We walked hand in hand, he kept asking if he could buy food from the streetfood vendor we passed. So we bought some snacks and ate them while walking down the street, he holding my hand tightly and occasionally warning me when I was spreading too much pheromones.

The more people passed by, the more I was afraid something happening to him. But seeing his face light up and smile a lot, I understood that this was the right thing. He should be enjoying this kind of freedom.

As Andrew said, clothes or anything that had my pheromone will help Shiloh not to react to another Alpha’s pheromone. The scarf and coat he’s wearing, I wore it first last night. I’m sure that other than because I’m constantly giving off the pheromones around him, it’s because what he’s wearing also has my pheromones.

"You ate a lot today, is your stomach okay?" I asked him in the car, we were heading to the restaurant George had booked last night.

"I’m still hungry."

A little surprised to hear his answer, it was the first time he said he was still hungry after eating. His portions were so small like a bird, I was worried that he wasn’t eating well even though Ave said he ate often even in small portions.

"Why is the restaurant so quiet?" He asked, his body leaning towards the table and half-whispering to me. I looked around, had he noticed? I asked George to let the customers, especially those who are BETA, eat on the spot. So, he wouldn’t know that I booked the whole restaurant tonight.

"Shouldn’t that good restaurant have a lot of customers?"

When that question came out of his serious-looking face I tried to hold back my laughter but in the end I chuckled. Ah damn, he’s so cute.

"Right? Is it possible that the food is no longer good then there are no customers now?"

After a bit of arguing with that and when the food came, I could see his face light up because of what he ate. He likes it, he’s like an open book, I can read it clearly.

The way he eats, it’s obvious that he comes from a noble family. All the table manners he had learned over the years were showing, the way he sat, the way he ate his food, even the way he wiped his mouth.

He is so elegant.

Elite families are taught all sorts of things and it shows in the way they talk, walk and behave. I can see it in Shiloh even though sometimes he seems to lose his own memory and acts like he knows nothing.

If it wasn’t for his father going bankrupt and borrowing money from us, I’m not sure we would have met each other. We were not destined to meet even on any occasion. The world he lives in and the world I live in are so different. My family is not a pure nobel, we just pretend to be one. We’re just copying them. What Elina talking about the possibility that we were a destined mate sounded funny to my ears.

"Are you happy today? How do other Alpha pheromones? It is still troubling you?" I asked him, I wonder if he enjoyed it. Should I do this every weekend or every few days so he can get used to it?

"I don’t smell anything other than your pheromone, probably because you’re the dominant Alpha so other scents are covered." He replied while eat the dessert.

"I asked Elina, she said we should do it often. After that I can gradually can make you walk alone in the street." I said as I downed the wine in my glass.

I wanted him to be able enjoy the outside immediately without worry his body reacting to another Alpha’s pheromones. Is that the happiness I can give to him?

"Gruvv?" Hearing that voice calling my name makes my whole body went numb, I looked up in surprise when I saw Cross standing behind Shiloh. He smiled widely. I glanced at George who was also surprised to see Cross there.

SHIT!

"Ah, This is your omega? You guys on a date? I didn’t know my brother was this cute?"

I quickly walked over to Shiloh, standing right in front of him. Trying to cover up the smell of Cross’s pheromones. Cross is an Alpha Dominant after all, I’m afraid my pheromones are not strong enough to covered his smell in front of Shiloh.

And sure enough, Shiloh left us. I was just about to chase after him when Cross pulled my hand away, I looked at him angrily.

"What do you want?!" I asked.

"I should the one who asking, what are you doing? Why are you asking around about me? You investigated me behind my back for that fucking Omega’s sake? Seriously! I’m your older brother! You suspect me helping his father escape??!" Cross yelled at me so loudly, the few customers who were eating immediately left the place. The guards were tense and so were the waiters.

"Dhurudatta worked with Madam Rose for so long, but you act like you didn’t know her when we were looking for Shiloh. Did you know Joshua found out about Gil? Do you know that he has disappeared since he entered Madam Rose’s residence without being noticed? It’s all weird!"

"THEN YOU’RE ACCUSING ME HELPING HIM ESCAPE?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!"

"I’M NOT ACCUSING YOU!" I snapped back at him, both of us getting heated.

Cross pulling up my collar, "You’re investigating me, motherfucker! If you’re not accusing me, then what do you think you’re doing? You know I hate him just as much as I hate his father because he’s the one who made our family’s life miserable for the past two years. And now you think I helped him? You’re completely crazy!"

Just as I raised my hand to punch him, George shouted from the bathroom.

"SHILOH IS GONE!"

I turned my head quickly, take off Cross’s grip and ran towards the bathroom. My eyes rounded as I didn’t see Shiloh there. Only the petals were there, he must have just vomited but no one was there. I almost lost my mind when I saw blood on the floor. I went inside, open all the bathroom cubicles.

No! Shiloh wasn’t there!

I looked to George who had taken a few steps back covering his nose, I was sure I was now emitting an uncomfortable pheromone scent.

I walked up to Cross and punched him in the face, Cross fell to the floor, the guards moved towards me as well as my guards who moved to cover me. The atmosphere in the restaurant is not conducive.

"You planned this?! What did you do to Shiloh?!" I yelled out loudly, I tried to get closer to Cross but all the guards got in the way. George pulled me back from going any further.

"I swear I didn’t do anything! I don’t know about this, is he really not there? Is there another way out?" Cross said in a panicked, he covered his nose as well and his face looked red.

My anger had really reached its peak, I tried to think clearly but my body reacted otherwise, my chest felt tight and my hands were trembled. I tried to breathe through my mouth, trying to control myself. I can’t lose control at a time like this.

I heard Cross calling my name, my legs felt so weak, my head felt light and everything felt dark. No, I can’t be like this. I have to find Shiloh immediately. I have to do something! I need to save him immediately. He just went out today and enjoyed his day outside, I have to make good memories for him and not bad ones.

Where did he go? Who took him away?

I tried to breathe, but every time I breathed in I felt my chest getting tight and painful. Now my head was also hurting so much. I vaguely heard George asking the guards to search the restaurant area, Cross was holding me while calling Andrew.

It was all so noisy.

I hate this body, this useless body always malfunctioning when I need it. I don’t want to be like this, I have to find Shiloh.

"Gruvv! Gruvv! You have to take this medicine! Andrew told me you have to take it! Gruvv stay with me! Gruvv!" I heard Cross’ voice pleading, I could feel his hand trembling around my mouth, he gave me the medicine that I always carry with me wherever I go.

A tranquilizer.

I swallowed the tranquilizer, I tried not to rely on it but it seemed like I hadn’t fully recovered either. I hated myself for not being able to do anything with the trauma still lingering inside me, these panic attacks made me helpless.

"Please, do something, please, please find Shiloh. I beg you." I said that to Cross before everything went dark and I didn’t know what was happening.
