Chapter 265: 112. Dexter
When Fisher opened his eyes, it was just beginning to dawn outside. It might not have even been seven o’clock yet, but Fisher had awakened early.
The morning breeze slightly swayed the window sheer. Ever since those pollution-emitting factories had been moved away, the air in Saint Nali had greatly improved, and Fisher noticed a faint scent of rain.
It seemed that last night Saint Nali had been graced with an autumn rain, putting a final full stop to its summer.
Fisher woke up quite early today because he had had a particularly terrifying dream.
In the dream, he was knocked unconscious by Moli, who used her whale-sized massive tail, only to wake up to find himself dragged into the pitch-black abyss, with no possibility of returning to land. Then, she spoke some incomprehensible words, forcing him to procreate with her...
Although Fisher could breathe underwater, the uncomfortable feeling of chest tightness he experienced the first time still made him shudder.
The most striking part was Moli, her body shimmering with fluorescence, wearing a dangerous smile saying she would take good care of him. However, the giant water snake next to her was sharpening its knife, ready to chop him into pieces.
At this point in the dream, Fisher abruptly woke up.
Previously, he seldom dreamt; however, whenever he did lately, it was either being stabbed with a dagger by Renie, who transformed into Rafael’s likeness or being knocked unconscious and dragged into the sea by the terrifying Moli.
Either way, it always involved these ladies, and it was always a bad ending!
Fisher rubbed his brow and shifted his gaze to Moli, who was still in her sleep, lips slightly parted on the couch.
She usually woke up early, but this time, Fisher woke up earlier, having been undisturbed by nightmares, allowing him to catch a glimpse of her sleeping form.
Her sleeping posture remained utterly peaceful, lying flat, her lips opening and closing slightly.
Listening closely, he could hear her muttering something softly.
Fisher’s eyebrows raised, seemingly curious about what she was exactly saying. As he moved a bit closer to Moli, Fisher heard her indistinctly speaking the language of the ocean.
Fisher didn’t understand the language of the ocean, but he could still understand some of the onomatopoeic sounds she made. The intermittently uttered word "Fisher" was caught by Fisher, guessing that Moli was up to no good in her dreams.
Mischievously, he lightly touched Moli’s forehead with his finger, which caused her to jump up, as if frightened, and subconsciously yelled at Fisher in front of her,
"I’m... I’m sorry!"
This time she spoke in Nali Language, unclear about what exactly she was apologizing for. Within a second or two, she came back to her senses, her face turning quite red,
"Hmm... huh?"
Having awoken, Moli glanced at Fisher then checked her own clothes, finally confirming she was in Fisher’s room and not in the Sea Trench.
Visibly, a hint of disappointment flashed across her eyes but still with a flush on her cheeks, she spoke to Fisher,
"Fisher, er... no, I mean, good... good morning."
She remembered the words she had spoken last night; although still somewhat unaccustomed, directly calling Fisher by his name seemed to make her very happy, evidenced by the corners of her mouth curving upwards, just as holding hands with Fisher had delighted her for a long time.
She was a naïve and easily satisfied girl, Fisher thought, innocent as uncolored cotton candy – soft and incredibly cute.
Why cotton candy?
Because cotton candy is delicious...
Watching Moli, who was now happily grinning before him, Fisher’s gaze deepened slightly, but ultimately, he did not take any action and just exhaled deeply, standing up to say,
"Good morning. What would you like to eat this morning?"
"Eh? Anything is... no, I mean, I want meat!"
Moli awkwardly struggled to hide her real desires, but after she whispered it softly, she had to vocalize her true wants loudly, unable to express her genuine thoughts without loudly speaking, closing her eyes, and clutching her hands.
Actually, Fisher wasn’t worried about her overcompensating, because realistically, that was just Moli’s nature.
No matter how she changed, at her core she was still a girl who loved considering others. She had only suppressed her desires for a long time, never making excessive demands...
Probably, unless the moment when she unintentionally revealed her desire to knock him unconscious is considered.
"Alright, after Lady Martha leaves, I’ll bring it back for you. Plus, I have to attend to some matters."
These were about donating to Bai Cui Bank and renting a carriage. The charity banquet was set to start this weekend. According to Anna, this week was when Blake secluded himself in his room, making it the optimal opportunity to act on the Healing Room. Fisher was already prepared and ready to take revenge against the Old Immortal.
"Hmm, okay."
Moli’s eyes brightened slightly upon hearing Fisher’s words and then she answered with a smile,
"I will wait here... wait for Fisher to come back.."
