Chapter 1211: Chapter 1215: Do You Have Any Evidence?
Lou Ning glared at An Zhenglin, his icy rebuke cutting through the air, “He had one face in front of others and another behind their backs, using my maternal grandparents and mother’s wealth to support a mistress and illegitimate children!”
“Shut up, shut up! You’re spouting nonsense, speaking without any proof, stop talking! Shut up!”
As Lou Ning told his story, An Zhenglin repeatedly tried to interrupt, but Lou Ning paid him no heed, his voice rising over An Zhenglin’s furious roars, pushing them down.
An Zhenglin wanted to rush forward and cover Lou Ning’s mouth, but the Gu Family’s bodyguards appeared out of nowhere, holding An Zhenglin back.
Those around them were whispering to each other, buzzing with gossip.
The An Family might not be as prosperous as the Lou Family in their heyday, but An Zhenglin was the boss of a decently-sized company, well-known among many of Zhou City’s business elites.
There were many he knew among those present tonight.
Watching those who had once held him in high regard now reveal looks of disdain and contempt, a buzzing sound rang in An Zhenglin’s ears, and the phrase “It’s over” kept flashing through his mind.
It’s over.
All over.
All that he had labored for over nearly twenty years, bending over backwards, enduring hardship and humiliation, it all seemed to be turning to smoke before his eyes.
It’s over.
He was finished!
Enraged, he glared at Lou Ning, struggling fiercely to shake off the Gu Family’s bodyguard, his face contorted in rage as he bellowed, “You beast! You violated your stepmother’s niece, and I caught you in the act. I warned you out of good intentions, but you never changed, so I had to kick you out of the house. And now you turn around and slander me—I… how could I have fathered a beast like you?”
“Ha!” Lou Ning scoffed with a cold laugh, “‘When you wish to condemn someone, you can always find a charge.’ You accuse me of assaulting Pang Xiangwen’s niece, and yet I say that you did it! Baseless claims. Do you have any proof?”
Without waiting for him to reply, Lou Ning said, “You don’t have proof! But I do, I have the paternity test reports of you and your son and daughter with Pang Xiangwen!”
A bodyguard from the Gu Family stepped forward, activated his phone, and projected the display onto the pristine white wall.
The paternity test reports, page after page, appeared before everyone’s eyes.
Every report bore the seal of an authoritative institution, each one clearly stating that An Zhenglin was the biological parent of An Ruru and An Qiuping!
Watching the scene unfold, An Zhenglin’s face turned deathly pale as he heard the surrounding guests whisper among themselves, accusing him of despicable, heartless actions.
Trembling from head to toe, he desperately tried to defend himself, “Fake! They’re all fake, forged by you!”
“Then how about we call the police?” Lou Ning raised an eyebrow, sneering at him, “Since you insist the reports are fake, why don’t you accuse me of defamation, and have the police arrest me?”
Carrying the weight of the death of Lou Ning’s mother, An Zhenglin was most fearful of the police. How could he dare call them?
With a trembling voice, he said, “You are my son, and I am your father. How could I possibly send my own son to the police station?”
“You could steal away all my shares and property, leaving me penniless and exiling me from Zhou City, but now you say, you can’t send me to the police station…” Lou Ning spoke with a mocking laugh, “An Zhenglin, is it that you cannot send me to the police station, or that you dare not do it? Back then, when my mother died from an allergic reaction to anti-inflammatory drugs, was it truly because she was confused and took the wrong medicine, or did you, taking advantage of her weakness, forcefully give her the drugs that would cause her death?”
