Death… And Me
Chapter 3655: Stopped In Time

Chapter 3655: Stopped In Time

Rean, Roan, Kentucky, and Celis immediately reacted and shot forward. The same went for Citchi, Crohei, and the rest of Pardikan’s companions.

Still, they were slightly too late, as neither side expected their member to suddenly attack for no reason. In such a situation, you would at least tell your companions you intended to do something through Divine Sense, but no such message reached either of the groups.

Pardikan Major Law of Wind gathered while a sword appeared in his hand. Wind Element followed with his Divine Sense and even Sword Intent in the Fifth Stage!

Rifindio couldn’t use laws, but he changed back into his bat form while his Regal Bloodline freed itself from the concealment Kentucky put on him. Finally, the two met in the middle! Sword slashed out, and several blood spears met it!

*Bang!*

*Ugh!*

Rifindio vomited blood and was sent flying. Even with his Regal Bloodline, the fact he couldn’t use any laws was still a major disadvantage. However, he avoided any serious injuries as he quickly got up and shot in Pardikan’s direction once again.

Pardikan, having the advantage, didn’t simply wait for him, though. When Rifindio got back on his feet, Pardikan was already in front of him again. But then...

*Zuk, zul, zul, zul, zul, zul...*

Thousands of completely concealed runes lit up in the area. Those were the runes of Rean’s formation that he had prepared to fight Pardikan’s group at first. He thought he wouldn’t have a need for it, but now he couldn’t conceal it anymore.

Space froze around Pardikan, and Rifindio’s Blood Spears pierced his body. Rean had hours to build that formation, and he brought plenty of materials in his Spatial Ring, so in a place where cultivation is suppressed to the Transition Realm, his formations were pretty much unbeatable. In fact, Rean’s formation could be even stronger, but the Golden Palace also seemed to limit their power so they wouldn’t surpass too much the power of a Transition Realm expert.

*Arrrghhhh!*

Pardikan was the one to have his blood coming out this time. It’s just that his condition was many times worse than Rifindio’s earlier. He couldn’t even control his laws correctly, courtesy of Rean’s formation that inhibited that process.

Of course, Pardikan’s other friends saw that, trying to leave the area of the formation straight away. Their laws gathered around them, even if just slightly, because of Rean’s formation. Working together, they broke through the formation’s range, making use of the fact they were at the very border of it where its power was the smallest, only stopping several tens of meters away.

Rean and Roan appeared inside the formation while Kentucky and Celis positioned themselves between Pardikan and his companions.

Rean looked at Rifindio, who made another move, intending to finish Pardikan there and then.

*Zul!*

Yet, space also froze around Rifindio, and since he couldn’t use laws, he was even more unable to move than Pardikan just now. Looking at Rifindio, all Rean and Roan could see was a blank expression and an overwhelming bright red color of killing intent. Well, Pardikan’s killing intent was just as thick.

"What have you done?!" Citchi didn’t dare to enter the formation, nor did her companions. Now they were sure the twins’ group wasn’t simple at all. Well, they actually got the wrong idea. The twins’ group wasn’t strong just because of Rean’s formations, but it did look like that right now. They couldn’t even perceive Rean’s formation runes with their divine senses before Rean activated them.

Rean turned back to them. "That’s our question. Out of nowhere, your guy just charged at our friend... or so I wanted to say. Citchi, right? Can you see if this guy can answer your call? My friend, Zirconio, isn’t answering mine."

"This..." Citchi, Crohei, and the others were taken aback. Indeed, Pardikan initiated that combat on his own as well. That wasn’t all. They had their Divine Senses spread, so they saw how the twins’ group seemed as shocked as them when Rifindio acted.

Citchi approached the formation but didn’t enter it. Inside, she could see Pardikan and Rifindio frozen in space. If they wanted to kill Pardikan, now was the best moment, but they didn’t, which probably meant they were at a loss, too. "Pardikan, answer me!"

Citchi shouted, used Divine Sense, everything... Nothing worked. Pardikan continued with his blank expression, full of killing intent. It was as if he couldn’t even feel the deep injuries on his body. "You are not sealing his ability to speak, are you?"

"Your divine sense can enter, and you can see it yourself," Rean shook his head, his eyes dark. "The only reason they aren’t at each other’s throat is because I’m holding them in place."

Meanwhile, Roan got close to the two and analyzed them closely. He put his hand on Rifindio’s head, sending his Divine Sense inside. It didn’t take long for his eyes to change. "This is different..."

Everyone turned in Roan’s direction, but he didn’t say anything and did the same to Pardikan. Finally, he confirmed. "These two, they aren’t awake."

"What?!"

Everyone thought they heard it wrong. "Not awake? Sleeping? Is that what you mean?"

"Yes," Roan ignored their surprise. "The lady called Citchi. If we release Pardikan, do you think you can hold him back so he won’t attack our companion?"

Citchi looked back at her other companions. Most of them thought Roan just wanted to bring her into the formation as well to be caught in the trap. Naturally, she thought the same thing. "Can’t you simply knock him out and throw him to us?"

Roan pondered a bit and nodded. He sent some of his Dark Element inside, and Pardikan was assaulted by an unbearable pain he never felt before. It only lasted a second, though. He was knocked out easily and wouldn’t wake up anytime soon. "Release him."

Rean waved his hand, and the formation lost its spatial grip over Pardikan. Finally, Roan threw the guy in Citchi’s direction like he was a pile of trash or something like that. "He got pretty injured, so you should heal him as soon as possible."

Roan moved to Rifindio next, and this time, he was more careful while knocking him out.

Rean sighed, waving his hand again and deactivating the formation. "So much for my concealed formation..."

Now, both sides had their companions back, but it was pretty obvious that neither of them expected what had just happened.

No one noticed, though, but Rifindio’s eyes flashed with a blue and dark light for a brief moment before disappearing.
