Chapter 359: Chapter 359 I’m Not Any Normal Person

The attack strength of the Kazan Spider surged, increasing the weight felt on Yang Yu’s shield. However, there was an indescribable relief on his face.

Previously, he had been so flustered because the Kazan Spider and the Goblin Lord attacked from both the front and behind.

Now, with one less attacker to restrict his movement, Yang Yu’s tense nerves were finally able to relax; he no longer needed to maximize every bit of his blood volume but could instead focus his energy on dodging.

No matter how much the Kazan Spider enhanced its attack strength, if it couldn’t land a hit, it was merely a waste of energy.

The beastly instinct of the Kazan Spider issued a warning again, advising it not to waste time on Yang Yu. A butterfly that had escaped from the web, no matter how longingly it looked back, would not fall into the same trap again. What it should do now was to target the weaker individuals and reduce their strength.

However, the Kazan Spider no longer trusted its beastly instinct.

In its subconscious mind, it was no longer an ordinary demon. It was worlds apart from them.

It could think continually, unhindered by its primal nature, making better judgments about how to survive better and aiming to achieve that.

The Lord had promised it.

If it could truly protect this treasure, it would be granted even more power, transcend its ugly form, and evolve beyond a mere beast.

Failure was not an option.

Escape was out of the question.

The Kazan Spider expelled a large amount of spider silk from its abdomen and then sucked all these silk threads back into its oral apparatus; it wove a terribly chaotic net, its four legs opening up the big net like a child’s jumping rope.

Since its sharp spider legs were useless, it switched to using the big net instead, trying to capture Yang Yu like a child catching bugs.

It wasn’t necessarily about taking Yang Yu’s life here; as long as it could restrain his movements, everything else could be dealt with slowly.

However, the Kazan Spider forgot that it was no longer on the web, but on the ground just inches away from Yang Yu.

Yang Yu was not about to just watch the net being completed and miss such a great opportunity to attack.

A shadow flashed behind Yang Yu, transforming into a dark mist, following Yang Yu’s nimble steps and drifting along his sword blade, dyeing the sword in the color of the dark night.

A leap and a slash later, the entire net split in the middle, turning into two sticky masses.

The Kazan Spider’s four legs that were stretching the spider net dangled aimlessly in mid-air.

Seizing the opportunity, Iyas pulled back her bow and arrow and launched a "Split Arrow," hitting the spider’s two small eyes, and immediately, green fluid spurted out.

Iyas had successfully rescued Iron Wall and Skill.

However, unlike Sekamens, Iron Wall and Skill couldn’t instantly adapt to the situation and join the fight after regaining their senses.

With nothing else to do, Iyas shifted her gaze back to the battlefield, seeing Yang Yu’s combat becoming increasingly smooth. A profound and inexplicable emotion suddenly surged within her.

The attack she initiated seemed more like a vent for the repression inside her.

Despite being so skillful, why hadn’t Yang Yu given her any instructions? Did he think that even without me, everything would go smoothly?

"Split Arrow" hit its mark, but Iyas felt increasingly haunted. She drew her bow again, and an arrow made of light appeared between the bowstrings.

A streak of light passed, Iyas’s arrow shot through the Kazan Spider’s blind spot and blinded another one of its eyes.

Finally unable to bear the pain anymore, the Kazan Spider let out a painful howl, swinging its limbs sharp as knives, sweeping about.

Caught in the heat of battle, Sekamens and the Goblin Lord were inadvertently involved.

Fortunately, Sekamens reacted in time, ducking to avoid the Kazan Spider’s sharp legs. The Goblin Lord, not knowing how to evade, was flung hard against the wall by the spider’s leg.

Under the relentless attack from Sekamens and Bai Jin, the Goblin Lord was already reduced to a mere sliver of health. With this fierce blow, it finally disintegrated into bits, blending back into the Underground Maze.

With a "clink," a golden bracelet fell to the ground.

Now was not the time to collect spoils of war, Yang Yu immediately directed Sekamens and Bai Jin to focus on the Kazan Spider.

Since Iyas had destroyed three of the spider’s eyes, the Kazan Spider’s vision narrowed again, leaving many blind spots.

As the team’s main T, Yang Yu continuously tested the Kazan Spider’s blind spots with his body, quickly ascertaining their rough locations. He created illusions of suddenly appearing and disappearing, playing a game of hide-and-seek with the Kazan Spider.

The Kazan Spider was confused by Yang Yu, constantly suffering attacks from all sides, and gradually retreated to the wall.

However, the Kazan Spider didn’t give up hope for victory. One of its legs ignited a golden glow, launching a precise "Golden Piercing" into the blind spot where Yang Yu was.

"Yang Yu, dodge quickly!"

Sekamens yelled, knowing the spider was using a powerful piercing skill.

With Yang Yu’s physique, if hit by this skill, he would likely enter a brief paralyzed state, unable to move, and then would instantly be riddled with holes by the sharp spider legs.

But it was already too late when Sekamens spoke. Any normal person wouldn’t have been able to evade the attack, and Sekamens could even see the image of Yang Yu’s body being pierced.

However, Yang Yu was no normal person. He simply stepped to the right, and the sharp golden spider leg brushed past his right shoulder.

If Sekamens knew about the skill, why would Yang Yu not?

"Just because I’m in the blind spot, you still attack, relying on the vibrations from the ground to pinpoint my location? Unexpectedly, you still calm down to listen to my footsteps.

If it were anyone else, they might have fallen for it, but unfortunately for you, you met me.

Bai Jin, ’Frost Nova!’"

Upon hearing Yang Yu’s shout, Bai Jin sighed in relief, lifted his hand, and released "Frost Nova," instantly freezing the ground beneath Yang Yu’s feet.

At the same time, Yang Yu’s lips curved into a mischievous smile as he pulled out many small objects from the System and scattered them on the ground with a rattle,

"Since you want to listen, then let’s make you hear enough at once."

Inside the Kazan Spider’s brain, chaotic, cracking sounds erupted, each sound as though a loudspeaker was being pressed against its ear, causing intense pain in its legs, so much that it desired to flee this room and hide where no one would disturb it.

But Yang Yu wouldn’t give it that chance. While the Kazan Spider’s mind was distracted by the noise under its feet, attempting to crawl back up the Big Net, Yang Yu commanded a final, all-out attack.
