Chapter 374: 152. Alicia (Three in One, Alliance Leader Bonus Chapter)_2

He even remembered what their conversation had been like,

"...Elizabeth, do you know how many people will die because of this plan?"

"I know, but I’ve made the plan as perfect as possible and minimized the losses. If they don’t die now, more will die once Dexter comes into power. Compassion and kindness can’t lead troops, you taught me that, and I’ve come to understand it deeply through those thirty-three battles."

Thinking of this, Damian couldn’t help but close his eyes, praying that his and the Griffin Party’s choice was correct.

...

...

"Home..."

It wasn’t long before the bizarre creature, moving at extraordinary speed, had arrived at the gates of Saint Nali. The Nali police had already lined up their police carriages in a row, and all the armed officers hid behind the carriages, mounting muskets to form a defensive line.

The chief officer of the Nali Police, donning a long cap with a Knight Sword emblem, felt the ground trembling more and more, watching helplessly as the creature, like a tiny black dot in the distance, drew closer and larger; a flesh monster, struggling and squirming, with a length of forty meters and a height of twenty meters, was coming towards Saint Nali.

"Leola, set up the Guard Magic!"

"Chief, Guard Magic against something like this..."

"Don’t worry about it, use everything we’ve got! The army should quickly realize something’s wrong here. Our duty is to do our utmost to hold it back outside Saint Nali before the army takes over!"

The female chief officer, who had met Fisher once, gritted her teeth and nodded. Then she ran quickly past each carriage, calling out to the officers to awaken the "Guard Magic."

This type of magic was essentially a protective magic used by the Nali police to restrict suspects’ freedom, protect the scene, and manage traffic control. Simply put, it was a wall that could be moved at any time, high enough to reach three to four stories. But the ten-plus-meter height seemed rather insignificant facing this huge behemoth.

But, as the head of the Saint Nali Police had said, this was their duty, and they had to do it, even though they knew it was impossible.

Leola, riding a swift horse, while raising her gun to alert the officers, roared loudly,

"Set up the Guard quickly! Use the carriages as a barrier! Hurry!"

"Yes!"

As rods bearing the Magic Emblems were thrust into the ground one by one, a wall shimmering with azure light suddenly rose, blocking the path of the creature named Anna.

"It’s coming!! Get out of the way!"

The terrifying giant beast named Anna, though very fierce in appearance, seemed to have no desire to attack these people blocking its path, or rather, it didn’t even seem to notice their existence.

It just dumbly stared in a certain direction, constantly moving towards it.

But even so, its advance was not something that the scantily equipped Nali police could manage.

As it approached, half of its body was held back by the Guard Magic, and thousands of its mouths let out violent cries. Many arms of women and infants reached out behind the Guard Magic, attempting to climb over the magic that blocked its path.

"Ying..."

"Open fire!"

The sound of countless muskets firing thundered, the bullets from the guns burrowing into Anna’s body, shattering the organs that surfaced on its body, and releasing a stench in the process.

"Woo woo!"

Wounds exploded on its surface as it seemed to be enraged, the chewing and crying from its thousands of mouths growing more frantic.

Under its hysterical attacks, the Guard Magic upfront was squeezed and toppled, carriages fell askew and many officers shooting their guns retreated in panic.

And what was more terrifying, the wounds that the officers had just inflicted with their muskets began to heal instantly; to the creature, these simple attacks were as if nonexistent, completely insignificant.

It was a good thing it had no desire to attack them; otherwise, the damage could have been much worse.

"What in the world is this thing?!"

"Chief, you need to get out of here first."

"No! It’s about to enter the city of Saint Nali, we..."

"Crack!"

But before the police chief could finish speaking, Anna had already crushed through the frail Guard Magic in an instant. The Magic Emblems planted in the ground burst and shattered on the spot, and as the magic broke apart, the carriages held by it were flipped and tossed, leaving many officers with no choice but to turn and flee.

"Boss, I’ll try to draw it away from here. See if I can get it to give up on entering the city!"

Watching the creature break through the police’s barricade, and with the army still not arriving, Leola feared something had happened inside the Golden Palace. She mounted her horse once again, raising her gun and heading towards the beast.

"Home..."

"You monster!"

Leola aimed her musket at one of the monster’s large eyes, and as the eye burst, the monster’s tail swung out, tripping the horses running behind it, causing Leola to roll several times forward due to inertia.

Her police cap was thrown off, and she hit the ground furiously. Just as she was about to follow the creature, she suddenly noticed another figure on the rooftops on either side of the monster.
