Chapter 357: 145. Protagonist vs. Protagonist (Two in One, Alliance Leader Bonus)_3

Blake’s palm had penetrated Fisher’s skin, and droplets of fresh blood flowed down Fisher’s pants as his vision wavered, but the Demi-human Girls Completion Manual over his chest became burning hot.

"Buzz..."

He clenched his teeth and shut his eyes, but the next second, a cool sea breeze blew around him, his world spinning as if time had stopped and then shifted.

"It seems like there’s a demi-human ahead! My God, it’s even a centaur!"

An unknown voice kept coming, and when Fisher opened his eyes again, he found himself viewing from someone else’s perspective.

At that moment, he stood on the broad shore, where a panic-stricken centaur watched him under the unique giant trees paired with the vibrant chirping of birds and fragrant flowers.

Is this... the South Continent?

Beside "himself," two sailors, brimming with excitement, raised their muskets aiming at the distressed centaur,

"My God, this is a great discovery, let’s turn him into a specimen and take him back!"

"Quick! Quick, he’s about to leave!"

"Hiself" had just prepared to stop them when a large hand covered the musket first, far faster than "him." The moment the musket fired, he forcefully pushed it away, causing the sailor to misfire.

The centaur, startled by the unfamiliar gunshot, ran away anxiously while the two sailors looked panic-stricken at the person who had stopped their action.

From this perspective, beside the two sailors stood a handsome Nali man with messy white shirt and a black captain’s hat.

He had slightly curly blond hair, and his strong arms firmly gripped the musket-wielding sailor, waiting a couple seconds before unhappily lowering the gun.

"Captain Blake..."

"Mr. Captain..."

"We came here to record the new sea routes and discoveries, not to act like butchers. Let the accompanying scholar record this demi-human and take him back, that should be enough for you to make a fortune, there’s no need to kill him... Now, come see what else this new continent has in store. And..."

The young Blake turned towards "himself," gently tossing his own waist-mounted musket over,

"You, madam, should take a weapon for self-defense, just in case something unexpected happens."

"... Thank you, Blake."

"You’re welcome, and... call me captain."

Fisher suddenly realized that he was experiencing the perspective of Mu Xi!

But with the urgency of the situation, there was no time to delve into Mu Xi’s story, he somewhat wanted to return to the real fight, but that perspective didn’t heed his commands and kept changing.

Here, he fully witnessed her story with Blake.

They had journeyed from developing the South Continent, navigating different routes in their sailing ship, and throughout that process, Blake always acted as a competent captain.

He was kind but exuded an unquestionable authority, bravely leading by example. He loved life, willing to share the limited fruits on the ship with others while he himself suffered from bleeding gums and pale complexion due to lack of fruits.

Mu Xi was well-protected by him and never got harmed, so she never revealed her identity as from the Whale-man Species.

During the long journey, romantic feelings developed between them, and Mu Xi was touched by his courage and boldness, deciding to stay on shore for adventures with Blake.

The vision shifted again, and soon Fisher saw a pitch-black realm enveloped by dark clouds through Mu Xi’s perspective—she and a group of sailors were retreating.

This was the Storm Sea.

"Boom!"

"The Storm Sea is expanding; if we continue like this, none of us will get away! Mu Xi, take the sailors and leave!"

And just as Mu Xi turned back, she saw Blake, staying behind, suddenly weighed down by numerous dark clouds trying to drag him back.

Watching all the sailors wanting to return to save him, he shook his head furiously at them, urging them to decisively abandon him.

In such circumstances, Mu Xi sent the sailors away and chose to go alone to rescue Blake, and it was at this moment that she revealed her Whale-man Identity for the first time in front of Blake.

He might have reacted like other humans, repulsed by an unknown demi-human being, but Blake was not like that; he was just surprised and then smiled seeing her whale tail,

"I should have guessed, from the moment you ate three times what the other sailors did, I knew there was something off about you."

"Huh? Are you saying you have a problem with that?"

"Of course not, actually, I’m quite happy... but say, can you please hurry and get me out of here?"

Blake shone like the sun.

He was selfless, passionate, and kind, embodying the best qualities of humanity; after countless adventures, he and Mu Xi finally decided to return to Blake’s homeland to get married. They planned to settle there and live happily.

Although Mu Xi had to conceal her identity in human society, she occasionally felt jealous over Blake’s attractiveness, but Blake really did well.

He refused the King’s marriage grant, turned down all the women who tried to woo him, and in a secluded church, he presented her with a ring symbolizing vows, accomplishing the grand feat of marrying a demi-human and there he pledged his marriage vows.
