Chapter 367 - Chapter 367 Chapter 367 Under the Rose
Chapter 367: Chapter 367 Under the Rose Chapter 367: Chapter 367 Under the Rose “Now we have all the time,”
the Witch flashed Roger a bewitching smile, but in the next instant, the man who had been standing not far away had vanished without a trace.
“Whoo.”
A swooshing sound roared past as Roger twisted his body and thrust the weapon in his hand fiercely upward.
“Haha!”
The Witch let out a bizarre laugh, stretched out her palm forward, and the transparent barrier reappeared.
Thump!
The tip of the wooden stick hit the newly formed barrier, the sound of splintering branches was heard, and the stick couldn’t withstand the impact, instantly shattering.
But before the woman had time to mock Roger, a dark, chilly energy flashed by, and the next second, a black sharpness burst forth from the broken stick.
For the first time in front of everyone, the Cursed Sword revealed its sharpness and malevolence.
Sizzle!
The Solidity of the barrier was corroded, creating a gap, which then tore open like ripped fabric. The pitch-black sword blade drove straight in, piercing the woman’s neck in an instant.
Swish!
With a flick of his wrist, Roger brandished the sword in a horizontal slash, and the beautiful head flew high into the air.
Just then, the woman’s flesh began to wither at an alarming rate, and other parts of her body turned as lifeless as dead branches.
Vines grew from her neck and extended upward, connecting with the decapitated head in just a moment.
A glint of light flashed in Roger’s eyes as he quickly followed up, flames burning in his hand, and the next second a terrible wave of heat surged out.
A trace of horror appeared in the woman’s eyes.
Before she could even scream, her body was engulfed in flames. Since Roger had obtained the Igni Dharma Seal, its power had been enhanced twice.
The first was an additional enhancement from Pale Blood, and the second was a fundamental increase after the Ouroboros pattern formed in his mind.
The flames now invoked by the Igni Dharma Seal were far from ordinary; the temperature didn’t feel scorching, but the terrifying Energy spread throughout the body in an instant, seeping into the marrow!
Swish!
Roger walked leisurely up to the burning Witch and cleaved downward with his sword, splitting the charred Witch in half.
And all this had happened within just a handful of seconds since the two had commenced combat.
It was an utter rout.
Seeing Roger turning his gaze towards him, Azumani, who was battling the bizarre Tree People, didn’t think twice before dropping his disciple and running away in panic.
Evelyn was also stricken with fear; the girl had barely managed to kill one of the strange Tree People, then turned to Roger with a pleading smile. Roger didn’t even glance at Evelyn, leaping onto higher ground.
In the sky, two figures moved rapidly, the battle consuming half the city. Their methods of attack were extremely similar; with just a cursory glance, Roger could tell that the Rose Princess was already at a disadvantage.
These two actually restrained each other. The Flower Monster plunged the entire city into a nightmare, but the Rose Princess also limited most of the monster’s abilities, preventing it from leaving the dome and only allowing it to create a severely weakened clone.
Now that the Rose Princess had awakened, their restraints were lifted, and with their strength restored, the battle escalated.
Compared to the combat between Demonic Hunters and Blood Hunters, the power of the Spells seemed greater and more dazzling.
Wherever they passed, thick Vines and branches intertwined, twisting up from the ground.
While dragging each other’s body, they continued to attack. The Rose Princess was wrapped in a fiery red dress, while the Banshee named Kalapos was clad in emerald green.
Her tight armor covered her entire body, the surface bristling with Sharp barbs.
Unexpectedly, the Banshee’s method of attack was primarily melee, with most of the surrounding vines serving predominantly to restrain. Her own strength was immense, wielding a green spear resembling a flower stem.
“Human warrior, please help me. This monster is powerful. If it wins, we will all perish here, and the entire kingdom will become its garden!”
The Rose Princess shouted out to Roger.
Roger shrugged his shoulders helplessly, “I’m sorry, I’m afraid I can’t be of much help with the fight between you two.”
At Roger’s words, the Rose Princess was momentarily stunned, which gave Kalapos the opportunity to push forward, scraping a deep, bone-deep gash on her arm with his spear.
“Please, you must help me. I am the queen of this country, and once we overcome this monster, we can save the realm. I will marry you then, making you the new King of this kingdom!”
“Beautiful princess, your offer sounds very tempting, and I hope you will keep your promise!”
Having said that, Roger, with the Cursed Sword in hand, leapt through the palace, following the Vines erupting from the ground and quickly reaching the central area where the two were clashing.
Before he could get close, a gleam of light flashed in his eyes, and the Igni Dharma Seal was activated once again, spewing out a torrent of flames in the direction it was running!
“Damn humans!”
“Don’t be deceived by this bitch, help me kill her, and I can give you more,”
“Do you like women?”
“I will make all the young maidens of the kingdom your concubines!”
“As long as you help me kill her.”
Kalapos shouted loudly, Roger’s flames greatly affected it, and it had to divert some of its spiritual power to make the thick vines curl towards Roger.
[Alder]
Roger uttered a low cry, leaping high, the Alder Dharma Seal suddenly activated, the surging pressure bouncing the attacking vines in front of him away, and with an agile somersault in mid-air, he propelled himself even higher with the recoil.
“I’ll send you up!”
The Rose Princess seized the opportunity, and suddenly a flower bloomed in mid-air. Roger stepped across it, moving swiftly through the air, and within the blink of an eye, he was within three meters of Kalapos!
For a Demon Hunter, this was already the optimal attacking distance.
“The hunt begins!”
Roger chuckled lightly, “Although you are born beautiful, it’s a pity.”
The swordsmanship in his hands flowed like an endless tide, the Cursed Sword colliding with Kalapos’s green spear, a weapon that looked like plant roots but could withstand the Sharpness of the Cursed Sword.
Kalapos was surrounded by blooming flowers, and Roger moved speedily upon them as if it were flat ground. Although the monster primarily fought in close combat, its moves were far less refined than Roger’s.
Roger hastened his attacks and quickly gained the upper hand in a short time.
“Help me hold it back.”
The Rose Princess was overjoyed, her body leaping backwards as her fiery red dress bloomed like a flower.
Then, she raised her hands high, shining like the sun, and within a few breaths, a strand of potent golden Energy vaguely appeared in her hands.
“Get out of my way!”
Kalapos’s face showed panic; obviously, the attack the Rose Princess had spent time preparing must be extraordinarily powerful.
It couldn’t continue to entangle with Roger and started shaking the vines wildly, trying to plunge downward.
“Don’t let it get away!” the Rose Princess shouted loudly.
Roger’s gaze intensified, and the hourglass-shaped Array in his mind spun rapidly.
[Axis]
It felt like all the spiritual power in his brain was drawn out instantly, and time seemed to slow down. The terror on Kalapos’s face froze at the moment the Dharma Seal hit its target, and Kalapos lost control of its own body.
In the next second, a violent surge of Energy came from above.
Roger was about to dodge when suddenly something tightened around his ankles–the petals floating mid-air had locked onto him.
A faint smile appeared on the beautiful face of the Rose Princess.
“Death under a rose.”
“My dear, you are my 27th husband to die.”
