Demi-human Girls Completion Manual
Chapter 103 - 27. Bad Man

Chapter 103: 27. Bad Man

Fisher leaped from the pipe above, seemingly pondering something. The regeneration speed of that woman just now had been beyond his expectation, and with her limb-rejoining ability akin to reversing time, Fisher felt it was very close to the "Undead Witch" predicted in the prophecies.

It seemed he had to find her to learn more... Pink Hall.

Having already obtained the hiding place of the Undead Witch, the witch named Bart had outlived his usefulness. He must be a witch manually created by the Witch Research Association, but Fisher was still unclear how they had managed it. Could they already possess advanced techniques for manipulating souls?

It seemed he must find some time later to read the "Soul Completion Manual" to gain more knowledge about souls.

As Fisher was contemplating, a few pirates ahead suddenly screamed,

"It’s alive, it’s alive! Wait, it’s not alive, not alive! What the hell is going on?"

"Hmm?"

Fisher walked forward with a puzzled look, only to see the Bart Witch, whose head had exploded, collapsed on the ground. The bloody, partially head continued to stretch out visibly fleshy sprouts, similar to the Undead Witch he had just seen, but neither the speed nor the degree of recovery was close to the original.

In a matter of seconds, the fleshy sprouts struggled to grow forward some more before completely losing vitality and collapsing on the ground. Subsequently, his obese body suddenly emitted a foul stench. Fisher frowned, then suddenly shouted to the pirates nearby,

"Get back!"

"Bang!"

He urged the pirates to retreat quickly, and as they did so, the exceedingly fat body of the witch began to undulate up and down, like a balloon inflating. When his belly expanded to its maximum, a loud noise came from within, bursting outward.

Even though Fisher and his group had retreated far away, they could still smell a severe stench lingering. Vaguely, in the dense blood mist, Fisher saw a small chunk of flesh flailing about, but just like its irrecoverable head, the fleshy sprouts struggled for a long time only to eventually turn into a puddle of blood water.

At that point, the Bart Witch from the Witch Research Association had completely turned into an amorphous mess. Fisher had thought about taking him back to Nali police, though he wondered if they could identify this unrecognizable mess as the Witch Research Association’s Bart.

Fisher didn’t care about police matters; he pulled out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and dispersed some of the surrounding stench before turning to look at Alagina and the others behind him,

"You haven’t left Saint Nali yet? If you linger here, I can’t guarantee what Nali will do to you when Schwali’s diplomatic corps arrives."

At first, Alagina thought Fisher had approached her for personal reasons, like asking her to consider accepting certain things below...

Apparently, he was only investigating the witch from before and had just happened to encounter her here.

Alagina felt a bit disappointed, yet her tone remained calm,

"My crew is responsible for the final supply purchase for the ship, and due to the killing of the information broker earlier, we stayed a bit longer. The matter has now been sorted out, and we will depart tomorrow..."

Alagina turned to look behind her, only to find her crew standing far away, whistling and pointing at the dark pipes above, as if they were from Nali’s engineering department planning future sewage pipe layouts.

Alagina opened her mouth, feeling somewhat ashamed of their obvious behavior, but seeing Fisher simply tasting his cigarette without a strange look, she relaxed.

"The port should already be closed to you by now. How are you moving those supplies?"

Alagina turned back to glance at the distant, surging underground river and said,

"Saint Nali has people who provide such services, right up ahead in the depths of the dark river. This was information from our previous employer during a mission."

Employer? Could it be the person who sent them on a mission to South Continent?

Fisher didn’t inquire further. Seeing that his cigarette had reached its end, he pinched it out and waved farewell to Alagina,

"I’ve got other things to take care of. Take care of yourselves, and thanks for your help earlier. If there’s anything I can assist with in the future, feel free to reach out. I’ll help as best as I can."

Alagina watched Fisher turn away and leave. After a second of hesitation, she suddenly called out to him,

"...I have something now that I’d like to ask for your help with."

"Hmm? What is it?"

Fisher turned his head, puzzled, looking at the captain. Her expression was still calm, but her deep blue eyes were exceptionally serious. She reached into her chest with a gloved hand and pulled out a necklace embedded with a blue crystal stone.

"I’d like to make a promise with you, to give me a chance to pursue you," Alagina said, extending her hand holding the necklace towards Fisher very seriously, "Once I’m settled and there are no other dangers, I will come back to find you and fulfill my promise. Wherever you are, I’ll go there, and I will never break my word..."

"I offer this necklace as a token...but it’s not coercion. If you wait too long or decide to refuse at any point, then my pursuit has failed, and you can just throw away this necklace. If that happens, father won’t be angry either because at least I sincerely took initiative for you. And..."

Towards the end, her usually cold and fair face softly blushed a cherry color, and even her last few words were much quieter as Alagina whispered to Fisher,

"I...can also be below..."

Fisher was taken aback for a second, momentarily unsure of what to say. The more he remained silent, the more nervous and embarrassed Alagina became, her cheeks tinted pink, lowered slightly, fearing that Fisher might say something cold and frightening.

Seeing that the atmosphere was about to become completely awkward, the gentleman in front sighed, took the initiative, reached out, and caught the necklace in her hand, and tucked the token-like necklace into his chest,

"...I understand. I will temporarily keep this necklace safe for you. Until our promise is fulfilled, it will remain safe with me."

Watching Fisher carefully put the necklace into his chest, Alagina’s face brightened significantly, and her lips curved into an extraordinarily rare smile, as beautiful and touching as ice melting in the early sun.

Fisher gave a slight smile, bade goodbye to Alagina and then, wielding the Handcane, he walked towards the bright Saint Nali outside of the tunnel, leaving Alagina behind watching him getting further away.

Standing still, she felt her heartbeat quicken, more forceful than she had ever felt in many years.

But she didn’t dislike it, rather she felt joy.

She covered her chest, her lips slightly pursed, not following the gentleman’s footsteps, not clearly seeing his countenance.

Just far behind them, a few pirates squatting on the ground, munching on peanuts and squinting at the picturesque scene of departure, were left speechless for a long time; it felt as though they were witnessing the most captivating drama in Saint Nali, making them eager to see the next scene.

Unfortunately, the handsome gentleman had already left.

"Oh, he is quite handsome...don’t look at me like that, I’m not the type to steal others’ lovers. I’m just saying, physically, he’s not my type."

"The captain is too naive, to be so shy; you would never tell during a fight."

"If you ask me, just tie that fine man to the ship; even if he doesn’t consent at first, having kids will put him right under the captain’s control."

"Pah! You rogue, what do you know. The pursuit process might be tough, but once you achieve the outcome, it’s the sweetest thing in this world."

The crew member who mentioned the captain’s naivety wrinkled her face, glancing at her companion and the chubby chief officer beside her, speculated somewhat hesitantly,

"The captain seemed too tender in front of that gentleman. The captain is only 24, if she meets an older man...oh, I mean, if she meets a bad man, how can her little romantic experience compete?"

Seeing her companion also stunned beside her, she frantically waved her hand and added,

"I’m worried about the captain, afraid she might be deceived; my goodness, that’s far more heartbreaking than being robbed of treasure!"

"Don’t you curse the captain!"

"Exactly!"

The crew member, being scolded by her companions, pursed her lips, and seeing Alagina look back and walk this way, she had to suppress her somewhat ’impractical’ speculation about Fisher.

There are so many bad men, the one the captain meets definitely won’t be one!

That’s what she thought.
