Chapter 298: 123. Moli’s Aunt (6000)_3
Fisher reached for the doorknob but then suddenly realized the door was locked. Just as he was about to forcefully break in, Moli’s hand made contact with the door, and in an instant, it twisted as if subjected to extreme compression, even shattering some of the doorframe, and fell backward into the room.
"It’s open!"
Fisher could only laugh and withdraw his hand, then gently patted her head. Ever since she started her awakening training, Fisher was increasingly worried that when she knocked him unconscious and took him back to the sea, she might have damaged his brain. And now, it seemed quite possible, didn’t it?
The healing room was very plain, with a small white square bed in the corner and a desk beside it. The desk was bare, holding only a simple vase in the shape of a wave.
Fisher opened the curtains of the small room, and through the hazy night, he could only see the golden glow, akin to the aurora, completely enveloping the Healing Room, while the Klein River continued to flow.
It seemed the windowsill wasn’t the inner entrance.
Fisher looked at the vase on the desk and lightly touched it, only to discover that the vase could be twisted. As he reached out, a soft hand suddenly covered the back of his hand.
At that moment, Moli was still holding his other hand, which meant that this wasn’t Moli...
Fisher turned his head toward the doorway only to find Kachina, the Healing Room’s spokeswoman, standing there. But now, she was devoid of her previously beautiful appearance.
Her whole body seemed to have swollen slightly, and her elongated right hand had become excessively long, stretching like a toad’s tongue across the entire room and landing on Fisher’s hand, halting his attempt to open the inner layer.
"Let go of Fisher!"
Moli took a deep breath and swung her hand at the arm, but Kachina’s arm, which seemed to be made up of countless insects, exploded upon impact. Numerous bug-like creatures with human skin, resembling cockroaches, suddenly spread their wings and appeared.
And upon closer inspection, each cockroach-like bug had a large human eye on its back!
Just one glance brought together the elements of cockroaches, human eyes, and human skin in an excessively harmonious and revolting blend, making Moli nearly vomit.
"Son of the Sea! The Son of the Sea is with you!"
Fisher seized the opportunity to violently throw a playing card that cut into Kachina’s flesh like a blade, sending her flying before she could finish her sentence, crashing into the corridor. At the same time, the card began to emit a slow white glow, and a symbol of a Ring Head with the word "Gravity" appeared in midair.
Six-Ring Gravity Magic, "Rejection".
The effect of this magic was as straightforward as its name, essentially releasing an opposing force in a particular direction. The mage who invented this magic wanted it to power carriages or trains, but the opposing force turned out to be unexpectedly strong.
It was said that the initial experiment blew apart the test carriage and injured many bystanders, which showed how exaggerated the expelled opposite force was.
The most critical part was that modifying the sub-ring didn’t change the strength of the force, making the much-anticipated "Rejection" magic a laughingstock, and the inventor mage quickly disappeared from the public eye...
Yet Fisher had discovered that while modifying the sub-ring resulted in minor changes, altering the ring tail resulted in significant alterations.
Fisher modified the target of the spell, causing it to exert intense repelling forces in all directions—as long as it could penetrate an object...
"Boom!"
Just like now, in the next second, Kachina’s body suddenly swelled and then exploded under the force of the magic, blown to pieces, yet Fisher’s expression didn’t relax one bit.
The reason was the same as his recent battle with the Kraken; Kachina’s body didn’t spurt any blood. Instead of liquid flowing, there was a dense vibrating sound like ten thousand flies buzzing near your ear,
"Buzz buzz buzz..."
The intense buzzing gradually melded into a sharp female voice, filled with madness and rage, which yelled at Fisher and Moli in the room,
"Leave the Son of the Sea!"
Fisher’s expression remained unchanged because with his earlier turning of the mechanism, a small secret door suddenly appeared on the wall beside the bed. He made a lightning-fast decision and pulled Moli into the secret door beside them.
Behind the secret door was a staircase. Fisher and Moli tumbled sideways, inevitably bumping over the steps, but Fisher protectively held Moli in his arms and also drew the Fluid Sword from his chest, tugging at the opened secret door to close it.
