Chapter 239: 101. Exposed_3
The corrosive curse suddenly ceased, and the sea beast collapsed on the spot as if relaxing, its weak, large eyes still fixed on the female whale-man floating in the water.
"Lady... Moli is using the power of the curse. She might be in danger."
"I understand... Relax, only she can achieve balance. I have reminded her of this long ago. As for how or when she can do this, we cannot interfere; we should trust in her."
A gentle, song-like female voice echoed through, causing numerous sea beasts of various sizes, awakened in the dark sea trench, to close their eyes in fatigue and comfortably feel the caress of the ocean.
"I understand..."
"The Full Moon Period has arrived, we cannot help her much, just wait for good news."
...
...
The situation at the sea floor was momentarily unknown, but Moli in the female dormitory was clearly almost driven to madness. In the corridor, wherever her finger pointed, life rapidly dissipated.
At this moment, the gloom in her eyes intensified, almost turning tangible like water soon to fall.
Monsters...
How many more monsters...
Come to die...
Moli stood at the door, silently watching the disappearing multitude of monsters around her, yet she remained in battle state.
The next moment, voices were heard in the staircase,
"Quick! The girl upstairs might have been attacked!"
"Hurry!"
Moli indifferently turned her head and raised her finger towards the stairwell entrance; the next second, several men in security uniforms holding flame guns rushed up.
Upon arriving, they saw a female demi-human with a large whale tail, indifferently pointing at them,
"Demi-human, what is this... Ahhh!"
The leading security guard hadn’t finished speaking when his flame gun-holding arm abruptly began to wither, and he screamed in extreme pain.
Moli seemed slightly awakened by that scream, while the black swirling water flow in the distance was forcefully shattered, revealing the originally clear water inside.
Moli’s chest suddenly returned to its former size, and after a brief pause, she looked toward the human lying beside her clutching his arm...
"Ah?"
A couple of seconds later, upon confirming they were humans not monsters, she panic-strickenly moved to raise her finger to heal the injured man.
But this time, the security team wouldn’t allow her to do so.
"Get back!"
"Bang!"
The sound of the flame gun exploded, and a bullet grazed her arm. Moli cried out in pain, and meanwhile, the leading man’s withered arm had already returned to normal.
But when Moli looked down, she realized she no longer resembled a human; she had completely reverted to her whale-man form,
"She’s a demi-human!"
"Wasn’t there supposed to be a female student?"
The security personnel, armed and advancing, watched as Moli, clutching her injured left arm, was about to speak and explain, but another gunshot rang out, missing her but hitting the door frame beside her, blowing a large hole in it.
"Cease fire!"
Behind the stairs, Fisher finally arrived, holding a Fluid Sword, stopping further conflict.
Outside, there were many monsters intending to attack Moli, almost all of which he alone had stopped; otherwise, far more than just these monsters would have reached the upper floors.
He had just come up, seeing the security guards and instinctively felt something bad was about to happen, and sure enough, the atmosphere in the hallway was tense; besides the moaning guard clutching his arm, the remaining few all pointed their guns at Moli, restored to her original form.
Moli was also injured, initially pursing her lips, her face paling even more on seeing Fisher.
She glanced at the fallen guard; although she had healed him, she still felt extremely guilty, much like a student who had made a mistake in Fisher’s presence.
The next second, she bit her lip and turned swiftly into her bedroom. Fisher quickly followed but saw her grab a notebook from her bed and jump out of the already broken window, disappearing into the vast night.
Fisher, angered, knocked on the windowsill, turning back with a cold face to look at the still-armed security guards who sighed in relief upon confirming Fisher was human, slowly lowering their guns.
"The captain is fine... his hand just suddenly aged years, scared us to death."
"It still hurts some..."
Fisher ignored their conversation, looking into the night where Moli had disappeared, he took a deep breath and returned to the hallway, asking the security guards,
"What’s the situation? There was an invasion in the school just now, where were you?"
"Invasion? We didn’t see anything strange... except for that female demi-human."
The security personnel, all looking perplexed, holding their guns and looking at the pitch-black Saint Nali University outside, said,
"We were patrolling in the southeast direction, it was particularly quiet in the school, no sounds at all. We were just about to go back to the security office at the entrance to change shifts when a female student ran over from the school, saying someone in the female dormitory had been attacked."
"Then we came over and saw a female demi-human standing here, attacking us without a word, she definitely must have eaten that female student!"
Listening to this, Fisher finally understood: that gang of thugs originally intended to take Moli away by sheer numbers, but with Fisher blocking most of the monsters downstairs, and Moli rampaging upstairs, it was impossible to take her away.
They then changed their approach, wanting to drop the news that Moli was a demi-human.
A demi-human studying at Saint Nali University, this was big news, and soon not only Pink Hall would be looking for her.
They wouldn’t even need to spend time looking for Moli; officials from Nali would help them find the person they wanted, they just had to figure out a way to take her away.
It seems likely now that Pink Hall might also have connections inside Nali officials?
Fisher took a deep breath, even knowing their plot he could only make plans later.
After all, Moli had been frightened into fleeing, leaving only Fisher alone in the messy corridor, unclear on what he was thinking.
