Chapter 190: 82. Where the Magic is

Mr. Fischer had brought Moli downstairs and started searching for a restroom that could turn her back into a human. He wasn’t even sure if the faucets would still work, considering they were in a High Ring Space Magic environment; it would be a disaster if the water was completely cut off.

He wasn’t sure about the other water sources either...

It was just a ’what if.’

"Over here, hurry."

Mr. Fischer naturally pulled Moli into the women’s restroom. Moli, with her cheeks slightly flushed, walked to the sink and turned on the faucet. A stream of cool water fell into the sink, and she quickly cupped some in her hands,

"Thank goodness! There’s still water..."

Afterward, she gently bowed her head and whispered in a strange language Mr. Fischer couldn’t understand,

"Great Lord Ramasitia, please use the bond between all living creatures, water, to transmit your voice to me again..."

A bizarre occurrence unfolded: in Moli’s hands, the rootless puddle of water seemed to connect to an abyss somewhere deep and unfathomable. A couple of seconds later, some creature appeared to hear her voice, responding as bubbles began to gently emerge from the water with a rhythmic regularity, almost as if conversing with a living being.

Mr. Fischer observed the emerging bubbles, unsure how the Ocean Subhuman’s worshiped God connected to Moli through just that bit of water.

"Lord Ramasitia, please help me hide my original appearance again, I beg of you."

The water ceased bubbling and, like a lively snake, slithered up Moli’s arm, transforming along the way. Different types of animal organs and appearances seemed to emerge in the water, resembling ten thousand faces, ten thousand living creatures surfacing at once.

This reminded Mr. Fischer of the God’s title: God of Hundred Forms.

As the water flowed, Moli’s body began to shift from her limbs back to her original human form, and curiously, her palms appeared less damp after the water flowed over them.

But wasn’t the change happening a bit too slowly?

Mr. Fischer noticed the water faltering briefly, feeling an unstable connection between her and the God, as if it might sever at any moment.

Moli, watching the slowly moving water, turned her pitiful gaze towards Mr. Fischer and said,

"Mr. Fischer... we are very, very far from the ocean. Lord Ramasitia mentioned that His power struggles to cross the boundaries of the world, so the process is slow."

Mr. Fischer was unaware that Moli looked so pitiful because she was extremely hungry; the meeting had been scheduled for around ten in the morning, and since they had been here for several hours, it was well past lunchtime.

Back in the sea trench, she didn’t eat much – one meal could last a long time. Now following human schedules, she felt like eating lots of delicious food every day. But clearly, with Lord Ramasitia’s current connection strength, dreaming of eating was far-fetched; managing to revert to her human form was already a stretch.

She continued to endure her hunger, though frustration showed as her black elongated ears fluttered up and down.

Mr. Fischer observed Moli, who was slowly transforming back into a human. They weren’t too far from the others, and he could faintly hear them fighting monsters in the distance. He was somewhat worried about their safety. He didn’t know much about Prince Luosang, Roger’s combat skills were average at best, and likely few others could fight well.

Explosion sounds and screams continued to echo from afar. Mr. Fischer guessed they must have used the Silver Mirror to fend off the monsters. After a while, he felt the dense mass of creatures noticing their presence and starting to shift their attack direction towards them.

Countless grotesque creatures surged their way, but Mr. Fischer was not scared. Instead, he suddenly felt that these creatures looked unnaturally similar, and his prior suspicion about the murder scene resurfaced.

He picked up his Fluid Sword and Handcane. The Handcane in his left hand sparked with a Six Ring white Magic Array, one Mr. Fischer had personally engraved, called "Flowing Cloud" – a more powerful version of Bee Dance, with a much higher lethality but difficult to control.

As the white emblem glowed, wind blades like twisting vortices followed the restroom’s walls, slashing outward. The whole effect resembled a vortex, twisting outward and blowing the foul monsters away like a meat grinder.

But outside, more monsters continuously poured forth. The next moment, however, there were deep roars of lions from behind the group of creatures, as if a living lion was advancing towards them.

Likely someone was coming to retrieve him and Moli.

Mr. Fischer turned back to Moli, now nearly transformed back into a human, save for the whale tail still dragging behind.

"Mr... Mr. Fischer... my tail."

"It’s alright, almost done... wait, how come your ears haven’t changed back?"

"Eh?"

Moli blankly looked at Mr. Fischer and then subconsciously moved her ears, which fluttered like whale fins with distinctive white spots like those of a killer whale.

She touched her ears atop her head, looked down at the Water Snake that had completely disappeared her tail, twisted its head with a cumbersome expression, and then looked up – her ears were still unchanged.

"!"

The water snake looked back in astonishment, a surprised expression on its face, and then struggled slowly towards Moli’s head.

"Can’t we just grab it and place it next to the head?"

"How can we grab Lord Ramasitia... hey, hey?"

Mr. Fischer stretched out his hand and grabbed the water snake firmly. The snake writhed irritably, waiting for Mr. Fischer to place it beside Moli’s neck, then turned its head to twist its neck at Mr. Fischer, cursing at him clearly.

"Mr. Fischer! I’m here to save you..."

But behind him, Prince Luosang, who was swinging his Lion Fist, was already approaching. It seemed Mr. Fischer had completely underestimated Luosang’s combat prowess. This prince, who had grown up alongside the Queen of Schwali, seemed not quite like his father, at least much better physically.

"Stay behind me."

Mr. Fischer whispered, and Moli panicked and huddled behind him, tightly clutching his clothes. It seemed she was clutching too tightly because she touched Mr. Fischer’s back and then moved her hand away in a panic, unsure of where to place it.

Why does Mr. Fischer feel so hot?

Moli secretly glanced at Mr. Fischer’s back but didn’t voice her thought. Lord Ramasitia, noticing her shy demeanor, made her ears vanish, then, with a sigh, transformed into a splash of water on her face, as if to say, "Wake up."

"Lord Ramasitia..."

Moli wiped her face, only to find she could no longer contact the Divine.

"The monsters outside have been dealt with... Are your students all right?"

"No... no problem!"

Moli hurriedly ran out from behind Mr. Fischer. It seemed Lord Ramasitia had something to remind her of, but given the urgency, she had ignored it and decided to inquire later.

Luosang was sweating all over, his lion-headed hands slightly open as if he was panting. Mr. Fischer put away his Fluid Sword and looked outside; by then, the corpses of the monsters had started to decompose into a stenchy pus, quickly disappearing.

Afterward, as if all the monsters had been killed, the building quieted down again, just like before.

Mr. Fischer, while walking towards the others, discussed with Luosang,

"It seems the monsters here are all killed, but I think they will appear again. They must not be dead yet, probably resurrecting somewhere and gathering again."

Luosang nodded and laughed,

"That’s right, I was thinking the same thing, and I guess the place where these monsters are resurrecting must be very near the Magic Array holding us here. Since you Nali people definitely conducted a strict site check, there aren’t many places where magic can be engraved, and it’s very likely they etched the magic in one place."

Arriving in the room, Mr. Fischer was pondering where they could have engraved the magic. Many young people inside looked quite desperate, squatting on the floor, unsure of what to do.

After Luosang returned, he slowly walked over to Carlo, and only then Mr. Fischer noticed that Carlo was wearing Prince Luosang’s clothes, probably because he got injured during the fight.

"Have those monsters all been killed? A monster’s head exploded next to me a moment ago; I thought I was swimming in the toilet... ugh..."

"When can we get out?"

"Damn it, these Nali people can’t even manage this small task, they don’t even know when the magic was set!"

Ken’s face showed embarrassment; he was older and had just survived a thrilling disaster, and now he was being mocked by a foreign guest. Although it was the New Party members who contracted this task, he was still a Nali person, and whether it’s the New Party or the Griffin Party, this incident was a loss of face for Saint Nali University and even for Nali.

But Prince Luosang didn’t regard those scholars, instead discussing with Mr. Fischer where that magic could most likely be engraved, with Roger and Selena sitting nearby.

They had just informed the two Magic Professors about the monster’s resurrection, meaning they had to find the source of that magic before the next wave of monsters arrived, otherwise they would have to resist those monsters again.

Roger massaged his shoulder and warned,

"We need to hurry, those monsters are stronger with each wave. The second time they almost broke my arm, if we delay further, we’ll get more and more exhausted..."

"Yes, the problem now is, where exactly is that magic engraved, which could sneak past the Nali New Party members’ search? They should have used magic instruments to scan every corner of this building to ensure no magic was present..."

Ken quickly spoke up,

"I assure you! The New Party’s people searched thoroughly many times; before we entered, every item, every wall was checked, and it’s simply impossible to engrave such Super Ring Magic during our meeting!"

Mr. Fischer stroked his chin, thoughts flowing in his mind, and then suddenly, his eyes lit up.

He seemed to know where the people of the Pink Hall had engraved the magic.
