I woke up and found myself back in my room, sunlight streaming in through the window. I am trying to wake up and felt my whole body ache. I winced and a snicker caught my eye.

I saw Gruvv sitting on the sofa with a face that had just woken up from sleep, he looked at me with a big smile.

"Gruvv?"

He came closer to me, "How did you sleep?"

I blinked my eyes and all the memories of what we did came back very clearly in my head. I lowered my head, my face heating up and I swear right now it must be flushed.

I heard Gruvv’s chuckle, the man stroking the top of my head.

"Come on, it was over three days ago."

I raised my head and looked at him in surprise, "Three days ago?"

He nodded, "We did it for two days and you’ve been sleeping all day since yesterday."

I felt like going into a hole and never coming back.

In the end I had intercourse with Gruvv, he explained that it made his RUT finish much faster. But still it took two days to finish, I lost my memory on the second day because I entered the HEAT period.

"Shiloh, I’m knotting you..." Gruvv said in a voice so low it was almost a whisper.

I covered my mouth with both hands, "Then...How?"

I know that if knotting happens when we are both in HEAT and RUT the chances of getting pregnant are very high.

"The doctor gave you morning after pills and also before that, he gave you birth control pills."

I sighed in relief.

Gruvv took my hand and grasped it tightly, the silence was killing me, I now felt the embarrassment and awkwardness. He was silent for a long time before finally opening his voice, starting the conversation.

"Shiloh, as you know, my feelings for you...uh..."

"I feel the same way." I interrupted him, he looked at me with a surprised. "I thought about it too, at first I thought it was because we were used to being together, but it seems like I like you after we’ve been apart for a while. I want to see you, I miss you."

Gruvv smiled and pulled me into his arms. We hugged for a long time before he finally kissed me gently. Gruvv explained to me what happened, he told me that the wound on my body was a surgical scar.

"Because I’m done loving the person who made me have it?"

I don’t know when I started to feel in love with Gruvv and started to move on from Mateo, the remaining petals made me think I still loved Mateo even though I felt an attraction to Gruvv.

From that conversation, I started to be honest with Gruvv about Seth.

"I thought it was your ex-boyfriend."

I told Gruvv that I wanted my son back, but I knew it was impossible because all the files the Elnathan family had were genuine and legal. He didn’t say anything and just stroked the top of my head when I started crying.

Every time I talk about Seth there is a sense of longing that sneaks into my chest. I often see him on television when Mateo and Maeve are being interviewed or they are somewhere, Seth’s face is a mix of me and Mateo, the older he gets the navy colored hair fades a little. The Rudapriya family has such strong genes, I think his hair will slowly fade and have a similar color to me.

I knew it was greedy to want Seth back, but I didn’t want to be separated from him. I wanted to be with him and make him a part of my life.

"I will try to find out about the deal the Elnathan family made with your father. After all, we are still searching for your father’s whereabouts."

Gruvv said that dad did money laundering a long time ago, he then went bankrupt because of his own actions. Father’s bankruptcy was partly due to the arrest of Shem Powers and also because the money he laundered could not be use directly so he needed ’capital’ to continue this business. That’s why he borrowed funds from the Dhurudatta family.

I’m trying to understand in a simple way.

Gruvv also explained to me that Madam Rose is dead. He killed her at the meeting place, all the Omegas in that building are now transferred to the government. The orphanage, brothel and even Madam Rose’s illegal drug factory have all been investigated by the police.

"We still need to find Arthur Milner and Mosha Gilmore in order to locate your father now."

There was a lot going on while I was kidnapped by Madam Rose, overnight the case of finding my father became a much bigger case until the Dhurudatta family finally cooperated with the prosecutor.

"Have you met Father?" Gruvv asked then, we were now eating lunch after talking for quite a while, one of Gruvv’s subordinates brought us a simple lunch.

"Ian kept me company while you were upstairs finishing your RUT, sometimes Joshua comes here too."

"Josh? What for?"

I shrugged my shoulders, "Maybe take Ian’s place looking after me? He sometimes only comes to sleep or even finish his paperwork."

Gruvv looked at me with an incredulous look, I had to swear for him to believe me.

We spent a week in the hospital before finally being discharged, Elina saw me a few days before my discharge. She said I would be getting HEAT again every month and also that my body was still rejecting the smell of other alpha pheromones. She asked me to be careful, Gruvv himself was given a lot of direction regarding his RUT.

It was like we were just get a pronounced about our second gender for the first time.

Before going home I put on the jacket that Gruvv had been wearing for two days, the pheromone scent was so heavy that when I met with George and Shin I was much more relaxed.

They all welcomed me back, Ave immediately ran to hug me when I just got out of the car. Everyone was so worried and it made me feel much calmer. There are a lot of people who care about me here.

Gruvv didn’t go back to work right away, he spent another week just being with me. He rarely went back to his own room and spent a lot of time in my room and even slept in bed with me.

We kissed and also had intercourse occasionally. It still feels the same, Gruvv’s body is still hot every time we have sex, the look in his eyes that seems to want to swallow me whole and also the smell of his pheromones when he is aroused is different from the smell of his pheromones when he is experiencing RUT.

"You smell sweet." I said between our kisses.

Gruvv chuckled and said that I also smell like Vanilla when I experience HEAT.

The scent of our pheromones always filled the house, and every corner of the room. George and Shin were always snickering and babbling whenever they came to report Gruvv about the company.

Despite being able to smell pheromones, Gruvv still has difficulty controlling his pheromones, he has to learn again. Everything feels so calm and peaceful, I think there are no more problems to come even though Gruvv is still looking for father. I thought there would be no more scary things between us. We told each other our feelings, we committed to each other.

I got the warmth that I had been looking for, I got the attention and affection, I got all the security and comfort that I had always wanted. Everything I got when I was with Gruvv.

I think everything is going as usual.

But as it turned out, there was another, much bigger problem that came afterward. Problems related to my father, making me want to give up and cry more than ever. That person always took away my happiness, like he didn’t want me to be happy with my own efforts.

I also experienced HEAT when Gruvv experienced RUT for the umpteenth time when we met each other, which made the maids getting a problem.
