Chapter 233: Elizabeth’s Change

Chapter 233: Elizabeth’s Change

After Prince Luosang and his entourage departed, Saint Nali University once again returned to its tranquil state, since it was still the holiday period.

The New Party officials hurriedly bid Princess Elizabeth a quick greeting and left the place, seemingly having other matters to attend to.

A large number of Royal Soldiers also left Saint Nali University under the princess’s command, but at the entrance of the school, the pale-gold carriage remained stationary, with two armed soldiers constantly guarding the Royal carriage.

This also indicated that Princess Elizabeth had not left the place.

"Is this the place where you usually work? The building of the Magic Academy really pales in comparison to those of other colleges."

At a location near the office of the Magic Academy within Saint Nali University, Princess Elizabeth walked ahead, first inspecting the mailboxes in front of the office, then entering Fisher’s office and looking around the not-so-spacious workplace, she teased him so.

In the quiet teaching and administrative building of the Magic Academy, there were only Elizabeth and Fisher, without the usual soldiers protecting her. She had dismissed all of them, and people like Roger and Selena, busy with their romance, couldn’t possibly be present.

Fisher just prepared to pour Elizabeth a cup of coffee but realized there was only his own cup here.

Thinking to fetch a new cup from somewhere else, Elizabeth caught onto his thought, smiled slightly, and pointing at the cup in Fisher’s hand, she said,

"I can drink from your cup, do you mind?"

"Not at all."

Fisher was slightly taken aback, looking at Elizabeth, who wore a smile and was dressed in Royal military uniform, he didn’t hesitate much and poured the ground coffee into his own cup,

"The view here is nice, and you can see the countryside of Saint Nali. I don’t need much space unless there’s an overload of troublesome students."

"If you were to take a position at the Royal College, teacher Damian would probably arrange a whole building for you."

"I am quite content with this office now... please enjoy."

A cup of coffee with three-quarters of a spoon of sugar and a small amount of milk was placed in front of Elizabeth.

Fisher still remembered how Elizabeth used to drink coffee when they attended the Royal College. They would often go to the library to read in the morning, and whoever arrived first would prepare coffee for the other. Therefore, they both remembered each other’s coffee preferences.

"Thank you... And, by the way, could you help me untie this hair knot? This outfit is far from lady-friendly."

"Sure."

It was quite a while into autumn now, and although her military uniform was specially made, it certainly did not meet Elizabeth’s usual standard for dress, not to mention the complicated hairstyle coiled several times at the back of her head, which was unfathomable how those ceremonial officers managed to create.

She first undid a couple of buttons on her clothing to breathe more easily, but she needed Fisher’s help with her hair.

Fisher looked at Elizabeth’s smiling face—she was so young, just as at the age of nineteen when they studied at the Royal College, unchanged in appearance, still as elegant and gentle.

He moved slowly behind Elizabeth, observing her sipping the coffee he prepared in small sips, and then he reached out to untie the bundled hair knot.

Fisher was gentle in his movements, not pulling Elizabeth’s hair painfully, calmly separating the intimidatingly complex Royal hairstyle bit by bit.

"Thank you for your concern in the letter before. Thankfully I had your reminder, or else I could have caught a cold."

Feeling the gentle movements of Fisher’s hand, akin to a massage, Elizabeth did not turn around, instead playfully saying,

"Also, you previously suspected that the attackers on the Schwali Delegation were from Pink Hall... When I came back yesterday, I specifically investigated it and found that both Hidden Affairs Bureau and the police investigation results show it was done by the Witch Research Association. They are now considering purging the members of the association within the territory."

The Hidden Affairs Bureau was Nali Official’s spy and intelligence organization, filled with specially trained all-around Special Agents, specifically handling matters that posed a significant threat to national security.

Fisher did not expect her to look into the details upon her return. His hands did not cease to organize Elizabeth’s hair as he briefed her on the exchange he had with Carlo and reiterated the Magic contents layout, to give her a clear judgment on the matter.

In conclusion, Fisher summarized,

"The people at Pink Hall are not simple; it’s impossible they are only in the entertainment business. Such precise planning must have another purpose behind it."

"Indeed... but recently, Pink Hall, apart from being suspected of New Party transactions, seems to have no clear connection with this incident. I need more clues or evidence to report this matter to my brother or my father."

Elizabeth’s golden hair was completely let down by Fisher, spreading a soft fragrance along her back, reaching her waist, as she reverted to a Lady’s appearance.

She gently lifted a strand of hair behind her ear and turned her head to say so.

Her side profile, golden eyes reflecting her own image, stared at herself, her lips unadorned with the red color of makeup yet enticing like a lustrous treasure beckoning one to bow their head in appreciation.

"I understand, a useful lead might surface soon. When I have more information, I’ll contact you, and thank you for your help."
