"Fang Che, you hold so much wealth, while so many of your senior brothers can't even afford to eat! What if that hampers our cultivation? Would that not weigh on your conscience?"

The older student was changing tactics once again, this time making an appeal to conscience.

"Even if I have a son in the future, I may not pay for everything for him, yet you want me to take responsibility for all of you?" Fang Che chuckled in an exasperated manner.

Many of the older students had their egos bruised upon hearing this, and they began to gather around Fang Che with menacing expressions.

"What? You were prepared to bet your points, but not prepared to starve? What are you gonna do, beat me up? Is this considered acceptable conduct for students of this academy? Help! These gamblers are ganging up on me!"

He made sure that his voice could be heard across the entire field.

"Whats going on here?!"

Several instructors swooped onto the scene, and the male students that had surrounded Fang Che were taken away to the disciplinary office.

All of the girls around Fang Che had been preparing to fight for him, and they were ecstatic to see this.

"Huang Shuijing looks like a decent guy, but he's really shown his true colors here! You know, he confessed to me once. Thank heavens I turned him down!"

"Hu Xiaoniu bet on Huo Churan and lost, then came to Fang Che to ask for a free meal! It's incredible how low people can stoop when they have no sense of shame!"

"I know, right? What was that other guy's name? I can't remember, but he wrote me a love letter last month, and I was considering it, but it looks like that won't be necessary now. Someone like him deserves to be single for life!"

"Did you see Long Bi back there? I can't believe someone can be so ugly and shameless! My eyes have truly been opened!"

To make matters even better, they were treating him to the meal in order to celebrate the merit points that he had won them.

"Fang Che, I support everything you said today, but I'm sure you've made a lot of enemies, so you have to be careful," one of the female students cautioned in earnest.

"It's fine!"

Fang Che was completely unfazed.

He had said those things precisely to offend some people, so he certainly wasn't worried about causing offense.

There were definitely going to be some hardships to come, but that was hardly a concern for him.

For his ultimate mission, he was willing to put even his life on the line, so some trivial hardships here and there weren't going to faze him.

Upon returning to his manor, Fang Che gleefully pinched Ye Meng's adorable cheeks as he declared triumphantly, "Ye Meng, your young master is the champion of the new student tournament!"

"Really?" Ye Meng exclaimed in an ecstatic manner.

"Of course!"

"That's amazing!" Ye Meng hurriedly flattered.

All of a sudden, Fang Che's face fell as he harrumphed, "I'm the new student champion, yet you're still not even a Warrior Master. Don't you feel ashamed?"

"Huh?"

Ye Meng was stunned.

How was his mood capable of swinging so quickly and drastically?!

"Hurry up and go cultivate! If you keep slacking off like this, I'll whip you, then sell you to a brothel!"

Ye Meng immediately fled the scene while rolling her eyes in annoyance and exasperation.

She couldn't understand why her flattery had been met with such hostility.

She really wanted to beat him up!

"As for Huo Churan, I was going to befriend him as well, but he wasn't having any of it, so I decided to turn on him instead, and I beat him to a pulp. Right now, one of them is my friend, while the other is my sworn enemy, and I can use both of those relationships to my advantage in different ways."

"You're a nasty little piece of work, aren't you?" Sun Yuan chuckled. "Looks like I don't have to worry about you anymore!"

"Master, my reward..." Fang Che reminded.

"Don't worry, it's being arranged! Pope Yin must be ecstatic right now!"

Yin Shengong was indeed ecstatic.

He was standing in the center of the One Heart Church headquarters, chortling with glee.

He was viciously venting the humiliation that he had suffered at the hands of the three churches in the wake of his failed raid on the Iron Will Fort.

"Did you fools really think you had a chance at claiming the top spot? What put you under the illusion that you could lead our One Heart Church? Ptui! Clueless scum! Shameless fools! Dirty bastards! What now? All of you have to bow down to me! Let's see you send letters to mock me now!"

His rumbling voice was causing the clouds in the sky above to ripple and churn violently, but no one could hear him.

He had come here on his own, refusing to even bring Mu Linyuan with him.

After some more ecstatic cackling, a menacing look appeared on his face as he scoffed, "You can keep dreaming if you think you can get one up over me! Night Demon has done an exceptional job! He must be rewarded!"

Meanwhile, the intelligence sent out by Ye Meng was already beginning to make the rounds.

The last batch of intelligence she had provided had already created a massive stir among the higher-ups of the Protectionists, and she was quickly becoming an unexpected gold mine of information.

She had already made a massive contribution by thwarting the One Heart Church's attack on the Iron Will Fort, and she had just made additional contributions in confirming the correlation between the Five Spirit Parasite and the communication method used by the Church of the Self-Righteous, as well as exposing the Ximen Clan.

The Ximen Clan had deep roots in the area, and they could inflict severe damage upon their city at the drop of a hat.

Now that their cover had been blown, the Protectionists would be able to make preparations in advance, so Ye Meng had essentially just saved hundreds of thousands of civilian lives!

Hence, after some discussion, the Shadow Hall decided to promote her.

She was deserving of a C rank, but her reward was still being considered.

There was no hurry anyway, seeing as she still had to continue to serve as an undercover agent.

Additionally, White Cloud Warrior Academy had to be notified of the Ximen Clan's ties to the Divine Heavenly Church, given that there were still two instructors on the chopping block.

Fan Tiantiao didn't know what to make of the news of Fang Che claiming the top spot in the new student tournament.

As the champion of the new student tournament, he had not just received a lavish reward of pills and merit points, the academy was going to be obligated to nurture him and provide him with the best resources.

The problem was that he was a member of the One Heart Church!

If he were to report this matter to his higher-ups, then he would have to reveal the fact that Fang Che's maidservant was a spy.

The more people that knew about Ye Meng's true identity, the more danger she would be in.

If an enemy undercover agent were to learn of this, then they were certainly not going to be able to acquire any more intelligence from Fang Che.

Hence, Ye Meng couldn't be exposed.

In that case, how could he expose Fang Che without exposing Ye Meng?

At the very least, he had to ensure that White Cloud Warrior Academy didn't invest fully in Fang Che.

Fan Tiantiao immediately set off to visit Huang Yifan.

Huang Yifan was very annoyed by Fan Tiantiao's visit.

Even he still hadn't made up his mind on what to do with Fang Che.

"What do you want me to do?"

Huang Yifan rolled his eyes as he scoffed, "So you want him to rise to greater heights in order to secure more intelligence from him, but you also want us to invest less in him. You're trying to have your cake and eat it too!"

"Well... That's why I came to you for a plan," Fan Tiantiao said.

"This isn't my strong suit, I only know how to fight!"

Fan Tiantiao was rendered completely speechless.

Are we talking about the same thing here? Does he not understand what I'm saying to him?
