Chapter 160 - 66. Earth Marrow_3

Chapter 160: 66. Earth Marrow_3

The stone seemed to be made of countless cubes assembled together, constantly twinkling with faint colorful lights, as if it was alive.

Fisher squatted in interest in front of the stall, looking at the stone.

Fisher recognized this item; it was a type of Magic Materials called Earth Marrow, but it wasn’t widely used in Magic Engraving. When placed in an Emblem, it could make the magic more active, but it was hard to find and there were many cheaper alternatives, so unless one was out of their mind, Mages generally didn’t use it.

However, the item was very attractive. In different places, there were Earth Marrows of various colors and shapes, including blue and red. The one before him was multicolored, something Fisher had never seen before.

Moli, standing next to him, also shifted her gaze to the colorful stone on the stall and asked,

"Professor Fisher, is this..."

"This is Earth Marrow, a good-looking but not very useful Magic Material, but it’s my first time seeing it in this color... How much is this?"

The Hunter glanced at Fisher and said,

"2000 Narliou."

"1000 Narliou, and throw in a bag... Where did you find this?"

The Hunter, glaring and puffing his beard, looked at the Nali Gentleman who just slashed the price in half, dressed in a suit as if he were one of those old ladies from Karen Street who haggled.

It was his first time seeing such a nitpicky Mage.

"1500 Narliou, can’t go lower than that. I found it while hunting in the mountains, they said no one has ever seen Earth Marrow of this color before."

"1350 Narliou, and include a bag."

Fisher had already taken out his wallet, calmly showing the Hunter the remaining amount inside, clearly indicating he didn’t have much money and would walk away if it wasn’t sold.

The Hunter was quite frustrated; the item was indeed hard to sell. It was somewhat superfluous for Mages and processing it as a decoration was too difficult because it was very hard. Normally, Mages would rub a Magic Blade against it laboriously just to gather a bit of powder.

"Fine... take it for 1350 Narliou, but I don’t have a bag left, figure it out yourself."

Fisher paid the money, silently picked up the item, and placed it on top of the bag full of Magic Materials that Moli was holding.

He intended to make a small decorative piece out of it, or at least it would look nice in the room.

Then, Fisher, carrying his Handcane, and Moli, who was holding loads of Magic Materials, returned to the entrance of the Magic Market, planning to take a carriage back to Saint Nali University.

On the way back, Moli looked at the scenery outside while feeling that she had learned a lot of interesting knowledge and secrets from Professor Fisher that day.

Moreover, she had also heard an amusing story about the "Parker Park Elf."

Fisher was resting with his eyes closed, Moli leaned against the carriage window smiling goofily, but then, while smiling, she suddenly remembered that Fragrance Soul mentioned something about a Sea Floor race delivering some items to her, and she hadn’t contacted Fragrance Soul at all lately.

Could it be that the Ocean Subhumans from Coco River were looking for her?!

Moli suddenly realized something, subconsciously wanting to retreat back into the carriage, but as she looked up forgetting her head was sticking out of the window, she bumped into the window frame above.

"Bang!"

"Ouch..."

She woefully held her head as she returned to her seat, just in time to see Fisher, awakened by the noise, open his eyes.

So, she awkwardly blushed, looking embarrassed.

"Are you okay?"

"No, no problem!"

Luckily, Fisher, as always, didn’t say anything that would make her feel embarrassed.

Moli shook her head and sat back down. Fisher saw she was alright and smiled, then once again closed his eyes to rest.

So he didn’t notice Moli sneak a quick glance at him, she then quickly withdrew her gaze and pursed her lips.

The atmosphere in the carriage quieted down, yet it felt as heated as any other place in Saint Nali.

At least much hotter than in the deep sea.

Moli thought to herself.
