Chapter 1043 - 1043 1047 Ye Xingbei VS Gu Junzhu
Chapter 1043: Chapter 1047 Ye Xingbei VS Gu Junzhu Chapter 1043: Chapter 1047 Ye Xingbei VS Gu Junzhu Gu Junzhu leaned close to her lips and gently kissed them, softly chanting, “Dew falls on the green steps,
Star River Dust,
Lonely moon in the north window on this cold frosty night,
Questioning in the clear night,
Wordless,
Pursuing clouds in the idle courtyard where timid flowers fall,
You brought that lamp,
Leaving the verse half incomplete,
I quietly turned my thoughts into an ultimate pen,
Sigh, love is hard to describe,
Cannot be described,
Only speaking of the cold wind and the frosty moon,
You brought that lamp,
Leaving the verse half incomplete,
I quietly turned my thoughts into an ultimate pen,
Sigh, all love described,
Until thoughts depleted,
Only there, in the cold wind and the frosty moon.”
His voice was incredibly appealing, splendid and dignified, each word of the poem flowed smoothly, softening Ye Xingbei’s already weakened limbs even more.
The steady voice, like slowly flowing warm spring waters, soaked her limbs and body, bringing her joy and comfort throughout.
After he finished reciting, Ye Xingbei did not speak for a long while.
After a while, she took his hand, their fingers interlocked, and softly said, “This is an acrostic poem, Dew falls on the green steps, Star River Dust, Lonely moon in the north window on this cold frosty night… Ye Xingbei. Questioning in the clear night, Wordless, Pursuing clouds in the idle courtyard where timid flowers fall… Gu Junzhu.”
“Yes,” Gu Junzhu smiled lightly, his lips touching hers, “Do you like it?”
Ye Xingbei snuggled into his embrace, wrapping her arms around his neck, “I couldn’t like it more.”
She had written a song embedding their names.
He replied with a poem concealing their names.
This was a precious gift that could evoke memories for a lifetime.
It was an invaluable token of affection that money couldn’t buy.
Gu Junzhu looked at her with a smile, “I wonder if Madam Gu might be inspired to compose a melody for my poem.”
“Absolutely!” Ye Xingbei nodded, tightening her arms around him a little more, “How about we don’t publish this song? I’ll compose the melody, I’ll sing it myself, and we’ll both use it as our ringtone. We won’t publish it; it will be a song that belongs only to us.”
The names in the song she wrote were jumbled and embedded.
Those not familiar with them would find it hard to spot her and Gu Junzhu’s names in it.
Gu Junzhu’s poem, however, was an acrostic.
Anyone with a little attention could discover its intricacies.
This was her treasure.
She did not want to share it with anyone else.
“Of course,” Gu Junzhu hugged her indulgently with a smile, “This is a gift from Mr. Gu to Madam Gu; however Madam Gu wants it is how it shall be.”
“Dew falls on the green steps, Star River Dust, Lonely moon in the north window on this cold frosty night, Questioning in the clear night, Wordless, Pursuing clouds in the idle courtyard where timid flowers fall… Dew falls on the green steps, Star River Dust, Lonely moon in the north window on this cold frosty night, Questioning in the clear night, Wordless, Pursuing clouds in the idle courtyard where timid flowers fall…”
Ye Xingbei held Gu Junzhu, repeating these lines several times, her lips curled up high, her eyes brimming with joy, laughing like a fool.
Ye Xingbei.
Gu Junzhu.
In his heart, it was always Ye Xingbei first, then Gu Junzhu.
She was his Ye Xingbei.
He was her Gu Junzhu.
Ha ha!
She let go of Gu Junzhu and, laughing, rolled around among the flowers.
Seeing her so joyful, Gu Junzhu couldn’t help but smile too, stretching his arm out to playfully flick her nose, “Gone silly?”
“Yes,” Ye Xingbei nodded, “Silly with happiness.”
“Just a poem, really?” Gu Junzhu pulled her back into his arms, “Ye Xiaobei, you’re so easy to please.”
“Of course it’s worth it,” Ye Xingbei lay on him, her cheek against his chest, quietly said, “Gu Junzhu, do you know? You really are the best person I’ve met in my lifetime.”
The first time she met someone who valued her so dearly, who put so much thought into her.
