Chapter 329: Chapter 329 The Green Brothers Chapter 329: Chapter 329 The Green Brothers “Heh heh.”
Goway’s cheeks twitched as she squeezed out a smile without warmth.
“Slap!”
She placed a stack of documents on the table.
“I specifically returned to the family to search for information about the Stuart Family for some people.”
Goway eyed Roger with a dangerous glint in her eyes, “Where’s that red-haired woman?”
“Did you dump her?”
“Are you talking about Amanda?”
“She returned to Engelman,” Roger said, as he picked up the documents from the table.
“So, did you find any clues?”
Goway, whose jealousy had been ignited by Amanda’s ample bosom, now hated Amanda to the bone. Roger quickly changed the subject.
The simple-minded Goway fell for it again, her face breaking into a smug smile.
“I always keep my promises. I went back to the family’s library and stayed there for three days and nights until I finally found a clue amid the vast information.”
“You remember what I told you last time, right? There was no record of a so-called Stuart Family in Engelman 100 years ago, so I broadened my search.”
“Indeed, among the noble families throughout Europe, I found a descendant of an Earl named Stuart Family.”
“However, after investigation, this family doesn’t meet your requirements. They didn’t migrate, and the family fell into decline and broke off 50 years ago.”
“Hence, I changed my approach and, adhering to the criteria you provided, found a family that closely matches your description.”
“The Lietta Family.”
Goway flipped to a page in the documents and pointed to a circular emblem, speaking to Roger, “Based on the image of a daffodil, with a sword for its line, and stylized ‘T’ letters on both sides.”
“It symbolizes that this family originated from the ancient Theatus,” Goway glanced at Roger, “You guessed right, it’s Stuart spelled backward, depicting the family’s enduring commitment to justice, like the scales of a balance.”
“Exactly one hundred years ago, this old noble family of Eld split into two. One branch left Eld, and based on the prevailing winds and sailing routes at the time, it’s very likely they arrived in Bordeaux, as you mentioned.”
“While the other, lacking a male heir to carry on the name, vanished after the female Duchess married Yage Green.”
“One hundred years have passed, and the once noble family had completely disappeared from history, with the only legacy being an estate remaining in Dublin.”
“However, my investigation revealed that now, this estate has also been sold to the Brando Family…”
Roger flipped through the documents in his hands, noticing a name mentioned within.
“Yage Green?”
Roger looked up at Goway.
“Yes, that’s right, the very same Green,” she confirmed.
“The renowned author of Grimm’s Fairy Tales.”
“He’s still alive?”
Roger looked astonished.
Goway shook her head, “Only his name has survived. The Grimm brothers were extraordinary Transcendents. Their tales reflected monsters lurking in the shadows of reality to ordinary folks, using plain language.”
“Besides, descendants of the two brothers have also taken turns serving as the Grand Master of the Round Table Knight Order!”
Roger’s eyes darted, clearly more shocked by this identity than the fairy tales authorship.
Soon, Roger thought of the page of the fairy tale manuscript he had obtained, “Since the Grimm brothers wrote the tales, does it mean they had a Cursed Item containing a dozen or even scores of fairy stories in their hands?”
“The so-called Grimm’s Fairy Tales might be more than just a book; they could be a powerful Cursed Item, a miniature world!”
The Grimm brothers, inheritors of a world of stories, the formidable Knights of the Round Table Order–only a part of the Privy Council.
No wonder Europe, under the control of the Privy Council, has maintained relative stability for nearly a hundred years.
They indeed had a strong foundation.
“For powerful Transcendents to take the initiative to write a children’s book,” Roger mused.
Roger cracked a joke as if it were offhand.
Upon hearing his words, Goway immediately retorted, “What do you mean, ‘children’s book’?”
She couldn’t help but curl her lip, “What circulates in the outside world is just the popular version, the real Grimm’s Fairy Tales is a detailed Monster Manual, the enlightenment reading for many Transcendents.”
“It is said that inside the real Grimm’s Fairy Tales there still lies a great secret.”
At this point, Goway obviously did not wish to discuss further, but Roger found confirmation for his thoughts in the information she revealed.
“There’s a specific address on there.”
“If you really want to look into everything about the Stuart Family, I suggest you personally visit the manor in Dublin.”
Goway’s face showed a trace of apology.
“I’m very sorry, I’m afraid I cannot accompany you this time, something big has happened recently, someone encountered a Deerhead Spirit in the woods!”
“Such a terrifying creature hasn’t been seen in nearly a hundred years, and this has drawn the attention of the Round Table Knight Order, many have been dispatched to that area.”
“Deerhead Spirit?”
Roger looked puzzled, but quickly he recalled the thunderous roar he and Amanda had heard in the woods that night.
Could it be that thing?
A thought suddenly emerged in his mind.
“Could my Little Red Riding Hood belong to the Round Table Knight Order?”
Roger thought hard and realized that this was indeed a possibility.
“No problem, good luck, and I hope there will be tasks where I can be of help next time.”
Roger was now exceedingly keen on Cursed Items.
Dublin is the capital of Eld, not too far from Blair County, Goway even left Roger a car when she departed.
After a brief rest, Roger drove to Dublin that very day.
Compared to Blair County, Dublin appeared far more luxurious and prosperous, with bustling streets, hurried crowds, the serene and harmonious atmosphere of a big city.
Compared to the languid Blair County, this place clearly more closely resembled a true modern city.
By the time he reached Dublin, it was nearing evening, but Roger did not rest, and directly drove to the address given.
A manor located on the outskirts of the city.
Without even approaching the manor, Roger already saw many luxury cars converging on the road, and their direction was consistent with his, obviously heading to the mansion atop the hill.
Even in the suburbs, occupying a forest all to itself near the capital, this manor could also be described as a true mansion.
When he drove near the top of the hill, Roger was stopped.
“Sir, please present your electronic invitation code.”
A sharply dressed black man stopped Roger.
Electronic invitation code?
What the hell was that?
Feigning casualness, Roger pretended to search through his things. As he looked up, the Axis Dharma Seal activated, “You’ve already checked my invitation code, I can pass through now, right?”
The black man’s mind went blank for a moment, mechanically nodding his head, but Roger had to wait a full 10 seconds before the barrier in front of him showed no sign of moving.
“Damn it, damn electronic device!”
The black man might have been fooled by Roger, but it was clear that the electronic program did not share the same opinion.
Just as Roger was unsure whether to backtrack or find a chance to sneak in, a fiery red Ferrari pulled up to a nearby checkpoint.
The figure in the driver’s seat caught Roger’s attention.
Roger whistled softly.
“Long time no see.”
