He frowned. If something were to happen to Tang Rongling, it wouldn’t go down well with the elder. He decided to go there in person

Huangfu Ye entered and looked surprised, “Brother, weren’t you supposed to visit the construction site today?”

“Something came up, so I couldn’t.” Beiming Han replied indifferently.

“If that’s the case, didn’t Qingxin make a wasted trip?” Huangfu Ye muttered to himself.

Beiming Han’s Expression changed instantly, he asked, “What did you say?”

“Oh, about an hour or so ago, Qingxin called, asking for the construction site you were supposed to go to. She wanted to find you, so I told her. She should be there already…I guess.”

Before he could finish his words, Beiming Han violently pushed him, he crashed into a door. When he spun around, Beiming Han had already bolted out of the room.

Huangfu Ye looked astonished at the empty hallway, dumbfounded for a moment. What just happened?

Huangfu Ye ran out of the room and asked Secretary Lian, “What just transpired?”

“There was a report from the construction site, it’s on fire right now and some personnel are trapped.” Secretary Lian responded.

“Damn it!” Cursed Huangfu Ye, he too made his way to the site quickly.

Nothing bad will happen, nothing can happen, Qingxin must be safe.

Gu Qingxin felt awful, it was as if she was abruptly thrown onto a charcoal burner, she felt like she was getting cooked, her throat was in pain, her face hurt, practically everything hurt.

She heard someone calling her name, she yearned to open her eyes to see who it was but it felt as heavy as a weight.

The voice persisted. She felt something cool trickling down her hand. With a soft exhale she managed to finally open her eyes.

The sight of the pure white ceiling greeted her. She paused, then slowly remembered what happened.

She went to find Beiming Han, but the construction site caught fire. She didn’t find him, but saw an injured Tang Rongling on the ground instead!

When she was trying to escape with Tang Rongling, something fell and Tang Rongling shielded her. Afterwards, she didn’t remember anything.

“Qingxin, you’ve finally woken up.”
