Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 255 - Chapter 255 Chapter 255 Useless Henrik

Chapter 255: Chapter 255 Useless Henrik Chapter 255: Chapter 255 Useless Henrik After waiting quietly for a moment, Henrik suddenly spoke.

“This creature must be resting, don’t worry, their vision and hearing have degraded terribly, just like bats, if they’re not awake, there’s no difference from inanimate objects.”

“This characteristic does remind me of the Gargoyles.”

Roger said softly.

“Gargoyles are a high-tier manifestation of Vampire Monsters, those things are often the watchdogs of Vampires.”

Henrik’s voice was extremely low, and his steps were light as the two of them moved agilely through the cave, continuing downwards.

On the way, we actually saw nearly ten Vampire Monsters hanging upside down in the cave.

“It might be a bit tricky, judging by the number of Vampire Monsters, the one inside is very likely nearing the New Moon tier, or has already reached it.”

Henrik glanced at Roger.

“What do you think, are you confident?”

He knew a bit about Roger’s combat abilities.

“No problem!”

Roger nodded without hesitation.

He was now several times stronger than before he became Transcendent, with brilliant swordsmanship and the boost from the Dharma Seal, Roger was confident in facing any enemy at the New Moon tier.

Descending further, the air grew more and more turbid, mixed with a unique sweet and fishy scent amid the decay.

Henrik frowned, he always felt that there was something familiar about this smell.

After walking down a distance, the two of them had not seen another Vampire Monster, which meant they were even closer to the creature hidden deeper in the cave.

“Be careful, we should be getting close!”

Henrik whispered as a warning.

Turning a corner, at that moment a weeping, plaintive voice entered their minds.

Roger’s right hand, gripping the Steel Sword, suddenly tensed up, but immediately after, an inexplicable flame rose from his lower abdomen, bringing with it a wave of heat over his body.

His breathing also became laboured.

Before he could speak, Henrik’s face changed drastically, he was all too familiar with that voice.

In the distant past, it had been the voice he dreamt about, but now, it had become the most profound nightmare in the depths of his heart.

“Night… Demon!”

“It’s her, it must be her!”

Henrik, nearly losing control of his voice in his agitation, was about to step forward but was grabbed by Roger.

“Calm down!”

“Don’t forget there’s another monster here!”

After hearing Roger’s words, Henrik immediately regained a lot of clarity, and they slowed their descent, moving gradually downwards.

As they drew closer, the strange, melodic voice became clearer, and with it, desire surged within them. Roger was also surprised at the Night Demon’s control over desire.

“Pain can effectively suppress your desires.”

“But it’s only temporary. Once it surpasses a certain threshold, sometimes pain can also become a catalyst.”

Henrik looked at Roger, a determination flashing in his eyes.

“However, there is one kind of pain that can completely neutralize the Night Demon’s temptation.”

With those words, he clenched his fist and ferociously slammed it into a certain spot below!

Henrik clenched his teeth, his eyes almost bulging out of their sockets and veins on his forehead stood out, his face turning as red as a boiled crab.

“WTF!”

“This is genuinely a real ball breaker.”

Just seeing the force of the blow, Roger could imagine the bone-deep pain, and even though he had experienced the agony of the Green Grass Trial, he had no desire to feel what Henrik was going through.

After the pain, Henrik’s eyes quickly cleared, and with one hand clutching his lower abdomen, he staggered downwards, bent at the waist, his entire body trembling except for his hands.

Roger concentrated his spiritual power, the Ouroboros in his mind spinning rapidly to counteract some of the impact.

The female Night Demon’s seduction of desire was all-encompassing, involving voice, scent, visual impact, and Mental Disturbance.

Facing her, almost all men would become slaves to their desires.

Finally, they arrived at the bottom of the cave, where a vast open space unfolded before them, with the surrounding rock walls covered in glowing moss.

Although deep underground, the area wasn’t dark at all; instead, it was bathed in a blend of colors that gave off a charming landscape.

In the middle of the cave was a protruding stone platform, and behind it, a flowing subterranean river.

Around the stone platform were villagers in a stupor, their eyes tightly closed, faces cyanotic, with a thick Blood Vessel especially prominent on their foreheads.

Obviously, they had been injected with a lethal toxin before being brought here; now, although alive, they were merely breathing provisions.

On the stone platform, the battle was raging, the sounds of combat reaching their ears, merging with the impactful scene before them.

Roger couldn’t help but cover his mouth and nose, his desires burning within him like flames, nearly losing control of his breath.

“Bang!”

A light noise came from his side; Roger knew Henrik had punched him again.

“That really hurt!”

If this continued, Henrik might beat him to death before the Night Demon even perished, right?

“Roar…”

Atop the platform was a man with hideous features and wings on his back, his eyes the size of mung beans, his nose turned up, his mouth so wide it revealed his bright red gums.

When he reached his peak, his fuzzy ears suddenly stood erect.

“Giggle…”

A seductive laugh sounded.

“So quick to give up?”

“Men are really useless, can you still move?”

“If not, just roll down.”

“I can still do it!”

The man panted heavily and casually pulled a villager from beneath the platform, biting off the villager’s neck with a mouth stretched wide.

Blood sprayed everywhere, much of it splashing over the female Night Demon.

The female Night Demon chuckled, seemingly enjoying the game, her skin a light brown, adorned with bizarre patterns.

These patterns, like living things, moved with the swells of her body, creating a visually striking, eerie effect.

She looked not much different from an ordinary human woman, having almost shed her beastly form, with the most distinctive feature being the two horns on her head.

One black, one white.

Black as ink, white as jade.

After consuming the Essence Blood of a villager, the creature above became vigorous once again, but as the battle resumed, the patterns on the body truly began to move, slowly drawing the energy from within the creature.

Henrik gave Roger a signal with his eyes.

In just over ten seconds, the creature peaked again, and at the same moment, Henrik loaded a special bullet into the magazine.

“Bang!”

Henrik’s shot hit the target with precision, followed by a scream; Roger heard the sound of metal hitting and shattering an egg-like object.

“Bang, bang, bang!”

A succession of gunshots rang out; Henrik rushed out from his hiding place, dual-wielding guns, creating a perfect fire suppression.

Roger also dashed forward in a swift movement.

“Who is it?!”

A bellow.

The creature, protecting itself with its wings, spun backwards to evade, revealing the female Night Demon, who now saw Henrik charging at her.

Her nostrils flared.

“A familiar scent…”

“So it’s you.”

“Useless Henrik.”
