Three hours had passed since he stopped Samuel Foster from raping Shiloh, he didn’t want Samuel to think he was paying attention to his son but he didn’t like seeing Samuel directly doing things like that to Shiloh when he was around.

Gil opened the file that his men had collected. The file on Shiloh since he was taken by Gruvv Dhurudatta. Over a year had passed since he heard that the child was taken by Gruvv.

He knew exactly how the Dhurudatta family worked, he knew where Shiloh would end up when Gruvv took him. He felt that he had let Shiloh go, he felt that it was the child’s destiny to leave his life. However, his mind was wrong.

He asked Samuel Foster to investigate how it went after Madam Rose died at the hands of Gruvv. There Samuel Foster came with anger, he threw the file containing the investigation.

"That bastard has made the Dhurudatta family find out about this money laundering!" He shouted angrily.

He was almost dead.

Gil recovered his body for a whole month, almost dying at the hands of Samuel Foster. Afterward, he investigated who the Dhurudatta had paid to investigate him. When he found out that Louis Baxter was the one hired by the Dhurudatta family, he felt cornered. He couldn’t get Louis Baxter on his side, the man had dealt with Shem Powers before.

"Sir..." A man who was also Samuel Foster’s right-hand man came to Gil who was in the hospital. The man handed him a brown envelope, when Gil opened it he was so surprised to see photos of Shem Powers. The man he knew and was now in prison for the sake of formality died a horrible death, his head nearly severed. He was found in the prison. This was Samuel Foster’s doing, he started hunting down the people involved.

"You’ll be like that next time if you can’t do anything to stop Louis Baxter, is what Mr. Samuel Foster wants to tell you."

Gil shuddered in horror. He knew he was already dealing with people from the ruthless circles. However, he never thought the situation would be like this. He had to do something, and listening to Samuel Foster’s request was the only way to avoid being blamed later if something happened.

However, he felt that bringing Shiloh into this plan was a bad thing. That man had already killed Madam Rose for kidnapping Shiloh, it was only a matter of waiting for him turn to get the same treatment if he didn’t come up with a plan soon.

He glanced again at the file in his hand.
