Xie Jianshen was there to receive Xie Jianyu when the omega was brought back to Fuxi Palace to recuperate.

He tended to his younger brother meticulously day and night. The Crown Prince slipped in and out of deep sleep while mumbling incoherent words in his feverish state.

Xie Jianshen was never able to catch their meaning before Xie Jianyu drifted back to sleep.

After a few days passed, Xie Jianyu finally opened his eyes.

Once the younger omega was lucid enough to talk, Xie Jianshen sat him down for a talk. He had both good news and bad news for Xie Jianyu.

"The bad news is that your gender is exposed to everyone in the Heavenly Realm."

Lying with his head on top of Xie Jianshen’s lap, Xie Jianyu gritted his teeth. He did not expect the two palace masters to remain secretive, but words sure traveled fast.

"And the good news is that they do not demand my head right away?" He guessed with a hint of irony.

Xie Jianshen wrapped a strand of Xie Jianyu’s hair around his little finger and chuckled.

"The good news is that we manage to pin the blame on the First Demon King."

Xie Jianshen ran his hands across Xie Jianyu’s shoulder and arm.

"It’s fine. The Demonic Realm comes up with all kinds of atrocities every once in a while. It would not be too far-fetched to claim that they can turn an alpha into an omega."

"I guess that can be considered good news. Now, what?"
