Chapter 784: Chapter 386: Scared? I’m Not Scared Enough of You to Fight!_1
The hostess was not tall but pretty, with a nice figure.
Quan Sangin whistled. If it weren’t for Lin Baici by his side, he would have taken the opportunity to show off before catching Vegetable Thief.
"Is Brother Song here?"
Little Eyes sniffed, "I’m his brother!"
Lin Baici’s eyebrows rose. He keenly sensed that after Little Eyes entered the club, much of the fear on his face had dissipated.
"Manager Song is drinking with friends!"
The hostess greeted them with a smile. Song Daogui was the manager of the club, responsible for security and customer attraction. He was the kind of man who held a lot of power.
"Take us there!"
Little Eyes urged.
He didn’t look back because he didn’t want them to see the ’can’t hold back the smile’ expression on his face, which would let them realize that this was a trap.
"This way, please!"
The hostess led the way, meanwhile notifying Manager Song through the walkie-talkie.
Lin Baici and the other four followed her, taking the elevator up.
"These people are completely off guard?"
Standing inside the elevator car, Little Eyes glanced at the camera in the upper left corner, feeling this was a sure bet.
Ding!
The elevator reached the fifth floor.
Because the hostess was wearing a mini skirt, which started rolling up due to her stride, even her pantyhose-covered buttocks were about to be exposed.
"Manager Song is inside!"
After the hostess spoke, she pressed the doorbell twice.
"Come in!"
A robust voice rang out.
"Brother!"
Little Eyes pushed the door open eagerly.
As Lin Baici was about to enter, Kim Jinsoo grabbed his arm, a look of concern on his face, "God Lin, something isn’t right!"
"Ha!"
Lin Baici laughed and shook off Kim Jinsoo’s hand.
"What if it’s off?"
Quan Sangin rolled his eyes. "I wish they were all Vegetable Thieves. Do you think God Lin is afraid?"
Kim Jinsoo thought so too and slapped his own cheek lightly.
Kim Myungjin followed Lin Baici into the VIP room like a female bodyguard.
This entire floor was filled with VIP rooms, quite spacious with carpets covering not just the rooms but also the corridors, making it comfortable to walk on.
As soon as Kim Myungjin entered, she smelled a strong scent of alcohol and cigarette smoke. She quickly scanned the room, counting five men and nine women.
Some were playing finger-guessing games, tossing dice, some were singing karaoke with strained voices, all exhibiting a dissolute demeanor.
"Brother!"
Little Eyes, the penultimate to enter, clicked the lock shut, then rushed to a muscular man.
"What’s up?"
Song Daogui was sitting on the couch, with scantily-clad women on either side. His face was flushed with play and his clothes were disheveled.
"Damn!"
Lin Baici noticed the blonde woman on the left, her skirt rolled up to her waist, revealing her black garter stockings.
The woman, noticing Lin Baici’s gaze, not only didn’t show any bashfulness but even threw a seductive wink his way.
"Brother!"
Little Eyes moved close to Song Daogui’s ear, and while staring at Lin Baici, he jeeringly reported, "These four are Vegetable Thieves. I tricked them into coming here."
The words ’Vegetable Thief’ instantly turned Song Daogui’s expression icy cold, like a ferocious beast ready to devour prey.
"Brother, look at this lad, quite handsome, right?"
Little Eyes boasted, "And this skin, so tight, so smooth, with absolutely no scars from acne!"
"Not bad!"
Song Daogui stared greedily, swallowing a gulp of saliva.
"Brother, after you skin him, can you give it to me?"
Little Eyes looked hopeful.
He had wanted to change his face for a while but was strapped for cash lately.
"Giving it to you would be a waste!"
Song Daogui took a big gulp of beer from the table, "And such a premium skin, even if I gave it to you, would you dare to wear it?"
"Why wouldn’t I dare?"
Little Eyes challenged back.
"You all go out!"
Song Daogui slapped the thigh of the woman beside him fiercely.
Slap!
The flesh quivered.
The women all left the room, leaving only five men behind.
Song Daogui looked at Lin Baici as if he were examining a fish at a pet market, "People like him are real life phoenixes; they won’t be buried wherever they go!"
"Our top priority as Clay Humans is to avoid attracting human attention and live a stable life. If you wear his face, are you asking for the Vegetable Thieves to come finding you?"
Song Daogui mocked.
To put it bluntly, Lin Baici’s appearance was too striking, and those eyeing him would certainly not be few.
"Better give it to the boss!"
Song Daogui himself didn’t dare to take it.
Little Eyes was not too pleased but had no say in the matter, so he simply endured, "What about the woman? You can give her to me, right?"
"After we’ve had our fun with her, you can have a taste of the leftovers!"
Song Daogui laughed out loud, noticing that these few people were still calm without any signs of running away; he couldn’t help but admire, "You guys have some guts!"
Lin Baici scanned the group, "Are all five of you Clay Humans?"
Song Daogui took a swig of beer, "Haha, scared?"
"I’m afraid you’re not enough for me to fight!"
Lin Baici smirked.
"God Lin, let me handle this!"
Quan Sangin rolled up his sleeves, feeling that he alone was enough to settle this minor trouble.
"No rush!"
Lin Baici curiously asked, "Is this your Vegetable Thieves’ lair?"
"What do you think?"
Song Daogui remained calmly seated, fishing, because once someone entered, they shouldn’t think about leaving alive.
"I’m in a hurry. Call all your Vegetable Thieves over!"
Lin Baici took a few steps forward, sat down on a sofa, and seeing there were plenty of beers on the table, he grabbed a bottle and forcefully knocked it against the edge of the table.
Pop!
The cap came off, and a burst of white froth bubbled up.
Lin Baici gulped down two mouthfuls with gurgling sounds.
"Arrogance!"
Song Daogui was infuriated by Lin Baici’s actions, his cheeks tensed, lungs expanded, ready to exhale a cluster of spore mist.
This was the innate ability of the Vegetable Thieves. When those spores touched human skin, they would quickly parasitize, causing unbearable itchiness, making one wish to tear off their own skin, and even lead to bodily weakness and dizziness.
However, before Song Daogui could exhale the spore mist, a walnut-sized Flying Stone rapidly shot his way.
Song Daogui was quick to react and tried to dodge, but he was still not fast enough to avoid the Flying Stone.
Bang!
The Flying Stone hit Song Daogui’s mouth right on, smashing half of his teeth, preventing him from emitting the spore mist.
Whiz whiz whiz!
The Clay Humans hidden in the shadows, their slings snapping, began pelting stones continuously.
Lin Baici had hunted Vegetable Thieves before and had seen them spewing mist, so he was on guard against this move. When he entered the private room, using the moment Song Daogui’s attention was drawn away by Little Eyes calling him "Brother," he summoned the Little Clay Man.
"Take them down!"
Song Daogui shouted, but speaking with missing teeth resulted in whistling sounds due to the gaps.
The four men tried to charge over, but as they were about to step forward, a Flying Stone hit them smack in the mouth, bringing tears to their eyes.
"You’re dead meat!"
Little Eyes glared at Lin Baici with a vicious smile, and just after speaking, he noticed the already dim light in the private room grew even darker.
A massive shadow, like the coming of nightfall, descended.
Little Eyes turned his head, and then his jaw dropped.
A colossal, burly Buddha statue that nearly reached the ceiling popped up behind the sofa. Its muscles were so strong, its arms so thick, it felt capable of crushing someone to death as easily as if strangling a young chicken.
Whoosh!
The large hand of the Buddha statue fanned over, sending the beer bottles on the table flying.
Bang!
Song Daogui was struck and flew out like he had been hit by a speeding dump truck, landing with a thud, his head buried in the ground.
Little Eyes tried to flee in panic, seeking to distance himself from the Muscle Buddha, but with a stretch of a big hand, like pulling up a radish, the Buddha grabbed his head and smashed it towards the other Vegetable Thieves.
Bang!
A group of people tossed into disarray!
Lin Baici sat on the sofa with an air of authority, taking a sip of beer.
"God Lin, you rest, we’ll handle this!"
Quan Sangin and Kim Jinsoo charged ahead.
Kim Myungjin didn’t want to always be just a sidekick, so she pulled out a hooked saber from her backpack and pounced on a man, slashing away.
"Xiba, we need some alive!"
Quan Sangin was startled.
Of course, Kim Myungjin knew this, and just as her blade was about to hit the man, she flipped the blade and used the flat side to smack the Vegetable Thief’s face.
Smack!
The Vegetable Thief was nearly knocked senseless.
"Damn you, humans!"
The Vegetable Thief roared in anger, throwing a punch at Kim Myungjin’s nose.
The Goryeo girl didn’t dodge, willing to take a blow in order to capture this Vegetable Thief, but then a bottle flew over.
Bang!
It hit the Vegetable Thief’s left eye.
Kim Myungjin turned around.
Lin Baici was sitting on the sofa, having taken another bottle of beer and cracked it against the marble edge of the table.
Pop!
The cap came off.
"Watch out!"
Lin Baici finished speaking and took another sip of beer.
Being the leader is great! For a minor scene like this, leaving it to the underlings is just fine! If the underlings are as attractive as Kim Myungjin, it’s quite a pleasure to watch.
The Goryeo girl’s thigh muscles frequently tensed during the fight, and wrapped in yoga pants, they looked both toned and sexy.
Lin Baici tucked the kasaya that had slipped out from his waistband back in.
With Muscle Buddha and the Clay Humans around, the battle was a foregone conclusion; one wielded immense pressure, the other constantly sniped and harassed, specifically targeting legs.
Two minutes, and the fight was over.
Little Eyes was dumbfounded. What just happened? How could it be that right after I trash-talked, Brother was overthrown?
Is this the same Song Daogui who could throw punches across three thousand leagues of Hancheng and kick across the fourteen provinces of Busan?
Little Eyes looked at Lin Baici, trembling uncontrollably, his hands and feet shaking like chaff in the wind.
"What did you just say?"
Lin Baici asked with a smile, "You wanted my skin?"
"I... I..."
Little Eyes tried to explain, but his mouth began to quiver, and he was stuttering.
Frightened!
"Is this your Vegetable Thieves’ lair?"
Lin Baici leaned back, resting his arms on the sofa: "Call them all over, why don’t we? Let’s throw a party, make it lively!"
"Oh, and those girls from before? Call them back too!"
Lin Baici smiled slightly, taking a sip of this beer.
Little Eyes was frantic with fear. He thought by bringing these people to the Mermaid Club, they would be helpless on a chopping board, to be manipulated as they pleased. But now, it seemed he had let the wolf into the den.
Looking at the miserable state of Song Daogui and his men, he worried that all the club’s Vegetable Thieves would be beaten half-dead and captured by this guy.
Little Eyes, as he watched the Nine States man calmly drink his beer on the sofa, suddenly felt he had done something incredibly foolish.
