Chapter 228: Chapter 228 : The Dispute Between Two Families (3)

Xie Jianyu was not sure who he needed to beat up first -- the husband who escaped to a brothel with a young omega maiden who ran away from home, or the two alphas who were supposed to fight over the same omega maiden but were found in a questionable district together, entangling in the most indecent way in the same questionable district.

The Crown Prince tapped with his fingers impatiently at the table while he waited for the two alphas to get dressed and return to the tea house’s biggest chamber for questioning purposes.

Holding each other’s hands tightly, Sun Mingqi and Duan Ruiyang entered the room together.

They fell to their knees and cupped their hands in front of Xie Jianyu in greeting.

"Sun Mingqi from Wuyang Palace, greets Your Majesty the Crown Prince."

"Duan Ruiyang from Xiyu Palace, offers his greeting to Your Majesty, the..."

"Cut out the long greeting!" Xie Jianyu snapped impatiently. "Explain to me what is going on here!"

Sun Mingqi and Duan Ruiyang exchanged terrified glances. And then Duan Ruiyang decided to speak up on their behalf.

"Your Majesty, I fell in love with Sun Mingqi at first sight. It was I who seduced him first. Please punish me for my sins."

Sun Mingqi widened his eyes. Grabbing his lover’s wrist, he cried out, "NO! I was equally guilty! If I did not find you attractive, I would not agree to come with you here!"

"Mingqi..."

Duan Ruiyang grabbed Sun Mingqi’s hands.

The two alpha men exchanged loving gazes, ready to face punishment whatever it might be.

Xie Jianyu’s face remained unchanged at the marvelous presentation of undying love and loyalty.

Zhang Fengxi swallowed hard. Did he aggravate Xie Jianyu so much that the latter turned into a stone statue within days?

"Jianbao..."

Xie Jianyu shot his husband a glare to shut him up. And then, he redirected his attention back to the two young men who were still kneeling in front of him.

"What will your fathers say about this?" He sighed. "Your fathers are ripping their heads off to get you a bride, and here you are, disrespecting them."

Speaking about the bride.

Xie Jianyu turned to look at Wen Xiangxiang. The girl flinched when she caught the Crown Prince’s eyes.

"Wen Xiangxiang, why are you here?"

Zhang Fengxi broke into a nervous chuckle.

"Jianbao, ah... it’s like this..."

He was quickly shut up when Winter Frost’s icy blade returned to his neck.

"..."

Wen Xiangxiang shook like a tiny leaf amidst a raging hurricane.

"W-Wen Xiangxiang greets..."

Xie Jianyu shut her up with a dismissive handwave.

"Tell me what you are doing here."

Wen Xiangxiang nervously pulled up a painting that she had been working on.

It depicted a handsome man sitting at a table, sipping wine in a serene and unhurried manner next to a big, open window. Outside of the window, the scene of a bustling town served as the backdrop.

The man’s brows were sharp and unyielding, but the eyes beneath them were gentle and loving.

The luxurious bright blue robe made him look like a scholar, but the dark teal armor over his shoulders and torso screamed an exalted general, no less.

Wen Xiangxiang’s artistic strokes truly managed to bring out the life of the painting. It almost seemed that the man in the painting was with them in the room, drinking wine together with them.

The handsome man in question was indeed in the room, but in Xie Jianyu’s opinion, the husband who cheated on his wife on the eighth day of their marriage did not deserve to be painted in such an artistic way.

To Wen Xiangxiang’s dejection, Xie Jianyu averted his eyes with a disdainful snort.

The girl was about to break into tears. An encouraging smile from Zhang Fengxi served only to harden the muscles around Xie Jianyu’s mouth.

"Very well," Xie Jianyu gritted his teeth.

He knew that he should not have trusted Zhang Fengxi. It was the weakness of his heart that was now catching up to him.

"Wen Xiangxiang, you can be with the love of your life for all I care. Just go home and... mmmmmmmppphh!!!"

In front of everyone’s eyes, Zhang Fengxi boldly pulled Xie Jianyu in for a kiss. He sucked on Xie Jianyu’s lips ravenously, leaving him no room to even take a single breath.

"Mmmm!!! Mmmmm!!!"

The guards swallowed hard. They averted their eyes and stared at the wooden floor as if they had never seen anything more interesting.

Wen Xiangxiang’s cheeks turned pink. Her mouth was slightly open as she clutched her painting with both hands.

Sun Mingqi and Duan Ruiyang could not help but gape at the royal couple with pounding hearts.

The Crown Prince used to be an alpha, right?

Now that he had become an omega, he was especially irresistible.

The sweet pair of lips that carried the mesmerizing color of the sweetest peach...

The soft, supple skin that seemed to glow from within...

His bewitching pair of almond eyes...

The alluring voice that escaped his throat as he tried to break away from his husband’s kiss...

It was the head guard who had enough sense and decency to usher everyone out of the room in order to grant the married couple some privacy.

After Zhang Fengxi released Xie Jianyu, he pressed a finger against his wife’s lips and whispered, "Jianbao, should you not listen to my side of the story? Or do you believe that my love for you is a joke?"

Xie Jianyu bit into Zhang Fengxi’s finger out of resentment.

"Fine, do tell me your side of the story," he snarled at his husband in displeasure.

"Hmm... I don’t know about that," Zhang Fengxi slowly said as he ran his hands down Xie Jianyu’s slender frame. His wife had curves at all the right spots.

Zhang Fengxi squeezed Xie Jianyu’s bottom with gusto.

"I have not seen you for so long. I would rather spend the time catching up with my wife."
