Chapter 349: 143. The First Pioneer (10,000-word long Chapter, alliance leader bonus)_2

"The nose belongs to Limi, the cheeks to Haturu... here, Amash, here is Skodali, here is Kajie, here is Butulu..."

Anna’s movements from top to bottom, she could point out accurately whose part belonged to whom.

Yes, there was not a single part of Anna’s body that was her own anymore; her entire body was made up of the flesh of her deceased sisters.

How could Anna, created from the most beautiful parts of dozens of girls, not be considered the most beautiful woman in the world?

"...This was your own choice, wasn’t it?"

Blake sighed, slowly standing up. His aged face still looked somewhat unwell, but compared to the near-collapse state of Anna, he was much better off.

"It was you who saw your dying sisters, who cried and begged me to graft them onto your body. You know, this experimental subject’s position was meant for Kachina..."

"Yes! But I can’t forget why those sisters died! They trusted you so much! They trusted you would treat them well. How did you treat them?!"

"They were just toys in your hands, steps towards your disgusting goal, and I was no different!"

Anna no longer wanted to waste words with Blake. Staggering, she rushed toward the bell in front of her. Blake moved at the same time, but now his body was slightly trembling, no different from an ordinary old man, and his actions were extremely slow.

Clearly, like Anna, he too suffered the sequelae caused by the influence of Space Magic.

Anna grabbed the bell before Blake could, yanking it into her hand. Because of her grip, the bell wobbled slightly, emitting a string of crisp, delightful sounds.

"Ding-a-ling~"

After the ringing of the bell, Anna suddenly felt a comfortable sensation spreading from her fingertips, while the old Blake, too stiff to walk, roared in transformation, becoming light on his feet,

"No! Let go of that bell!"

The next second, Anna slammed the bell onto the ground.

The bell, made of metal, didn’t shatter despite the impact, but its surface spread with numerous fine cracks, and the pleasant bell sound abruptly turned harsh and piercing. At that sound, both Blake and Anna felt an insane amount of pain.

Blake’s forward movement in midair stiffened momentarily, and he plunged to the ground in extreme pain, covering his body as if he was suffering the most severe punishment and torture in the world.

"Do you realize what you’ve done?! Anna!"

Anna, too, was experiencing intense pain, blood flowing from all her orifices. Even so, she still managed to lift her hand, trying to pick up the bell and smash it again.

"Stop, Anna!"

Just then, a silver weapon, like a whip, snatched the bell away before Anna could act. She stared, turning her head to look behind her. There, emerging from behind Golden Mountain, with a stern face, Fisher violently yanked the bell into his hand.

"Why?! Fisher, why are you stopping me? I was so close!"

Anna, bleeding from all orifices, screamed at Fisher in frustration and anger. Her desire for freedom had driven her to the brink of madness. She didn’t bother to ask why her body was in pain when she smashed the bell, seeing it merely as a necessary trial in the pursuit of freedom.

Enduring the agony, she tried to crawl towards Fisher to snatch back the bell.

"Anna, smashing the bell won’t save you! This is not the Life and Death Bell at all—it’s a lie from Blake! Its purpose isn’t to limit your freedom, but to stabilize the flesh grafted inside you!"

Fisher grabbed the now cracking bell with a cold look, relieved that the relic didn’t break.

He had managed to snatch the bell away just before Anna acted, preventing her from making that foolish move.

"Anna, you’ve been free all along. This was just a lie Blake concocted to keep you by his side. As long as he had someone strike the bell, not shake it, your body would be in agony, making you think it could control you."

"What... what?"

The crawling Anna turned her head in disbelief to look at Blake, who sat on the ground, catching his breath quietly while watching the disheveled Anna.

As he watched the girl who had been so manipulated, finally coming to a sudden realization, Blake looked at her and mocked,

"You fool, even if you destroyed that bell, the only one ruined would be you... Don’t you understand after all this time, if that bell could truly control your life and death at will, how could you ever have the chance to betray me?"

Blake caught his breath and slowly stood up, his gaze sharp as a hawk’s sweeping past those in front of him. The bell remained intact, and Blake felt much less of the effect than Anna did, also because Anna had accidentally shaken the bell, making his unstable condition somewhat recover...

Moli supported Anna, whose eyes were stunned, and led her behind Fisher. She wiped the blood mixed with tears from Anna’s cheeks, feeling a tad heartbroken as she let her rest by her side.
