Chapter 326: Chapter 326 Abraham’s Restlessness Chapter 326: Chapter 326 Abraham’s Restlessness Pugil Port.
The crowd was bustling, waves slapped against the beach, with yachts, pedestrians, and bikinis, it was a beautiful sunny beach.
In a mansion near the coast, a slim figure quietly approached, amidst fashion celebrities wandering about, yet bizarrely, everyone seemed to ignore the presence of the figure.
Opening a pathway, the small statured figure slowly descended the stairs, reaching the corner of the staircase, he raised his head, revealing eyes darker than darkness itself beneath the black hood.
“I don’t like someone being above my head.”
He muttered softly, and immediately after, a loud ‘bang’ sounded, a head curled up in the dark corner burst open, blood and brains splattered everywhere.
Before the body could hit the ground, it was torn to shreds by a dark shadow that flitted from beneath the hem of his clothes.
He continued downwards, surveying his surroundings as he walked, although the place was unfamiliar, he seemed to act as if he were the king of this place.
Reaching the bottom, he made no effort to conceal the sound of his footsteps.
“Roland, is something the matter?”
Accompanied by the sound of rustling water, a pleasant voice came through, but the voice’s owner froze in place the next second.
A terrifying pressure emanated from the slim figure, and the mermaid soaked in the pool gaped like a drowning fish.
“Where is Ceylon?”
The slim figure lifted the black hood covering his head, revealing a young and handsome face.
It was a boy, looking around twelve or thirteen years old, but what didn’t match his age were the eyes, as deep as the night itself.
“What do you want with Mother?”
The mermaid soaking in the pool water asked in terror.
“You’re her daughter?”
Abraham frowned slightly, the aura around him relaxing a bit, “Where did she go?”
Abraham slowly walked towards the edge of the pool.
With every step he took, the pressure intensified.
“Mother… She passed away…”
“Dead?”
“Waste of space!”
Abraham muttered under his breath.
“What about William, that stupid wolf?”
“Or perhaps Lusfan, that big bat.”
“They, they aren’t here. Recently, the Three Holy Spirits have altogether moved their domain. Except for me who stayed in the coastal region, those two went to Europe at the same time.”
“Find a way to contact them.”
“Tell them to roll back from Europe to see me!”
Abraham ordered brusquely.
“I… What should I say?”
Abraham undid his black robe, revealing a ferocious body wrapped in clothes, unlike the lovely and handsome human face, his torso was twisted and sinister, like a product of a grotesque mutation.
“Tell them.”
“Their master has returned.”
“Especially Lusfan, tell him I know the whereabouts of that half piece of Arm Bone he’s been searching for!”
……
Morning sunshine streamed through the gaps in the curtains and spilled onto the bed.
Roger opened his eyes to see beautiful features resting on his shoulder, fiery red hair spread out like petals, like flames, contrasting against fair skin.
This scene before him made Roger itch with desire.
“It’s different, oh it’s different.”
Roger muttered softly to himself, seeming to understand Geralt’s initial desire to search for the female sorceress.
Some things one realizes their worth only after trying.
“What do you want to do?”
Amanda opened her eyes to see Roger with a hint of malice in his expression.
Roger said nothing and slowly lowered his head…
By the time the two got up, it was already afternoon. Roger had consumed enough food for eight ordinary people.
Feeling somewhat replenished, the two began planning their next course of action.
“I’ll go to the nearby contact point to report to my teacher about this mission. It was only my first mission since awakening, and I hadn’t expected Inola to lose her life to it.”
“We’re still missing one material. It’s somewhat distant from here, in a mountain region to the north of Eld.”
Roger wiped his mouth.
“I’ll accompany you.”
Though impressed by the red-haired girl’s strength, considering the unexpected events during the mission, he thought it’d be safer with him there as well.
Amanda didn’t refuse. After they finished eating and tidied up, the two took a vehicle to the northern part of Eld.
Shortly after they left, a group emerged from the woods, covered in mud and blood. Leading them were Layhader and Matt.
Besides them, only four of the knights that had entered the forest with them remained.
The rest had been swallowed by the forest behind them.
“Let’s leave this place and send a message immediately. Tell the head of our order that during our assessment task, we encountered a Deerhead Spirit.”
“Moreover, we sensed the awakening and resurgence of Dark Power. I hope they take it seriously.”
“Another thing…”
“We lost a page of the story manuscript.”
Layhader clenched his fists. He looked extremely disheveled, wounds all over his body, with fresh blood seeping from even his eyes and ears.
He was lucky to run fast; had it been anyone else from the team, they’d probably be dead by now.
“To think it was really a Deerhead Spirit, a creature that hasn’t appeared for nearly a century, right?”
Matt was pale as well.
Layhader nodded, “A creature of this caliber isn’t something we can deal with. We must report this quickly. The Privy Council will have to send at least three Round Table Knights to safely withstand the creature!”
“Three deputy commanders are needed?!”
Matt’s eyes widened, “Is that beast considered Peak of the Full Moon level, or has it surpassed that rank?”
Layhader shook his head, “It seems to have just awakened. Its strength is still recovering. I can’t say for certain.”
He glanced back at the lush woods with a worried look in his eyes.
“Is Eld’s century of peace really about to be broken?”
Two days later.
Roger and Amanda collected Lava Flowers from the crater’s edge. The process was risky yet successful. The plant was guarded by a winged bird capable of spitting fire.
Its combat ability wasn’t very strong, but it was highly resistant to fire, which greatly affected Amanda’s abilities.
This was also the Achilles’ heel of a Bloodline Sorcerer, as overly singular powers can be easily targeted.
Having obtained the spoil they needed, the pair returned to Blair County. Amanda stayed another two days, and the two enjoyed some leisure time without venturing outside.
Then she left Blair County and returned to Engelman.
Roger, too, handed over the newly acquired pages.
Unlike last time, the suspended pages containing strange energies were absorbed by the Hunter’s Cabin.
Yet after absorbing the energy, the yellowed pages still floated midair. At the same time, a tremendous spiritual power surged into his body.
Roger hadn’t yet had the chance to truly feel the changes in his body when the Hunter’s Cabin shook violently. After a long while, when everything had settled into silence,
the notice board provided a new prompt.
