cameras covering every angle.
“Observation room, it’s also used for decontamination.
You may not be aware of this, but the data on cosmic life forms have not been made public yet.
The life forms from this Negative Universe we are currently in are full of viruses, extremely dangerous, and one slip-up can cause disaster for the entire ship.”
“Hmm.”
Su Mo nodded.
“Mr.
Su, if you’re interested, I can show you some of the relevant data after the ship takes off later.”
“Okay, thank you.”
…..
Soon, Lin Yue led Su Mo into the cockpit of the Grey Bee, which was relatively spacious.
The control panel appeared complex, requiring seven people to operate simultaneously.
There were also several safety chairs in the cockpit, designated for passenger seating.
Lin Yue arranged a specific spot for Su Mo.
“Mr.
Su, this will be your place.
Our journey to Star Ring City will take about fifteen hours.
If you get tired, you can sit in the chair and take a nap.”
