Chapter 276: 115. Hoofbeats in Klein Mountain (6000)_3

She took a sharp breath in, stirring the nearby branches into a wild frenzy like a whirlpool. Now was the moment when Moli, the Whale-man Species, also known as the Prophetic Destroyer, unleashed her full power.

But as Mr. Fischer had mentioned, once she entered this state, she would lose all rationality, blindly bombarding her surroundings without distinguishing friend from foe.

Moli was like holding a treasure sword, swinging it while grasping the blade instead of the handle, inevitably causing much harm to herself while injuring the enemy.

After inhaling a lungful of air, she suddenly grabbed Mr. Fischer’s Spinner and violently tore it apart.

The next second, the freed Moli leapt into the air gracefully and powerfully like a killer whale twisting out of water, sprinkling droplets on Mr. Fischer’s cheeks. The next instant, she plummeted down, lunging past the Bee Dance that Fischer had thrown and pouncing directly at him.

Her expression was filled with a misplaced fierceness of hunting and courting, her extended sharp teeth akin to tiger’s fangs, quickly approaching Mr. Fischer.

Fischer’s expression changed suddenly, his Dragon-man Species body going full throttle as he threw the nearby Handcane aside, then sank his weight and spread his arms horizontally to welcome Moli’s approach.

These dance-like movements contrasted greatly with Fischer’s calm expression, as the move wasn’t originally his forte.

It was the Demon Battle Technique written for Fischer by Elliog. Fischer had practiced it many times in front of her, yet she had never been satisfied with his execution.

Now, after a long absence, Fischer’s understanding of these techniques had deepened considerably, but this was still the first time he applied this technique in practice.

Just as Fischer’s gaze flickered, seizing the moment his opponent approached, his outstretched arms encircled her waist in a swift movement, giving her no chance to react as he twisted his torso, flipping her mid-air into a semi-circle and violently slamming her to the ground.

"Boom!"

Empowered by the Dragon-man Species’ physical strength, the impact Fischer made with this move was substantial, creating a large crater in the ground. Moli’s whale tail flickered slightly, but the dark curse in her eyes seemed to be pushed back by Fischer, revealing her original pale blue eyes.

This was the first time Fischer had completely executed Elliog’s battle technique. During training, he had always thought Elliog’s writings, dubbed as "extras for the Demon Dance class," were a joke, as the postures looked bizarre and dance-like. Yet, now applied to the uncontrollable Moli, the technique surprisingly worked well.

At that moment, in the crater, Moli’s eyes reddened slightly, facing another miscontrol. She hesitantly avoided Mr. Fischer’s gaze, slightly embarrassedly apologizing,

"I’m sorry, Mr. Fischer..."

Yes, seemingly out of guilt, she once again referred to him as "Mr. Fischer."

However, Fischer shook his head and extended his hand to her, saying,

"Get up, I didn’t expect to balance you in one go, gradual progress is fine. But you must know, we don’t have much time, you need to try harder..."

"Um..."

Fischer helped her up, explaining as he looked towards the sun partially obscured by leaves in the sky, making some plans in his mind. He turned to Moli and said,

"Let’s tidy up the camp first. I brought camping gear from home. Later tonight, we’ll go hunting, which should also serve as practice. Just remember, if we can’t catch any game, there will be no dinner..."

Hearing that dinner might not be served, Moli pressed her lips tightly, as if undergoing a tremendous trial, decisively nodding in agreement.

Her proactive attitude made Fischer wonder if he needed to change his training method, knowing that teaching methods should tailor to the student. Like needing "reverse psychology" for Rafael, maybe for Moli, he could consider a "due-to-Moli-meat" strategy?

It was just a joke; Fischer realized this method wouldn’t fundamentally solve her fear of dodging. Thus, he quickly dismissed the idea.

...

...

Later, Fischer looked at the erected campsite with satisfaction. This would be their base for the next few days.

Fortunately, since autumn’s arrival, Saint Nali barely had rains anymore, so there was no need to worry about the campsite getting flooded like it would in summer.

After setting up the camp, Fischer planned to take Moli into the mountains to find some wild animals for dinner.

The ecology near Klein Mountain was excellent, and since it was near the Gedelin Royal Family’s private property by Nali Lake, many hunters steered clear of it.

Nali had no wildlife protection laws, but realistically, it was likely fatal to venture into the woods unprepared. Don’t expect Nali’s police to rescue you here; by the time your remains are found, who knows when that would be.

Fischer had strong outdoor exploration skills. Since his time at the Royal College, he was proficient with a firearm. Additionally, studying demi-humans required him to read various notebooks left by pioneering adventurers, which included many survival tips, rendering Fischer quite experienced.
