Chapter 1273: Chapter 571: Kowtowing to Hungry Brother!_2

One Shot Headshot strolled along the creek, making his way uphill.

These Fishmen were quite fragile, taking five arrows to fell one, but there was a problem — as their health dropped, they would flee and call for backup.

Now that was a headache!

Even if One Shot Headshot managed to promptly kill the escaping Fishman, its cries would still attract at least six or seven more, forcing him to give up on farming here.

After finding Little Arnold and accepting the quest to find a fishing rod, One Shot Headshot began his ascent.

To save time, he only targeted solitary Fishmen, hence he covered a substantial distance.

Suddenly, the strange, blathering cries of Fishmen carried over.

"Who’s the unlucky sod who agitated the Fishmen?"

One Shot Headshot gleefully anticipated the commotion; such loud cries surely meant a significant number had been lured.

He quickened his pace towards the source of the excitement, only to find a large group of Fishmen crowded at the base of a waterfall.

"What the hell?"

One Shot Headshot was bewildered.

Gradually, those Fishmen streamed into a crevice beneath the waterfall until the last one entered. About three minutes later, a large Fishman emerged.

"Holy shit!"

Startled, One Shot Headshot quickly dropped to the ground.

"A player?"

One Shot Headshot took a closer look. It appeared to be a warrior, clad in a shiny green Fish Scale Armor and a covering helmet that initially prevented immediate recognition.

The player charged into the Fishman Tribe, starting to pull mobs.

It was unclear how many times he had done this, but his mob pulling route and technique were exceedingly skilled.

"Damn, he’s lured forty already, and he’s still going?"

One Shot Headshot watched as the warrior drew the aggro of nearly half the Fishman Tribe before running towards that crevice beneath the waterfall.

Whiz! Whiz! Whiz!

Five Fishman Shamans launched water bolts, chipping away some health, but the warrior seemed unfazed, gulping down a Blood Bottle before charging into the crevice.

The Fishmen squeezed in after him.

"Wow, badass!"

One Shot Headshot exclaimed.

The Fishmen might seem numerous and intimidating, but in reality, they were no different than fish on a chopping board, likely to be slaughtered by that warrior in no time.

And then he felt envious.

How much experience and loot would that be?

One Shot Headshot’s eyes grew red with envy.

If a warrior could use such tactics, there was no reason he, a Hunter, couldn’t do the same, right?

After several hours in the game, One Shot Headshot had learned that a Beastmaster Hunter with a pet was unrivaled in solo play.

Right, that warrior must be Lin Da Hungry Man, right?

So he was grinding mobs here!

One Shot Headshot remembered the warrior from the level leaderboards; with that grinding speed, even a mighty mage would have to bow down.

After Lin Baici finished his mob grind and emerged, just as he was ready to continue, another Hunter approached.

"Buddy, can you let me have a turn at grinding?"

One Shot Headshot proposed.

Lin Baici glanced over.

[Level 13 Hunter, not bad at all.]

"I mean no harm. Otherwise, I could have attacked and killed you while you were drawing all those mobs!"

One Shot Headshot smiled.

That was the truth; if it were a normal game, he’d have killed him straight away, knowing that no matter how enraged the other player got, they couldn’t come through the internet cable to slash him.

But here, a player’s death was final.

One Shot Headshot didn’t want to engage in player killing (PK).

"Ha ha, do you know what level I am?"

Lin Baici laughed: "That’s quite confident of you!"

"I’m a Hunter, a ranged class. Even if you’re five levels above me, it’s no use; I can kite you to death, believe it?"

One Shot Headshot was confident.

"You can give it a try!"

Lin Baici made a showy gesture with his knife.

One Shot Headshot frowned, feeling slightly peeved by the other’s strong confidence, wanting to put this warrior in his place, but the full set of armor was daunting.

He must have farmed a whole set, right?

And considering how lavishly he drank that Blood Bottle just now, his inventory was probably stocked with many more; One Shot Headshot knew he couldn’t outlast such resources.

"Why aren’t you moving?"

Lin Baici took a couple of steps forward.

"Stop right there!"

One Shot Headshot shouted, raising his longbow, but then worried this gesture might provoke an attack, so he lowered it again, "Buddy, you’re Lin Da Hungry Man, right? You’ve already reached the top of the level leaderboards; can’t you let me have my moment of glory, give me some scraps to enjoy?"

"Why don’t you try it yourself?"

After several hours, Lin Baici was also tired of grinding.

One Shot Headshot prepared to take his turn, but after a few steps, he halted again: "You’re not going to attack me after I pull the mobs, are you?"

Lin Baici shook his head.

"Thanks!"

One Shot Headshot first peeked into the crevice, analyzing Lin Baici’s tactics, then started pulling mobs, cautiously not luring too many on his first try.

But the Fishmen’s cries for help didn’t care for his plans, promptly bringing seven of them over.

With his pet boar taking the brunt, One Shot Headshot shot arrows from behind. Since the boar couldn’t dodge or block, it took the full brunt of the Fishmen’s attacks.

Its health rapidly dwindled.

One Shot Headshot had no choice but to cease attack and heal his pet.

Whenever a Fishman’s health was nearly depleted, it attempted to flee but got blocked by others.

By the fourth kill, One Shot Headshot couldn’t keep up with the healing, and the boar died, causing the Fishmen to rush him.

As a Hunter, One Shot Headshot needed at least a three-meter distance to use his ranged weapons. Being too close rendered them useless, so he was forced to hack away with a knife.

After barely finishing off the mobs and replenishing his health with food, One Shot Headshot exited the crevice to find the warrior standing under a Fishman hut, opening a chest.
