Chapter 210: 91. Companion Sea Beast

Mr. Fischer had previously thought that the location of the relic was in Kado, since the Witch Research Association was headquartered there. But, in the end, the relic turned out to be in the Northern Realm, which gave Fischer quite the headache.

Mr. Fischer didn’t know the Northern Language, especially since this place was within the territory of the Sardinia Female Country, where cultural customs favored female worship, so very few foreign men went there.

However, there were indeed many miraculous feats of nature within the Sardinia Female Country, with three known peaks, two of which were within its borders, including countless snow-capped mountains—an unknown space that humans had seldom set foot in for thousands of years.

Mr. Fischer had previously heard news of relics being excavated there, so it was reasonable to assume their presence.

As for what types of demi-humans were there, Mr. Fischer was still unclear, and he was very curious about them.

Having obtained some clues, Mr. Fischer decided to put his plans to go to the relic on hold, considering there was still a pile of things to do in Nali City at the moment. Once he finished his busy schedule, he’d find time to set sail and explore the area—not to mention, he had to save some money first; treating Moli to meals had nearly bankrupted him.

Speaking of Kado, Renie had been unreachable up to this point. The lark in the photo had disappeared a long time ago, and he didn’t know where she had gone. Fischer had never encountered this situation before and could only trust that nothing was wrong with her.

Having received the relic location from the Prince of Carolina Tolosan, Mr. Fischer left the restaurant and headed towards his office.

He had previously arranged with Moli that she would spend the afternoons in his office for the next few weeks. Isabella and Milica had returned home the day after the conference, and as the academic conference had Saint Nali University on break for the week, most students, except for those like Moli who had nowhere else to stay, had gone home.

Moreover, Saint Nali was currently celebrating the Gedelin Festival. There were many entertaining things to do in the city, much better than staying at the university.

When Mr. Fischer returned to his office, the beautiful girl was leaning over the desk, staring at a box on the desk—who else could it be but Moli?

Moli, because of her figure, always liked to wear clothing similar to dresses, which highlighted her temperament as both serene and sweet, especially when one saw her rosy, smiling face, it would always uplift the mood of others.

As soon as Mr. Fischer opened the door, Moli was startled, stood up from the desk, and tucked her black hair behind her ear, looking embarrassed.

"Mr. Fischer..."

He glanced at the box on the desk and asked,

"What is this?"

"I... I don’t know either... It was delivered by a teacher from the academic affairs office."

She said, swallowing saliva. As Mr. Fischer approached the box, he smelled a faint scent of buttercream, opened it, and found a small cake with a bright red cherry on top.

It was a small gift from the academic affairs office.

You couldn’t deny that Saint Nali University treated its teachers quite well, such as the previous theater tickets, the occasional small desserts delivered to the office, and most importantly, a very generous salary.

However, there was still a certain threshold to be a teacher here.

There were many mages out there, but Ken only wanted to hire members of the Nali Magic Association. Considering the entire Nali Magic Association only had about three hundred members, it was clear how prestigious this title was, with an average age of thirty-six among the members, and Fischer being the youngest member.

This was all thanks to his development of two original "Air" Ring Head magic spells, one being "Bee Dance" and the other "Spinner."

Bee Dance, a combat magic spell, wasn’t widely used, but Spinner became extensively utilized due to its durability and broad application in areas including construction, rescue, and public security.

It was just unfortunate that when Fischer had written these two spells in his magic thesis, he explicitly stated "no patent fees," otherwise he would probably be very wealthy now.

Speaking of wealth, Mr. Fischer reached into his pocket and placed a pile of Naliou bills in front of Moli. She had previously entrusted him to help sell some of the golden jewelry she had brought up from the sea floor, and with just a few items, she had already made close to one hundred thousand Naliou.

The gold artifacts were doing okay. Since the South Continent had been opened up, a lot of gold had flowed from the goblin homelands to various countries in the Western Continent, and the price of gold was no longer as expensive as it had been.

The most valuable treasure Moli had was a Black Pearl as big as a palm, which alone had sold for seventy thousand.

"This is the money from the treasures you gave me to sell; it’s about the highest price you can get in Saint Nali."

Moli didn’t count the money, but instead, struggled to shift her gaze away from the cake on the table, seemingly contemplating something.

After thinking for a while, she suddenly had an idea, took a bill from the table, and held it out to Mr. Fischer with both hands, her face turning red as she quietly asked,

"Mr. Fischer, could I buy this piece of cake with money?"

Mr. Fischer was momentarily stunned, then amused by her silly appearance, and he shook his head, saying,

"A hundred Naliou could order a face-sized luxury cake from the best cake shop in the city center, this cake isn’t worth that much... Keep it, I had actually meant for you to eat it."
