Chapter 199: 85. Confused

"Moli, are you hurt?"

"I can’t believe that something like this actually happened today. What is the New Party doing? They had assured my brother so confidently before, and this time, he will surely be very disappointed."

Isabella, Milica, and Moli were discussing the recent events on their way back to the dormitory. Moli looked somewhat exhausted, clearly having been through a tough battle.

Milica and Isabella were both understanding girls and did not ask what had happened inside. Instead, they were quite concerned about whether she was hurt.

"I... I’m not hurt, it’s just..."

Moli looked at the two of them, and for some reason, she suddenly thought of her roommate Milica, who liked Mr. Fischer. And it seemed that she had met Isabella’s sister before, who also had an involved relationship with Mr. Fischer, although she didn’t remember clearly because she was eating strawberry cake at the time.

In any case, they both had a good relationship with Mr. Fischer.

And to think that she herself had been so close to Mr. Fischer... Although maybe Mr. Fischer hadn’t thought of it in that way, the contact they had in the cupboard had scared her nearly enough to reveal her true form, her heart beating far too rapidly at the time.

Moli suddenly remembered the feeling when Mr. Fischer had grabbed her hand; he had taken her down from the floor to meet with others, giving her a profound sense of safety that she had instinctively reached out to him as she emerged from the magic...

This was... this was utterly shameless...

Moli looked at her two worried roommates and suddenly felt a sense of guilt, as though she had sneakily done something wrong behind their backs.

Instead, Isabella and Milica sensed the apologetic look in Moli’s eyes. They exchanged puzzled glances, feeling that something wasn’t quite right.

But after all, their roommate had just come out of such dangerous magic; perhaps she was just frightened?

"I... I want to take a bath."

Moli said softly to her roommates, eager to escape their gaze,

"Sure, go ahead."

Moli grabbed some fresh clothes and filled the dormitory tub with hot water. Then, she slowly removed her clothes, sinking gently into the water. The soft water was like a blanket, making her eyes squint with comfort, letting the current massage her body.

"Lord Ramasitia..."

As she squinted, she said those words. In front of her, a whirlpool made of water currents appeared in the bathtub, quietly looking at her, emitting bubbles in reply. Then, the water snake made of currents rose up, peering at her with an uplifted head.

Moli reached out her hand from the water and gently touched her lips, but just a light touch made her lips tingle sensitively, so she quickly withdrew her hand. That brief contact made her remember what had happened close to Mr. Fischer inside that cupboard, and as she recalled the sensation, her skin began to spread a faint blush.

"Lord Ramasitia, Humans are such a peculiar race... I really like the buildings they construct, and I enjoy the food they make. Ever since coming ashore, I especially love the sunshine outside. I might not understand Humans well, but this time has indeed left a deep impression on me."

"They like to talk, to be together, to share food with partners, and they have beliefs they stand by, deciding to act and strive without regret for those beliefs..."

She thought of the words of encouragement from Mr. Fischer, his concentrated look when he sought Truth, the composed expression when he refuted other scholars, and the feeling of security that kept flowing from within when he stood in front of her...

Mr. Fischer was indeed a very kind and excellent Human, even to a Whale-man like herself...

Next to the water snake grew two little hands, resting on its hips, it tilted its head looking at Moli, not sure of what to say.

"Hmm, I know, I know, you see all Life as the same, each different yet returning to the same source... By the way, do you think Mr. Fischer will tell others about me being a demi-human?"

The water snake nodded and then patted its chest confidently.

"But I don’t think he will. Mr. Fischer is someone who keeps his promises."

Hearing Moli’s silly voice, the water snake fell silent for a second, then the water on its head suddenly sprayed out, splashing on her face, making Moli block its assault with her hands.

"Ah, stop splashing me..."

Ramasitia didn’t continue to splash her but stood with its arms crossed, head down muttering something, bubbles frothing in the water like boiling water, causing Moli to pout.

"I didn’t forget my mission, I have delivered the message to Humans. Now, I just need to find Aunt Mu Xi. Mr. Ling Jiu brought up the stuff Auntie sent back to the Ocean, and I will search for her."

Moli smiled, then suddenly remembered how Mr. Fischer had roughly grasped Lord Ramasitia in his palm before—that’s why he didn’t like Mr. Fischer, right?
