Chapter 138: Chapter 86: Space Advancement – Copper

"Little master, have you ever read a book called ’Journey to the West’?" As the most tragic flood dragon of this century, Little White Jiao was soaring through the skies.

Before becoming a flood dragon, White Jiao was a hard-studying cultivator living at White Dragon Pond. Occasionally, it also dabbled in sideline activities, dredging up corpses from underwater. On the body of an unsuccessful Late Qing Scholar, it found an ancient tome, which depicted a pitiful dragon transformed by evil villains into a horse, carrying Tang Sanzang to the Western Heaven for scriptures. Little White Jiao thought that what it was doing now was similar to what that poor Prince Dragon had done. In one word, it was damn unfitting for a flood dragon.

"I’ve neither read it nor heard of it. Neither grandpa nor Master Shan Yin taught me. Be careful not to fly in the wrong direction. Don’t get sidetracked; watch what’s ahead," Xiao Xian, sitting on the dragon’s back and feeling the spring breeze on his face, thought this was much more enjoyable than the Cloud Ascension Technique. If he could let grandpa sit on the dragon’s back too, he wouldn’t need to bother taking a train anymore, which was crowded and stuffy, reeking of sweat.

To prevent falling from mid-air, Xiao Xian unceremoniously grabbed several scales on White Jiao’s neck, causing it such pain that it howled.

White Jiao’s initial ascending posture was somewhat similar to an airplane taking off, except it didn’t have gliding wings.

So, in the process of flying, it moved forward in a wavelike motion, similar to riding on an ocean-going ship, which people accustomed to living on land initially found hard to adapt to. After a bit of stomach churning, Xiao Xian finally settled in.

The flight sped up, moving from low to high, and at an altitude of about five or six hundred meters, White Jiao finally stabilized. The air wasn’t too thin, and occasionally passing birds dared not come close but avoided them from afar.

Little White Jiao could change its size, and to cater to its little master’s mischievous taste, it was now only about one and a half meters long, looking indeed no different from a horse, except that its belly, covered in scales, sported several claws. According to White Jiao, once it grew all nine claws, it could transform into a dragon.

"Little master, I haven’t asked yet, where are we going?" After flying for quite some time, Ge Village was out of sight. Xiao Xian, hugging White Jiao’s neck, looked down through the clouds and saw only towns as small as stars, unsure of their whereabouts.

"You really have no sense of direction, not reliable at all. We need to go to Guiyang to find that old villain Qian Yongcai," Xiao Xian heard that after failing to get elected as village secretary, Qian Yongcai had taken a contract for a construction site in Guiyang for landscaping, something called ’Blue Sky Apartment.’

Once they reached Guiyang, it should be fairly easy to inquire and find out.

"Little master, how about we follow the train?" White Jiao couldn’t quite grasp its master’s moods, sometimes cute like a loli and sometimes dark like a queen; hard to believe such a little one could have so many cunning thoughts.

"Not bad, not bad, there are benefits to being old and experienced," Xiao Xian approvingly patted White Jiao’s head as it started to descend, "Wait, what is that ahead?"

As White Jiao retracted its claws and descended, about a thousand meters away, an airplane appeared, moving slightly faster than the slowing White Jiao, apparently just taking off. But this unsophisticated duo of human and dragon from the mountains were quite startled.

"Dare to race me?" White Jiao snorted forcefully from its nostrils, blowing the clouds aside, not descending but instead soaring higher, determined to break through the sky, "Speeding up, little master, hold on tight."

All of a sudden, Xiao Xian felt her heart jump to her throat, truly thrilling. The surge of carbon dioxide in the air came rushing, the space’s Spiritual Energy swelled, and Xiao Xian suddenly widened her eyes; her breathing became a bit difficult, but the growing Spiritual Energy eased the discomfort in her organs.

"Keep ascending; I feel I’m about to make a breakthrough," Xiao Xian had never felt so much Spiritual Energy at once. Away from the ground, the air was thinner, but the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere was richer, which indirectly led to a significant increase in Xiao Xian’s source of Spiritual Power.

One thousand meters, two thousand meters, amidst the wind and sea of clouds, both the airplane and Little White Jiao raced, Xiao Xian’s face turning the color of a chili.

"Reporting to the captain, there’s a suspicious entity ahead," The pilot, looking at the radar’s red dot and the speeding airplane affected by the radar signal, could confirm that there was a life form ahead, not very large and maintaining a distance of about a thousand meters from the airplane without getting too close. The airplane’s speed remained constant. The captain hesitated about whether or not to notify the airport authorities.
