Chapter 253: Chapter 131 Mad Critic Maid_1
The bar was noisy and boisterous, and the twenty or so patrons were not scared but rather interested in watching the commotion, treating it as if they were watching a circus.
The dwarf magician and the bartender saw Muscle Buddha pummeling the one-armed Zhuang Du and chose not to intervene, mostly for fear of getting caught in the crossfire.
After all, this Muscle Buddha didn’t look like an easy target.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Each punch from Muscle Buddha exploded with a thunderous sound, as if he was emitting sound waves.
Whoosh!
Zhuang Du’s shirt suddenly burst open, and six metallic tentacles, reminiscent of octopus arms, sprang out – half of them blocking, and half attacking Muscle Buddha.
"Black Shark Triton and Octopus Balls, did you kill them?"
As he now had six metallic tentacles, Zhuang Du, despite having lost an arm, could still manage with ease, but he was infuriated.
He hadn’t expected that his opponent, clearly a rookie God Hunter for less than two months, possessed so many exquisite taboo things.
Just the Buddha statue before him, wearing only shorts, was already generating immense pressure, let alone that flying sword.
"Are you a member of the Lost Coast?"
Upon hearing these two words, Lin Baici instantly understood that the other party was here for revenge, given that there had been quite a few survivors on the high-speed train that day.
They might not believe that he had killed Black Shark Triton, but since he was also a God Hunter, it was plausible for them to come and interrogate him for information, or simply kill him off-hand.
"Well, well, it’s no wonder you dare to start trouble in Dragon and Beauty Bar, so you’re from the dreaded Lost Coast gang!"
"Give it a rest. This kid is probably a new member who doesn’t know the reputation of the bar. Even the leader of Lost Coast wouldn’t dare to cause trouble here!"
"Madam, someone’s wrecking the place."
The patrons, upon learning of Zhuang Du’s origin, were no longer surprised.
Some people, after gaining strength, start to think they are heaven and the law themselves, becoming wilful and acting merely on likes and dislikes.
The law and morality are no longer able to constrain them.
The members of the Lost Coast are all such characters, so even within the God Hunter Circle, they have a bad reputation.
"Where are your companions?"
Lin Baici looked around.
The bartender glanced at Lin Baici, recognizing his cleverness.
If he asked you straight if you had companions, you’d say no even if you did; but by asking this way, he was implying that you did have companions, in order to trip you up.
And sure enough, Zhuang Du took the bait.
"Of course, they’re lying in ambush, ready to kill you!"
The six mechanical tentacles Zhuang Du gained were indeed useful, momentarily halting Muscle Buddha’s onslaught.
Lin Baici played with the Dream Top, pondering whether to use it to interrogate for information.
"Little Linzi!"
Xia Hongyao hurried down, and upon seeing Muscle Buddha fighting a young man, she didn’t hesitate, drawing her dagger and joining the fray.
"Stop, all of you!"
The proprietress scolded as she walked briskly in, her red high heels clicking densely on the floor, a sound of ’da da da’ echoing.
The bartender immediately ran over to report the incident to the proprietress.
"How dare you! Even if Black Sea God, your gang leader, personally came, he wouldn’t dare to run wild in my bar!"
The proprietress stared down Zhuang Du: "Stop immediately, or don’t blame me for being rude!"
Lin Baici curled the corner of his mouth upon hearing this.
What’s up with this?
You mean to say, as long as this guy disarms, you seem to be considering sparing his life?
Lin Baici didn’t want to argue about such nonsense later on, so no prisoners, just straight to killing.
Let’s go!
Lin Baici threw out his flying sword.
I don’t care who’s speaking here, since you’ve provoked me, you’ve got to die!
Whiz!
The Dragon Tooth flew forth, accompanied by a trace of bronze light, striking directly at Zhuang Du.
The proprietress caught sight of the scene and glanced at Lin Baici.
This sword was quite formidable, but more fierce was this young man, who remembered grievances and had a tough character.
Xia Hongyao joining the fray made it even harder for Zhuang Du, who was already down an arm, to cope. Upon seeing the flying sword heading his way, he exerted all his strength to dodge the strike. He hadn’t even the chance to feel relieved when he heard the sound of something cutting through the air next to his ear.
The next instant!
Bang!
A Flying Stone struck, smashing half of Zhuang Du’s head to pieces.
Blood and brain matter splattered everywhere, across the tables, the floor, painting everything a shocking red.
Bang!
Zhuang Du’s corpse fell to the ground.
"Holy shit, what just happened?"
"Was that Divine Grace?"
"Not sure."
"It seems like this kid did it, damn, that’s some serious fighting strength!"
The patrons in here had seen hundreds of deaths, so seeing Zhuang Du get his head blown off was no more disturbing to them than seeing an ant crushed—a minor ripple in their emotions. What surprised them was Lin Baici’s combat prowess.
Even if this young man was a fringe figure in Lost Coast, he was still a member. Yet, his ambush on this young man was not only uncovered but cost him his life.
"Handsome, what’s your name?"
The transgender person’s voice was sweet, giving Lin Baici a suggestive look.
"Madam, sorry for the mess, it’ll need a clean-up!"
Lin Baici ignored him, not forgetting the Eater God’s evaluation: any engagement with this person would lead to infection, and over time, result in a gender change.
"You won’t even call me Aunt Shu!"
Nangong Shu gave Lin Baici a loaded look, full of allure.
"Heh heh!"
Lin Baici chuckled. He was now confident enough to retaliate if accused: "Red Medicine, go check the body, see if there’s any valuable spoils!"
"Okay!"
Xia Hongyao took out her phone: "I’ll call the station, have them collect the body!"
"No need, I will arrange someone to take care of it, as it happened in my bar after all!"
Nangong Shu waved her hand, instructing the waitress to clean up the body, then apologized to the crowd of onlookers: "Sorry for the shock, folks, all of your expenses in my establishment today are on the house!"
