Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Turn in the Paper
"You..."
Qian Chao was immediately choked with anger.
He had never expected Zhu Fei to react like this to his recent conditions.
This made Qian Chao’s already displeased expression turn even darker.
Back when he was at Lan City Second Middle School, when had Qian Chao ever been treated like this? Who didn’t show him respect? Who dared not to show him respect?
Moreover, it was happening right in front of Pan Tingting, making him, Qian Chao, unable to save face.
How could he, Qian Chao, tolerate such an insult?
He then glared at Zhu Fei, his tone full of threat, "Kid, what I said wasn’t a negotiation, it was an order—an order, do you understand?"
"I’m advising you now, it’s best not to be ungrateful, otherwise you’re going to regret it! Get up for me now!"
Saying this, Qian Chao reached out, attempting to pull Zhu Fei from his seat.
Upon seeing this, a sharp look flashed in Zhu Fei’s eyes.
Before Qian Chao’s hand could reach him, Zhu Fei had already grabbed Qian Chao’s wrist, his eyes coldly fixed on him as he said, "Scram!"
After he spoke, Zhu Fei unceremoniously flung Qian Chao’s wrist away.
Caught off guard, Qian Chao stumbled backward several steps.
Finally, he tripped over his own feet and fell straight onto his backside on the ground, causing a burst of laughter from the surrounding students.
Qian Chao’s face instantly turned a livid shade of blue as he stared furiously at Zhu Fei.
"Kid, it seems you really have a death wish!"
Amidst his roar, Qian Chao had already gotten back up and instantly swung a fist at Zhu Fei’s face.
Facing Qian Chao’s ferociously fast fist, Zhu Fei didn’t even blink, simply raising his foot and once again knocking him to the ground.
With Qian Chao hitting the ground again, another round of laughter erupted from the students.
This time, Qian Chao gave up trying to fight Zhu Fei.
He wasn’t stupid—after being put down twice, he could tell that Zhu Fei was a tough nut to crack, not someone a wealthy scion like himself could handle.
Yet as he looked at Zhu Fei, his gaze was now filled with deep resentment.
"Kid, just wait, this isn’t over. I won’t let you get away with this!"
Having said this and with no face to stay any longer, Qian Chao picked up his fallen pen and paper and walked off toward a distant seat.
"Shh—"
"Why always such words after they lose, don’t they have anything else to say?"
Chuckles Zhu Fei, shaking his head teasingly, then turned to Pan Tingting, who was looking back at him, and said with a wry smile, "So, what’s Qian Chao’s story anyway? Don’t tell me he’s cut from the same cloth as Guo Shaonjun?"
Pan Tingting rolled her eyes at Zhu Fei and replied, "Pretty much. He was a classmate from middle school who keeps bothering me now. He’s a total fool; I can’t even be bothered with him."
"Oh, so he’s a fool then. No wonder," Zhu Fei said cheekily.
Pan Tingting’s beautiful brows raised slightly, she said testily, "Zhu Fei, what do you mean? When have you started speaking so cryptically?"
Rubbing his nose, Zhu Fei replied playfully, "I mean, Qian Chao is a fool, no wonder he would fancy such an oddball woman like you."
"Oddball... woman...?"
Pan Tingting suddenly had three dark lines appear on her forehead.
She glared at Zhu Fei, her pretty face quickly turning red.
"Zhu Fei! You bastard! Are you trying to infuriate me to death? You just wait..."
"Cough cough cough..."
Before Pan Tingting could finish her furious rant, Zhu Fei had already pointed behind her and said, "Shush, the proctor is coming. Turn around quickly, do you want to be disqualified?"
Hearing this, Pan Tingting’s expression instantly stiffened, and when she turned around, she indeed saw two proctors walking in from outside.
She lowered her head, glared at Zhu Fei again with indignation, and whispered threateningly, "Zhu Fei, just you wait. This isn’t over. I’ll see how I deal with you later."
Pan Tingting’s words at first mildly stunned Zhu Fei, but then he laughed again.
"It seems I overestimated you; you’re not much different from the rest after all."
"Go to hell, scram."
Pan Tingting lifted her foot, kicked the leg of Zhu Fei’s table through the gap between the chairs, then puffed her cheeks, huffily turned around, and didn’t look at Zhu Fei anymore.
Watching Pan Tingting’s retreating figure, Zhu Fei touched his nose again, finding it somewhat amusing.
For some reason, whenever he saw Pan Tingting, he couldn’t help but feel an urge to tease her.
...
A few minutes later, the examination bell rang, and the proctors handed out the test papers.
Zhu Fei looked over the test paper quickly and realized that the questions were no longer challenging for him.
He hesitated no further, lifted his pen, and began to quickly answer the questions on the test paper.
In less than an hour, Zhu Fei had finished answering all the questions.
He looked up and saw Pan Tingting in front of him, biting her pen and frowning in contemplation. He smiled to himself.
Without hesitation, he picked up his test paper, stood up, and walked toward the lectern.
Seeing Zhu Fei stand up, Pan Tingting, who was still deep in thought, was visibly surprised.
However, her surprise quickly turned into a sneer.
"Zhu Fei, you bastard, you probably don’t know how to do the questions, huh? Hmm, so restless already, wait until you have to explain this to Mengyun!"
Thinking this, Pan Tingting no longer paid attention to Zhu Fei and lowered her head to concentrate on the questions before her.
At the same time, Qian Chao, sitting in the distance, saw Zhu Fei handing in his paper so quickly and couldn’t help but feel doubtful.
He knew that if he still wanted to deal with Zhu Fei afterward, he couldn’t let him just walk away.
Otherwise, where would he find him later?
However, he had completed less than half of his test paper, and if he handed it in now, his score would naturally be disastrous.
Yet, letting Zhu Fei leave like this, he felt somewhat reluctant.
As he hesitated, Zhu Fei had already walked out of the classroom.
Watching Zhu Fei’s figure about to disappear, and remembering the humiliation Zhu Fei had caused him before, Qian Chao’s mind heated up. He also stood up from his seat, grabbed his half-finished test paper, and hurried toward the lectern.
