Chapter 531: Chapter 513: The Newcomer’s Strength
The arrival of Luo Di, this "special newcomer," attracted numerous agents who were not on a mission to come and watch.
Everyone gathered in a "compartment,"
where they could directly observe the newcomer assessment happening between the special floors through the single-view mirror of the compartment, even some details were clearly visible.
The test had just begun not too long ago,
when some agents deemed that the so-called special newcomer was just a façade, getting deeply entangled in mishaps due to oversight right from the start, predicting that this test would soon end.
A voice that seemed to be able to hasten death came from behind, "Watch closely... If you can’t even see through this, there’s no need for you to continue your exploration afterward. Your standards are too low; better go back and be investigators."
The department head spoke, and everyone immediately lifted their spirits tenfold to re-evaluate, with many agents noticing the details within.
"Could this guy be deliberately getting caught? He doesn’t want to waste time searching for the two spiritual body monsters, as they can freely move through walls, occupying a field advantage.
But how to break the impasse?
The coffin is entirely meant for him; once he falls into it, though he can contact the monster, he’s also trapped in a dead end."
In the eyes of many, Luo Di, who had just come to report at headquarters, was always labeled as a newbie, without any relics and not many means, making it hard to imagine how to handle the current situation.
However,
as Luo Di entered the coffin,
as the female ghost’s hand gripped his body.
Buzz! The sound of electric current came, and the scene switched.
All the agents in the compartment, including the department head, showed varying degrees of changes in their expressions.
The tall woman standing by the department head was full of disbelief, "Domain effect!? How is this possible? Even if this guy were to sprout, he couldn’t possibly possess such a level of domain so early?
Could it be related to the Connector identity?
And this domain looks very complete; even we bystanders are affected.
Even if we’re not pulled into it, we are assigned the status of [Audience].
This monitoring site has completely become a theater, even the visual and audio output has turned movie-related.
Department head... our department really has picked up two genuine ’monsters’ now."
"This is a good thing! Only with people like this can our exploration progress continue to advance, time is running out."
The department head sat up completely straight, he hadn’t been this excited for a long time.
...
[Sealing House]
Yu Ze looked at the scene presented in the basin, with an awkward smile.
"Damn it, no wonder you were also in a hurry to submit the application. The monster side indeed suits your development, comrade; your progress speed is a bit too exaggerated.
If I had known earlier, I would have added more materials, how can you play like this.
Just have to do the best I can."
Yu Ze rummaged through his backpack once more, taking out the egg he didn’t originally want to use, specifically, a hairy egg.
He cracked it open.
The dead embryo, which had its development terminated, fell into the basin.
Under the undead embryo’s effect, as twins, the two monsters began to generate an origin reaction, with the red line on their abdomen gradually becoming distinct, like an umbilical cord becoming real.
This umbilical cord began to pull, completely fusing the two together.
The sister’s face emerged on the back of the elder sister’s head,
an arm grew out from under the armpit,
deep red curse lines spread all over the body,
remorse got deeper, hate grew larger, all bodily functions were enhanced.
Despite being the strongest form of the conjoined monsters, their bodies nonetheless trembled a bit at this moment.
"Hmm? What’s the situation?"
As the manipulator behind the scenes, Yu Ze could directly feel that the conjoined monsters unexpectedly developed a kind of fundamental fear, causing them to become tense and difficult to control.
Yu Ze quickly locked onto the source of the fear,
blood,
for some unknown reason,
the monsters surprisingly felt fear toward the blood staining their bodies even though they themselves were associated with blood, usually carrying it while active.
"Blood phobia? How is this done?"
While Yu Ze was puzzled,
the conjoined monsters, under the invasion of high-level fear, began to lose control, wanting to rush into the nearby lake, to wash away the bloodstains on them.
Yu Ze at his side quickly discerned Luo Di’s intention, as soon as the conjoined monsters hit the water, everything would be over.
He hurriedly burned a strange talisman to modify the female ghost’s senses, turning their vision to black and white and making them unable to smell any blood scent.
But this process required time, by the time the talisman was burnt out, the conjoined female ghost was a step away from touching the lake water, standing at the wet shore.
Ring ring ring!
Yu Ze at his side hurriedly shook the bell to make them move away from the lake.
Yet, the conjoined female ghost didn’t budge, it wasn’t that they didn’t obey orders but their ankles were grasped by something.
"Danger!"
Yu Ze decisively ordered the female ghost to abandon the legs, but it was still a step too late.
Slash! Some kind of slash already took form.
Even the basin cracks appeared, splattering the stench-laden water all over Yu Ze’s face.
By the lakeside,
a severed leg and part of a body lay there.
Fortunately, the twin sisters— the younger one quickly grew out part of the body to replace the flesh severed from the elder. They retreated to the camping ground, fixing their gaze on the scene where the incident just occurred.
A figure, donning a hockey mask identical to the ’Jason’ from the films, emerged from the lake, crushing the severed limb beneath large rubber shoes in passing.
Strangely enough,
Jason wielded a metal bat in one hand, wore gloves on the other, and nowhere on his body was there a tool for cutting visible.
Yet just earlier, the conjoined ghost sisters were sliced apart unbelievably fast, and even Yu Ze was impacted.
As Jason was revealed entirely,
an oppressing aura enveloped them immediately, casting labels onto both sides— "Murderer" and "Prey."
Once these labels are attached, the prey side is subjected to unilateral weakening, falling into a disadvantage autonomously.
Conjoined ghost sisters were already not the type for head-on confrontation,
Yu Ze promptly rang a bell, urging them to retreat backward into the forest, leveraging their Spiritual Body traits to fully blend with the environment, awaiting opportunity.
Once more, something strange occurred,
no matter how the conjoined ghost sisters fled or hid, they could still hear the rubber shoe soles stepping on the ground, unable to shake loose.
"Are they marked? Moon or blood... only this can work."
Yu Ze took out a straw man from the bag, entwining the ghost sisters’ hair upon it, quickly bathing it in the blood from his fingers before placing it into the basin.
Between the forests,
the murderer "Jason" swiftly found the prey according to the mark.
Yet the target seemed odd, seemingly aware of being marked and ceased hiding.
Naked, sitting cross-legged,
like a lost girl, sobbing amid the woods, turning her back.
Luo Di hesitated not at all, maintaining the same speed advancing forward.
Upon closing in within two meters, the sobbing suddenly halted!
Cursed lines buried beneath the soil entangled Luo Di’s legs, restricting movement.
The conjoined sisters abruptly turned around,
with shrieks and howls,
waving cursed-entwined claws swiped suddenly.
Clang!
A resounding metallic clatter echoed through the woods, followed by a release of air pressure.
The metal bat struck heavily atop the conjoined ghost sisters’ heads, encircling with intense Fear aura, capable of inflicting direct harm upon monsters, Spiritual Bodies included.
This one strike utterly obliterated the target, scattering flesh and bones.
One chunk happened to land under the moonlight, transforming into straw under the lunar glow.
At this moment,
the curse lines enveloped Luo Di’s body entirely, forming a cohesive sealing entity.
An eerie wind surged!
Surrounding leaves rushed onto Luo Di, displaying talisman markings on their surfaces, jointly suppressing Luo Di, the murderer’s corporeal form.
A guttural growl intermixed with Hate came from behind.
The genuine ghost permeated between the trees.
Four frenzied twisting arms locked onto Luo Di’s nape.
Suddenly... crack! (sound of vertebra activity)
Luo Di, maintaining an unmoving posture, rotated his head 90°.
Side-eyeing the approaching conjoined ghost sisters,
without Fear,
without Hate,
without any form of emotion,
merely gazing indifferently at the other as if sighting a prey in a snare.
A trail of ashes drifted down between the woods.
[Great Slaughter]
No need for weapons,
relying only on Consciousness,
Luo Di had always wanted to try what potency this just recently comprehended Hell-inspired slaughter technique would hold under cinematic effect enhancement.
Crack!
The basin before Yu Ze, along with the entire portable ritual altar, was torn in half, with even the ground showing a shallow crack.
Ding!
Simultaneously a clang of metal resounded.
Yu Ze, wielding the copper coin sword in front, stepped back two paces, waves of heat releasing from the sword’s surface, reddening two coins completely.
"Hey there, you... are a bit too twisted."
