Chapter 401: 159. The Last Lesson (Three-in-One, Alliance Leader Bonus Chapter)_3

"Alright, I’m going to rest now, goodnight."

"Goodnight."

Fisher nodded and headed upstairs to his room. Alagina stood in place, watching Fisher leave. Afterwards, she clutched her chest, seeming to feel a mix of shame and heat, and after a long pause, she headed towards the cabin below the deck.

As Fisher ascended the stairs to his room, the sea salt scent from Alagina gradually faded. It was then that he suddenly realized what Emhardt had said about him was right.

If he hadn’t been so greedy, maybe he wouldn’t have unconsciously said those things to Alagina...

Fisher, Fisher, from now on, you must restrain yourself when dealing with human ladies.

Thinking so, he had already reached his room’s door. The night was deep, and both Moli’s and his own room’s lights were off. To avoid waking them, Fisher did not call Emhardt to come out and apologize.

He gently pushed his room door open, revealing the quiet and spacious room inside.

Old Jack and the three Mouse Ladies slept on the only bed in the room. Children are hard to calm down; earlier, when Fisher had gone out for a walk, the three energetic Mouse Ladies were already struggling to stay awake, their eyelids fighting to stay open while they still clamored about going out to challenge the Steel Blade Parrot.

But they had fallen asleep in Old Jack’s arms before long. Old Jack was also aging, and after a day and night of fleeing, he couldn’t resist turning off the light early to rest.

Fisher alone lifted the blankets and lay down on the floor. The ship generated a slight rocking motion as it sailed. He turned to his side, lay down, closed his eyes, and cleared all the thoughts from his mind, allowing sleep to envelop his consciousness, letting it freely fall.

...

...

"Huh..."

He didn’t know how long he had rested, or when exactly he had woken up. In a fuzzy, half-conscious state, he faintly felt someone approaching; initially, he thought it was a surreal dream so he didn’t pay much attention to it. However, when the cool sea breeze genuinely slapped against his cheeks from outside the door, he sensed something was amiss.

He opened his tired eyes a bit and saw that it was still moonlit outside, but his room door had somehow cracked open. Most horrifyingly, there was a figure kneeling beside his bed!

Fisher instantly became half-awake, but he still didn’t make any rash moves. Continuing to keep his side-sleeping position, in his peripheral vision, he saw a whale tail behind the figure at his side, and faint flapping noises kept coming from their ears.

Moli?

Having confirmed that the figure was Moli and not an enemy, Fisher’s heart relaxed slightly.

But before he could entirely ease, his heart suddenly leapt again.

For no other reason than seeing Moli, at that very moment, putting her hands together into a hammer shape, then kneeling and moving a step or two closer to the edge of Fisher’s bed, she tightly closed her eyes and also aimed her hands at Fisher’s head,

"I’m... I’m sorry, Fisher."

Wait, she came to his room this late just to hit him?

Seeing her with her eyes closed, about to deliver a heavy blow, Fisher was frightened into alertness. He knew Moli’s strength; one hit might breakthrough the floor, let alone his fragile head.

"Moli..."

The next moment, before she could raise her hands to strike, Fisher quickly opened his eyes and stopped her next move.

Hearing Fisher’s voice, her action stiffened slightly, and her pitch-black eyes opened in panic, looking toward Fisher lying there,

"Ah? Fi... Fisher, I... I was just..."

Her head was so scrambled that smoke seemed about to rise from it. Seeing the awakened Fisher on the bed, she briefly looked down at her clenched hands, panic causing her mouth to fumble, and for a moment, she couldn’t say anything, even forgetting to retract her strike-ready hands,

"I’m... I’m sorry!"

The atmosphere paused for a second, but Moli, in a fit of self-abandonment, closed her eyes again, raised her hands, and directly swung at Fisher’s head.

Facing the oncoming wind, Fisher’s eyes sharpened, and seizing the right moment, he suddenly got up, grabbed her hands, and pinned her beneath him,

"Thump..."

The movement wasn’t very big, but it still made a slight sound.

Currently, with Old Jack and Karma in the room, and Alagina next door, making a big disturbance wouldn’t be good.

Actually, Moli hardly had any strength to resist, or rather, after her failed night attack, she was so panicked she couldn’t face herself, fearing what Fisher might say or do, and couldn’t simply speak up.

Moreover, Moli wouldn’t have just knocked him unconscious and dragged him back to sea, would she?

"Uh..."

Just as Moli was about to say something, Fisher quietly raised his index finger, signaling her not to talk. This abrupt action halted her, and she sullenly pressed her lips together.

After catching Moli, Fisher suddenly noticed that her hair and eyes had turned completely black, and that black hair was wet, as if continuously exuding black ink, clinging to her long hair. Teardrops also slid down her cheeks onto the ground without making a sound.
