Chapter 955: Chapter 458: Gu Qingxiang, Have You Missed Me? _2
Zhu Mingyu, envious, took out her phone and pleaded softly, "Sister Ye, can I take a photo?"
Once back, she would post it on Xiao Hongshu—luxurious women start with luxurious friend circles!
Upon hearing the price, Lü Liting couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise, "That expensive?"
However, she didn’t doubt Zhu Mingyu was bluffing, since the young girl was always checking out cosmetics, added over a dozen resellers on her phone, and even watched Li Jiaqi’s live streams daily.
Fighting for penny-priced masks in the live room was her favorite.
"WHOO’s high-end series, of course, it’s expensive!"
Zhu Mingyu gazed longingly at the bag, admiring how exquisitely the box was made; she was so envious that she almost withered.
"That Mr. Lin is so generous!"
Zhu Mingyu felt regretful, wishing it was she who had served Lin Baici’s first visit, and hoped that next time Mr. Lin came, Zhang Ye would take a leave!
"Be careful of his ill intentions!"
Lü Liting cautioned.
Zhang Ye chuckled, thinking to herself she wished he would try something with her; if Zhang Ye resisted even a bit, she’d write her name upside down.
"Don’t be careless, if Miss Jin finds out, losing your job will be the least of your worries, and watch out for your face!"
Lü Liting thought Zhang Ye was doomed. "Look at the news; those Goryeo tycoons are no good, how many female celebrities they’ve driven to suicide."
"I haven’t done anything!"
Zhang Ye understood Lü Liting’s meaning; Lin Baici was Kim Myungjin’s lapdog, spending Kim Myungjin’s money, unlike those big bosses who were their own masters.
"Lü Jie, you think too little of people, what if he earned that money himself?"
Zhu Mingyu retorted, "I don’t think Mr. Lin looks like the kind to be kept by a woman!"
The three murmured among themselves, and soon saw Lin BaicI changing into sportswear and coming down with a rolling suitcase.
Zhang Ye immediately came over to help.
"No need!"
Lin Baici headed to the parking lot to drive the Mercedes AMG E63S that Kim Myungjin had given him, to Gu Qingxiang’s place.
He decided to try driving himself; he couldn’t keep calling taxis everywhere.
Watching the sports car drive away, Zhang Ye drifted off.
Zhang Ye, oh Zhang Ye, occasionally it’s good to lapse a bit; the most important thing in life is to be happy!
...
Haijing lived up to its name as a major metropolis: roads were wide and cars many, making it impossible to speed, but fortunately, Lin Baici was patient and it being his first time driving this car, he prioritized stability.
By four in the afternoon, Lin Baici arrived at the neighborhood where Gu Qingxiang rented.
The car was too conspicuous, so Lin Baici didn’t drive into the neighborhood, instead he parked on an unobtrusive curb, grabbed his suitcase and ran the rest of the way.
Into the neighborhood, up the stairs, to the door.
Thud, thud, thud!
For some reason, once inside the neighborhood, Lin Baici felt an urge to see his counselor immediately, his mind filled with images of her.
But no one answered the door!
Damn!
Not at home?
Lin Baici felt annoyed and frustrated, wondering if he should just return to the dorm?
But what for?
Lin Baici leaned against the wall, sat on his suitcase, and took out his phone, initially intending to call Gu Qingxiang but restrained himself.
What if the counselor had a boyfriend now? Wouldn’t his call startle the snake, missing out on clues?
No,
what am I imagining?
College students are dating; it’s fine for Gu Qingxiang, an adult, to have a romantic relationship!
Though that was logical, Lin Baici felt incredibly annoyed just thinking about that possibility. Due to Kim Myungjin’s matter, he felt he should give up on the counselor, but standing in front of her door, his mind was filled with Gu Qingxiang, his possessive desire overwhelming.
So annoying!
Lin Baici ruffled his hair.
"Baici?"
The sudden voice startled Lin Baici, and he immediately stood up.
At the bottom of the stairs, wearing a cotton long dress and a black turtleneck sweater, Gu Qingxiang stood there with her waist-length black hair tied into a ponytail that fell on her chest.
"You’re back?"
Gu Qingxiang raised her right hand and pushed up the black framed glasses that had slipped down her nose.
"Yeah!"
Lin Baici leapt down the stairs in two to three steps, got in front of Gu Qingxiang, and couldn’t resist, he hugged her tightly.
"Long time no see!"
Lin Baici felt Gu Qingxiang’s body: "Did you miss me?"
Gu Qingxiang struggled a couple of times, then gave up, and soon Lin Baici heard a faint nasal sound: "Yeah!"
Having heard the sound, Lin Baici lowered his head and kissed Gu Qingxiang on her red lips.
Sweet and tender, soft and smooth!
Gu Qingxiang found it hard to breathe, poking Lin Baici in the ribs with her finger.
Lin Baici released Gu Qingxiang, still seeming to want more, holding her shoulders and observing her skin tone, "You’ve lost weight, and these eyes, why haven’t you changed them?"
Gu Qingxiang had an oval face, cherry lips, almond-like eyes—quite attractive, but all hidden under a rustic style and glasses.
"I haven’t lost weight, I did eat meat!"
Gu Qingxiang pushed up her glasses, "A friend gave them to me. I don’t want to replace them!"
Lin Baici thought to himself that only he knew about Gu Qingxiang’s beauty, which was fine, as it saved him from competition.
"Then just keep wearing them!"
Lin Baici extended his hand to take the vegetables from Gu Qingxiang’s hands.
Gu Qingxiang did not let go, "I’ll go buy some more vegetables!"
Lin Baici came back to add a meal.
"No need, just eat whatever!"
Lin Baici wanted to spend some alone time with Gu Qingxiang, "Let’s go, into the house!"
Unlocking the door and entering, Gu Qingxiang took a pair of men’s slippers, bent down, and placed them in front of Lin Baici, "How was your trip to Goryeo?"
"Pretty good!"
As soon as they mentioned this, Lin Baici panicked. Could he really be a good husband for Gu Qingxiang? If he were to die in God’s ruins one day, she would probably know nothing and foolishly wait for him to return home.
[Seize the day, live one day at a time!]
[Better to blaze gloriously for a few seconds than to live a dull lifetime without a spark!]
[Devour her!]
[Only then will you know what delicious really means!]
"I didn’t expect you, Eater God, to be a philosopher too!"
Lin Baici teased.
Gu Qingxiang poured Lin Baici a cup of tea before heading to the kitchen, choosing the tastiest big apple and an orange, washed them, peeled them, cut them into pieces, arranged them on a fruit plate, and brought it to Lin Baici with toothpicks.
"You eat first, I’m going to cook!"
Gu Qingxiang went to the kitchen.
Lin Baici took a slice of apple and followed her, leaning against the doorframe, watching Gu Qingxiang sort and wash vegetables.
Eater God wasn’t wrong in his assessment, Gu Qingxiang had a stunning figure; even in a cotton dress, the curves of her buttocks when she bent over were remarkable.
"Gu Qingxiang, do you do yoga?"
Lin Baici imagined her in yoga pants.
"I’d rather read a few books if I had that time!"
Gu Qingxiang was not interested in maintaining a good figure.
"What did you do over winter break?"
Lin Baici was curious, "Reading?"
Shopping for groceries, cooking, mastering culinary skills that could fatten Lin Baici, but Gu Qingxiang was too embarassed to mention it.
"Reading!"
"Cooking?"
Lin Baici saw that early on, not only on the couch but also in the kitchen, books related to cooking were scattered, "Are you planning to master all eight major Chinese cuisines?"
The water rushed out of the faucet, gushing loudly.
Gu Qingxiang didn’t answer, but it was clear she had that idea.
Lin Baici wanted to help, but Gu Qingxiang refused.
"You must be tired from the journey, go rest!"
An hour later, six dishes were served on the table.
Lion’s Head Meatballs, steamed pork ribs with rice flour, pan-fried Spanish mackerel...
"Gu Qingxiang, your cooking skills are impressive!"
Lin Baici took a deep inhale,
Delicious!
"Then why won’t you call me ’instructor’?"
Gu Qingxiang rolled her eyes, and served Lin Baici a full bowl of rice.
"Alright, alright, I’m not a pig!"
Lin Baici had to be honest, he wasn’t very interested in human food these days, since the nutrition it offered was hardly sufficient for him.
"Oh!"
Gu Qingxiang responded, using a spatula to scoop rice back out of the bowl, a faint look of disappointment crossing her face.
After practicing her cooking skills over winter break, she had hoped to see Lin Baici eat more.
"Damn!"
Seeing her demeanor, Lin Baici realized he’d said the wrong thing and immediately jumped over to the rice cooker, taking the spatula from Gu Qingxiang’s hand.
"Are you feeding cats? This little bit of rice isn’t enough for me!"
Lin Baici gathered his strength, scooped a spoonful of rice, and piled it into his bowl until it formed a small mound.
Stomach Grandpa, work hard on digesting this!
Gu Qingxiang smiled sweetly, "No worries, if it’s not enough, I’ll steam some more!"
