Demon Hunter and His Cabin -
Chapter 947 - 704 Igni Sword Seal
Chapter 947: Chapter 704 Igni Sword Seal
The bead composed of various flames, gifted by Jora, disintegrated in Roger’s hand and arrived at the depths of his consciousness. At the previously hazy door of the small cabin, a faint bonfire appeared.
The pile of firewood had no sparks, and even the area surrounding the bonfire was somewhat indistinct.
Roger vaguely felt that the five Sword Seals required by the High Mountain Trial were not arbitrary; each played a specific role in constructing the Hunter’s Cabin.
Perhaps different choices and learning sequences could alter the structure of the cabin, leading to vastly different inclinations.
With the experience of the previous attempts, the Hunter’s Cabin had now become incredibly powerful, no longer reliant on Roger’s self-reflection and cultivation.
When enough information is acquired, the Hunter’s Cabin can extract the most vital rules from it, transforming them into a format Roger can understand and learn.
The Igni Dharma Seal, though simple in function and seemingly trivial in power at present, represents the fundamental core of the rules forming the Hunter’s Cabin.
Using this as the foundation, learning swordsmanship as the medium of evolution, coupled with Jora’s two legacies and that hint of Flame Seed.
A brand-new inheritance emerged.
Roger reflected deeply.
[Igni Sword Seal]: Across many worlds, fire is believed to be the primal source of energy at the birth of the universe, symbolizing light and heat, destruction and rebirth.
It is the beacon of civilization, the calamity of annihilation.
[Sword Seal—Burning Body]: Consumes one’s own emotions, transforms them into corresponding Flame Seeds, and in battle uses the enemy’s emotions as fuel, causing sustained and terrifying damage.
As long as emotions remain, the flames persist.
Roger continued to observe; even pure fire, upon advancing to higher levels, generates numerous intricate branches.
Take Jora, for instance. She resonated with the Natural Flame and gradually ascended, gaining insight into the transformation that led to Emotion Flame. Over many years of progress, deductions, and with the aid of serendipity and special treasures.
This resulted in her current achievements.
Under the branches of the Sword Seal, many practice pathways representing distinct emotions emerged, with Anger and Flames of Pain being relatively well-developed.
Jora’s flames have a dual nature: strengthening herself and weakening her enemies. She perceives the fire through emotions, ultimately reversing it for understanding the changes in world rules.
This is a highly unique perspective.
In Jora’s conception, any desire within the heart can connect to fire, thereby explaining parts of the world.
The Flame of Survival signifies rebirth.
The Flames of Destruction signify annihilation.
Upon reading this, Roger suddenly had other thoughts. Perhaps the identity of being twins shared by Jora and Dora greatly aided her in comprehending and deducing this Emotion Flame.
However, Roger remained clueless about the specific processes involved.
It’s hard to imagine such a thing arising naturally; it’s likely that the flame’s initial creation wasn’t solely due to Jora’s self-reflection.
It might have originated from some kind of treasure...
In Roger’s view, apart from Jora, it’s unlikely anyone else could truly grasp this ability. If it were turned into an inheritance, most Demon Hunters could only master the surface.
Still, for ordinary Demon Hunters, that would suffice.
Extreme control over flames does not exist within the fixed system of Demon Hunting; Roger faced the choice of continuing an established branch or creating a new classification.
Griffin Fraction?
Or Flame Dragon?
Rubbing his chin, Roger considered discussing it thoroughly with Amanda. In a sense, this inheritance method bore many similarities to the female sorceress’s flame manipulation techniques.
If that were the case, Amanda’s students wouldn’t need to remain outside of the Demon Hunter’s traditional inheritance system.
Amanda could join them to establish a new school at Kaer Morhen.
Speaking of which, there were still rules extracted previously from the Eye of Truth. Roger couldn’t delve deeply under the current circumstances.
Once he returned to Kaer Morhen, he could begin learning and establishing another new branch.
Snake.
Unlike his past self-comprehension, the newly developed Igni Sword Seal now resembled a complex mosaic; each insight made the picture more complete.
The progress in cultivation was visible. Roger pondered and quickly devised a plan.
The shadow behind him separated, with a portion of basic swordsmanship peeled away, while Roger focused on learning the rule-based aspects.
At this stage, practicing swordsmanship was no longer about simple swings and movements. Though the actions seemed graceful and straightforward,
the complexity behind even a single strike contained hundreds or thousands of variations.
Some variations aligned with certain mysterious rules.
A flash of insight struck Roger, connecting all the dots.
"So that’s it!"
In his excitement, he even stopped his movements.
"The Dharma Seal is 0, and swordsmanship is 1."
Just like computer programming, no matter how intricate the game or mechanics become, everything fundamentally starts from the basic binary of 0 and 1.
Those strings of characters gradually accumulate and construct a virtual world.
Roger’s train of thought expanded as he used this analogy, quickly realizing the true essence of the entire trial.
"Swordsmanship, Dharma Seal, and then, using them as the foundation, forming unique Sword Seals."
"Seemingly coincidental, but actually inevitable. If one day I can grasp the patterns within—as though mastering a programming language."
Then I can freely weave rules, fully understanding this world, and see through everything!
