Chapter 386: 154. Spirit Realm and Escape (Three in One, Alliance Leader Bonus Chapter)_4
The wooden boat seemed to have been used for a long time. Although a pale purple glow enveloped its exterior, protecting the hull, barnacles inevitably grew on its sides, adorning it with a layer of shallow armor.
Raya and Fisher boarded the ship together, while Nia walked expressionlessly to the side of the boat and addressed the passengers,
"Raya will take you away from the Nali waters, but she cannot stay away from the Gate for too long. Therefore, she will leave the ship first. After you land or are rescued, just push this wooden boat back into the ocean, and I will retrieve it."
Fisher looked at the two Demons in front of him, thought for a moment, and then reached out his arm to them again, saying,
"You may extract the Fallen Self once more as compensation for the trade."
Seeing that they got nothing from the draw but still had to take him and his companions away, Fisher, though not a Vampire, considered their situation for once.
But Nia shook her head at the Human before her,
"Never mind, according to Demon rules, when a Great Demon leaves a Seal on someone, it means you belong to her. Us extracting the Fallen Self to some extent is already an offense to her... If it were not Lord Elliog, but another petty Demon God, they might have already been enraged."
Hearing this, Fisher gave a strange look. He wasn’t sure when Elliog had placed a Seal on him, but since she said so, Fisher didn’t insist anymore.
"By the way, this is something that Lord Elliog dropped while sleeping on the boat. If you get the chance, please return this item to her."
Nia pulled out a small pouch from the void, just as she took it out Fisher heard the clear sound of metal from within. She then tossed the pouch to Fisher from a distance, saying,
"It seems to contain many coins." Fisher opened it to check, and saw it was completely filled with Nali Gold Coins. No wonder Elliog couldn’t pay for her drink when he first met her.
"I understand."
"Then let’s set off!"
After these words, Raya, standing on the bow, tugged on the huge purple scythe towards the shore, and the wooden boat gently landed in the rapid water beside it.
The tiny wooden boat seemed extremely insignificant in front of this turbulent underground river. Just as everyone on the boat felt an evident sensation of being engulfed, Raya at the bow smiled slightly. The large scythe in her hand strangely paddled through the air, as if cutting through nothingness, yet generating tremendous force that dragged the wooden boat straight into the water stream.
Fisher’s expression tightened as he watched the surrounding water waves being blocked by a pale purple illusory shield, while the wooden boat sank deeper into the dim tunnel, soon entering the Ocean.
The underground river was deeply located, but it quickly floated upwards. Fisher looked down through the side of the ship and just saw the Sun hanging high in the sky along with numerous gigantic Nali Navy ships.
The wooden boat got closer and closer to the water surface until it completely pressed against the underside of the water, as if held up by it.
At this moment, the Sea Floor turned into the water surface above, and the location of the Navy ships became submerged underwater. Most importantly, covered by the purple light, no one above noticed the wooden boat in motion.
Book Knight floated mid-air, looked at the spectacular view below, and muttered in amazement,
"How was this achieved? There’s no record of such a thing in the books... Demon magic? Or what else enables us to submerge underwater?"
Meanwhile, Fisher, observing the continuously passing water flow, faintly saw countless stars scattered within the water pushed aside by the purple light. He shook his head as a concept suddenly entered his mind,
"No, we are now in the Spirit Realm."
Raya, paddling the boat ahead, showed a bit of surprise. With a smile, she looked back at Fisher seated on the boat and exclaimed,
"Oh? To think there’s someone knowledgeable here, no wonder the Duke left a Seal on you... but to be precise, we are not in the Spirit Realm, but in the Gap between the Spirit Realm and the world. That’s why you can see the shadows of both realms at the same time."
Old Jack, also holding the three Mouse Ladies, curiously looked outside at the flurry of dots in the water streams, but after one glance, he felt increasingly like those stars were not stars, but living eyes!
This eerie discovery frightened Old Jack so much that he quickly withdrew his gaze, sat back in the cabin with the Mouse Ladies, and even covered their heads to stop them from looking carelessly.
Then, as he reached out his hand, he touched several freshly washed clean rats carried by the three girls in his family!
Old Jack’s face instantly darkened, and he scolded them,
"Didn’t I say you aren’t allowed to bring rats out anymore?"
Upon hearing this, Karma and the three girls, along with all the rats, put their hands in front of them, making a pleading and pitiful gesture,
"But Grandpa, if we don’t bring them, they’ll get depressed among the rat group."
"Depressed? What nonsense are you talking?"
"It’s what you and we talked about, Grandpa. When an individual is very different from the group, they feel uncomfortable. It’s like us living in Human society, or like Dian Dian One living with other foolish rats. They get really sad without anyone to talk to... could you always go without talking to anyone, Grandpa?"
