Chapter 140: Chapter 140 : The Demon King’s Bride (3)
WHAM
The glass shard left the Three-Eyed Realm Wanderer’s hand. Her mouth was open in bewilderment when she was ripped off the ground and flew backward.
"Aaaaaahhhhh...!!!"
The woman groaned when she was smashed against the wall and slid to the cold floor afterward.
"You... You are awake?"
Xie Jianyu pushed himself to a sitting position.
"You can’t seriously believe that I will lose against a human being’s dirty trick."
The Three-Eyed Realm Wanderer scowled at Xie Jianyu.
"Are you looking down at me?"
"No, but you clearly were," Xie Jianyu answered smoothly.
"Instead of fighting each other, why don’t we work together?"
The woman’s jaw dropped open.
"I am loyal to my King," she replied. "I will never betray him."
Xie Jianyu climbed off the stone block and kicked at the glass shards on the ground.
"Relax. I know that you are your King’s most loyal subject."
The Three-Eyed Realm Wanderer smirked.
"If you know that, then why do you suggest that we work together?"
Xie Jianyu smiled.
"You clearly do not want your King to take me as his wife."
"..."
"What a coincidence, I also do not want that."
The Three-Eyed Realm Wanderer balled her fingers into fists.
"The King has decided. You have to marry him no matter what."
"There is still one week left. He might just change his decision."
"..."
The Three-Eyed Realm Wanderer knew that she was not supposed to negotiate with Xie Jianyu, but what the latter said so far was in line with her own intention.
The woman licked her lips. She could not help but ask, "What do you have in mind?"
"You can make it so that I can never birth a child."
"..."
Xie Jianyu must be the first omega who allowed himself to be maligned.
"Why? What’s in it for you?"
"I don’t want to be utilized as a birthing tool."
Xie Jianyu thought back about his departed mother. Had she not been forced to give birth to a second child, she would not have died so soon.
Childbirth was the main cause of omega deaths.
No.
Xie Jianyu’s eyes turned cold.
Differentiation into an omega was.
Xie Jianyu’s idea was not bad. However...
"The King will know," she said. "I cannot recover your omega characteristics while at the same time turning you barren."
"I am sure that you have ways," Xie Jianyu raised his eyebrow at her. "You are the most knowledgeable person for this task."
"Yes... I mean, I can do that... Mix a few of the Siren’s Tears and that ancient root that grew in the Ten Peony Valley..."
The woman walked back and forth in front of Xie Jianyu while murmuring to herself.
"I need to get some ingredients..."
"I will ask permission from the King tomorrow..."
"Borrow a skeletal horse for transportation..."
"Yeah."
Xie Jianyu looked away from his newly-gained accomplice.
Becoming barren was one thing, and escaping from the Demonic Realm was another thing.
He had to find Winter Frost first. And then, he had to escape from the palace to recover his spiritual power.
When Xie Jianyu was not needed, he was locked inside a bedroom. If not for his status as a prisoner, he might just think that he was a guest in the First Demon King’s palace.
The entire bedroom looked like it was specifically decorated for an omega.
Peach-colored walls; a huge bed with red pillow and red bedding; red, translucent silk curtains; and a wardrobe full of bright-colored gowns for Xie Jianyu.
"..."
In the past, the number of times Xie Jianyu dressed himself as an omega could be counted on one hand.
During these few days at the Demonic Realm, he started to get sick of dressing as an omega.
He hated the overlarge gown which hem dragged behind him whenever he walked.
He hated the omega hairstyle that allowed his long hair to fall free behind his back.
To make his situation even worse, he was locked high up in a tower.
Xie Jianyu peered down from the only window in the bedroom.
He could not even see the ground from up here. Without his spiritual power, jumping down was nothing short of suicide.
"I hope that you are not planning to escape," a smooth satiny voice was heard behind him.
Xie Jianyu whipped around in shock.
The First Demon King was leaning against the door frame in a lax manner. He let his penetrating gaze wander on Xie Jianyu’s body.
"Has anyone ever told you that you are beautiful?"
"Scram."
Xie Jianyu took off one of his dainty shoes and threw it at the demon’s face. The latter intercepted the shoe with a burst of laughter.
"But fierce," he added. "It does make sense because you were not raised to impress an alpha."
"What do you want?" Xie Jianyu glared at the high-ranking demon.
The First Demon King tilted his head to the side. He wore a charming smile on his lips.
"Can the groom not visit the bride before the wedding takes place?"
"Considering that this wedding is non-consensual, you cannot possibly expect me to be happy to see you."
"Ah, I see. I see. So I need to ask for your consent."
"No need. You don’t have my consent," Xie Jianyu said through gritted teeth.
The First Demon King chuckled.
"If you are an omega, you should behave like one. I am going to teach you to beg for my touch."
Xie Jianyu humphed.
"In your dreams."
"Soon, in yours as well."
Or better said, nightmares.
When the First Demon King stepped into the bedroom, Xie Jianyu retreated toward the window.
"What are you trying to do?"
He tried to stay calm, but his voice betrayed his fear and insecurities.
"There is a good way to make an omega submit to his alpha. Do you know about it?"
The First Demon King unbuttoned the clasp at his neck. His black cape slid down his back and landed on the carpeted floor.
The pair of crocodile skin gloves soon followed.
"Tonight, I am going to mark you."
