Deep in the Living
Chapter 351 - 339: The Curtain

Chapter 351: Chapter 339: The Curtain

While Wu Wen was discussing personal matters with the boss, David,

Luo Di slowly crawled out from the crack in the Corner, even feeling somewhat drained to the point of needing to support himself against the wall. He couldn’t even make it from the bedroom to the living room.

Halfway there, he sat on the edge of the bed to rest.

It seemed even the Old Spine couldn’t quickly recover from this rapidly overdrawn fatigue.

Agatha rushed over, looking him up and down: "Luo Di, shouldn’t your body be strong? I fought with you many times, and we even slept together at night, it’s impossible my judgment was wrong.

How could you be like this after just ten minutes? Could it be... does the Squad Leader have some special technique?"

Thinking of this, Agatha couldn’t help but recall her late-night chats with the Squad Leader.

"What are you thinking about? I just fought with her."

Agatha was still puzzled, "Huh? You call that fighting over there?"

"It was indeed a fight... The Squad Leader wanted to test my current strength."

"What?! I thought you two deliberately stayed inside to... Hmm~ After all, according to the Squad Leader, you hadn’t met for a long time, and it seems you haven’t interacted with any females during this time.

Didn’t expect your self-restraint to be so strong, no wonder Lord Hook noticed you from the start, this kind of discipline really has the potential of becoming a Monk.

By the way, who won between you and the Squad Leader?"

"Barely a draw, to be honest, she probably won. After all, I didn’t have a weapon in hand, which left my power greatly reduced."

Even though the Squad Leader won, Agatha couldn’t help but smile, "The Squad Leader’s real body must be stronger, right? Last night in bed she said that who came here wasn’t her physical form, but an Avatar constructed through some Corner technology."

"Hmm~ In the Corner, the Squad Leader is already equivalent to a Demon Ascension in Hell. The one here now is just an Avatar descending... However, she’s also connected to the True Hell, otherwise, it wouldn’t be so easy to come here.

Alright, I still need to revise the script, the sooner it’s submitted, the sooner we can start."

As Luo Di supported himself towards the desk, he discovered a Tumor Crystal tainted with ancient gray on the tabletop, exuding a captivating aroma.

Luo Di skillfully swallowed the Tumor Crystal,

quickly replenishing his depleted energy and greatly alleviating some internal injuries.

Just as Luo Di was about to express his gratitude, he noticed Calen was already asleep on the sofa, seemingly not having slept well last night.

While rewriting the script, Luo Di’s mind subconsciously replayed the encounters with the Squad Leader these past few days. Although the Squad Leader’s explanation could account for it, something still felt off, as if something was missing.

The pen in his hand unconsciously wrote a word on a blank paper: "Predicament."

"What does the Squad Leader mean by ’Predicament’? What kind of predicament is she trapped in within the Corner that requires taking risks, painstakingly descending an Avatar?

Timing the contact with me, what’s the true purpose of coming to Hell?

Is it really just to take the opportunity to contact Evil Play, acquire the Game Brain and initiate the Hell System?

It’s evident the Squad Leader is heavily pushing for the film’s production, I should just focus on my own role and act the part of the murderer."

Recalling the previous clash with the Squad Leader in the Corner-like Space reignited Luo Di’s competitive spirit. While revising the script, he casually reached out with an empty hand.

That Curse Blade Handle wrapped in gray cloth bandages seemed to be drawn by some pull, flying into Luo Di’s hand immediately.

With the mindset of a murderer, he tossed the blade handle while completing the script revision.

Neurological Photography Studio

The ground here was paved with scorched earth.

A Hell Hotel resembling a mansion was constructed, deliberately aged to make the entire hotel appear sinister and dilapidated.

Wu Wen, Agatha, and Calen would each portray Hell travelers belonging to different factions. Though their journeys differed, due to certain reasons, they needed to stay overnight at the hotel on the same night.

Additionally, there were some carefully selected extras to play as guests and hotel staff.

The movie’s story unfolds on this night, an event leads to a connection with the Corner, summoning Luo Di, the terrifying murderer, to wreak a bloody havoc on the entire hotel, very much a typical B-movie plot.

Due to the Squad Leader’s script adjustment,

Luo Di would attempt to display characteristics of the Corner as much as possible to offer viewers a different kind of fear experience.

The tentative film title is "Where Moonlight Clings to Skin."

Perhaps out of a sense of curiosity, or for some other reason.

Whether it was Agatha, the Iron Pillar Nun, or Calen, the Lighthouse Tumor Person, they were wholly invested, earnestly memorizing their scripts and attempting to enact them.

Meanwhile, Evil Play had a special method,

prior to shooting, they would connect to the actors’ rear brains via neurological links, letting them immediately embody the script roles and current scene, thus as long as they remembered their lines, they could practically perform their roles flawlessly.

Due to the Squad Leader’s limited time,

the boss and director, David, requested everyone to perform in one take if possible, even if any contingencies arose, they must adapt and make the best decision on the fly.

Before rolling,

Luo Di was wholly exhilarated; it was his first time acting, he could even feel slight tremors in his skull, yearning for the nourishment from drama.

Though the film would use murderer props prepared in advance in the Corner-like Space.

Luo Di still hid the Curse Blade Handle within his coat, for emergencies, confident he could control it perfectly, ensuring no harm would come to others.

As he was delving deeply into the character,

a disheveled girl stepped out of the dressing room, the very character the Squad Leader would portray, a key role to introduce the ’Corner Concept.’

He expected some words of encouragement before filming, but unexpectedly, the Squad Leader walked over and hugged Luo Di from behind.

"Only by giving your all can you produce the most real and shocking effects, only then will your brain be satisfied, don’t hold back."

This embrace and the words whispered by the Squad Leader from behind felt oddly familiar to Luo Di. Suddenly, he recalled a similar exchange and gesture between the two who stayed in the classroom on the eve of senior year examinations.

Perhaps realizing something, Luo Di didn’t verbally respond, just quietly nodded.

...

Cre-eak!

A heavily disguised underground Iron Gate, sealed with over a dozen chains, was found and was slowly opening.

A pair of soft pink shoes trod on the dusty stairwell,

a moist tongue licked a photo of a girl in the hand,

nostrils flared at the strong scent in the air,

a lively life force seemed to pulse in his crotch forcing him to tug at the smaller underwear with his hand again.

"Right here..."

Tucking the photo away,

stepping down the stairs to the basement,

pushing open the inner-most compartment,

he could no longer hold back at the sight before him, the sound of fabric tearing came from his crotch.

Among the photos he took secretly,

the girl who fascinated him most, also the most elusive one to track, one that would normally take much effort to capture, was right here defenseless.

"Hmm, this is... an Incarnation Ritual."

In the pitch-black compartment, several high-value black candles were lit, shrouding the environment in further darkness.

The girl knelt silently in a dark corner,

dense symbols were drawn on the corner walls,

a thin line protruded from the girl’s forehead, extending to the depths of the Corner, connected to the Human World’s surface.

This act was beyond the man’s comprehension,

"Knowing she’s already marked by me, why choose to incarnate at this moment? Is it realizing escape is impossible, inevitably falling into my hands, hence taking the chance to see a loved one in the Human World?

Must be a lover, right? If so, that would be fantastic."

The man did not disrupt the scene nor interrupt the other’s incarnation descent; in some sense, this behavior catered to his particular proclivity.

He extended his tongue,

and licked at the girl’s collarbone, the taste and sensation surpassing any girl he had encountered, simply exceptional.

As he licked,

his hands gradually roamed upwards,

one hand caressing her cheek, slowly sliding downward, finding the gap at the neckline, sliding to the slightly raised area.

The other hand crept up an ankle, traveling into the mysterious gap between the trousers.

Just as he was about to touch,

Buzz!

A slight tremor gave the man pause, he seemed to feel some kind of pull.

He looked up at the girl ahead,

the Corner that should have been pitch-black had transformed, becoming a kind of dark curtain, a seam in the curtain seemed to possess a strong lure.
