Chapter 379 - Chapter 379 Chapter 379 Dark Curtain (2)
Chapter 379: Chapter 379: Dark Curtain (2) Chapter 379: Chapter 379: Dark Curtain (2) The ferocity of the battle between Roger and William exceeded everyone’s expectations, as they almost determined life and death the moment they clashed.
They underestimated Roger, and he seized this rare opportunity, nearly severing William’s head.
Everything happening not far away naturally caught Lusfan’s attention, who at that moment also faced an adversary that gave him quite a headache.
In terms of strength, aside from his specially modified left hand, Lusfan might not match William. However, the wings on his back made Lusfan’s movements extremely fast, allowing him to quickly move around in the air and in open areas.
But this time, Lusfan found himself doubly constrained by the terrain and Claudia.
The area where everyone was located was a forest, surrounded by trees of varying heights, and the dense woods limited Lusfan’s rapid movements.
Additionally, every time he tried to leap into the air, he would be pulled down from mid-air by Claudia, whose body had undergone mutations.
The two exchanged blows for several rounds, both sustaining injuries. However, what truly alarmed Lusfan was that from beginning to end, that woman’s face maintained one expression: no sorrow, no joy, no rage, no pain.
For her, battle seemed to be an unthinking act, not even considering the consequences too much.
“Is this woman really human?”
Lusfan’s body had undergone many mutations, and he always wanted to evolve into a real Vampire to completely break away from his human identity.
But facing Claudia at this moment, he could deeply feel that she was the monster.
Third Tier versus Third Tier, both sides were deadlocked. Even though he had a slight advantage in overall strength, he had been ambushed by Henrik earlier and had suffered some injuries.
“No, I must find a way to leave this eerie place.”
“My cloak is outside, and only there will I have absolute home advantage!”
Determined, Lusfan no longer lingered in battle, retreating rapidly backwards. Although the scenery around him appeared identical, Lusfan did not rely solely on vision to discern direction.
He opened his mouth and emitted a silent sonar, which intermingled spiritual power and special energy, spreading rapidly around him.
“He’s trying to escape!” Claudia furrowed her brows, her arms waving like ribbons, with sharp spikes at the edges.
From a distance in the green woods, this scene had a certain beauty, but anyone in the midst would realize that within a 10-meter radius of Claudia was a merciless slaughter zone.
“Is this the Pierce in your body?”
“There are so many?” Henrik’s face turned pale.
“What’s the matter, scared?”
Claudia returned indifferently, having experienced similar situations countless times. Many men were drawn by her beauty and seductive figure, but when they saw her combat form…
Some would flee, some were horror-stricken, and there were even those who drew their blades against her.
To be honest, she was used to it.
Used to being ostracized, rejected.
But who could have expected a suppressed laughter to emerge.
“Scared? Why would I be scared?” Henrik’s eyes widened enormously, “Honestly, I couldn’t be happier!”
Claudia turned her head in surprise, trying hard to see a hint of pretense or guilt on Henrik’s face.
But she was disappointed; on this man’s face was pure, thorough… lust.
Damn it, what kind of expression was that?
“What on earth is this guy thinking?” Claudia wondered as she rushed towards Lusfan at breakneck speed.
“I knew getting to know Roger was no mistake.”
“Good heavens, such a woman is thrilling!”
“Who knows how many positions she could unlock?”
Though the space seemed boundless, its capacity was indeed finite. Using his special energy sonar, Lusfan quickly reached the edge of the room.
He raised his left hand high, his wings fluttering behind him as he crashed with great speed against the wall’s edge!
“Open up for me!”
The collision force of his wings, combined with the strength of his entire body, caused Lusfan’s left arm to shatter instantaneously–the palm, wrist, and forearm all twisted and deformed under the violent pressure as he punched the wall.
Yet, he seemed to feel no pain from his body as he was enveloped in blood-red light.
Crack! Crack!
Finally, a sound of yielding came from in front of him, and in the next second, the scenery around him vanished, and a large hole opened up before Lusfan.
“William! Come outside!”
“Let’s kill them all!”
“Pugh!” Just then, Claudia, who had caught up from behind, seized the opportunity and shot her hands out like springs, piercing them into Lusfan’s lower back in an instant!
“Good heavens, is this an attack on the kidneys?”
Henrik, who had been struggling to catch up, couldn’t help but mutter, feeling a faint pain in his own lower back.
Pierce!
Claudia twisted her hands, nearly severing Lusfan’s upper body in half, but at that moment, he finally found the opportunity–enduring the excruciating pain, he crawled through the hole in the wall and out!
When Claudia burst through the gap to the outside, she saw Lusfan covered in blood, his intestines spilling onto the ground. The man’s face no longer held the calm and elegance from before, replaced now by a visage of bitter hatred.
“It was clear just now, how did it suddenly get overcast?” Henrik muttered somewhat bewilderingly.
Claudia raised her head, only to discover that the sun which had been engulfing the sky had disappeared, and even more eerie was how quickly the daylight was fading.
In merely a few breaths, the surroundings had become dark.
It was as if an invisible layer of darkness had completely isolated this place from the outside world!
Hiss!
The sky, like a dark curtain, was ripped open with a tear, and the next moment, the edges of the slit trembled ceaselessly. Then, a yellow, beast-eye-like full moon appeared in the midair!
“Heh…”
Crackle! Pop!
Endless dark energy poured into Lusfan’s body. He opened his mouth wide as his wounds visibly healed at a speed that could be seen with the naked eye.
Ripping off the tattered cloth on his body, Lusfan revealed his bluish-grey flesh underneath.
[Dark Curtain]
“A powerful cursed item, it can block out sunlight, forming an isolated area in a short amount of time, within which it will suppress other spiritual power energies.”
“Darkness, this place has only everlasting darkness!”
“To accumulate the energy of the Dark Curtain to saturation, I killed 99 young men and watered my cape with their fresh blood and souls.”
Lusfan grinned, revealing his sharp fangs.
“This thing was originally meant for Abraham.”
Lusfan fluttered his flesh wings, black patterns emerging on his robust body, creating a peculiar connection with the surrounding darkness.
“Hey, buddy, you really should wear some pants,” Henrik’s voice came from afar.
He looked downward, focusing on a particular part of Lusfan’s body.
“Pal, your transformation is no good.”
“You can’t just grow taller while not growing in other areas!”
Henrik winced as he notched an arrow.
“Whoosh!”
An arrow shot towards that particular part of Lusfan’s body.
“Don’t worry, I’ll help you out!”
