"Made a good friend, oh." Bubble lay on the mat, talking to two stones, "Want to be good friends with her, remain good friends forever."

The sound of the machine roared from afar, approaching like a storm, blowing away the accumulated snow on the bridge tunnel.

Her first impression was that it was huge; her second was that it was amazing. The place was filled with metal cabinets, equipment, and rows of seats, all surrounded by warmth and pleasant smells; it was as luxurious as a house.

"It’s very warm here," Xu Cheng told Bubble.

"My things are still under the bridge," Bubble said hurriedly.

"Quack." Xu Cheng jumped down.

She took all of Bubble’s things from under the bridge up to the Shuttle Machine.

"My mat!" Bubble called out.

"Quack." Xu Cheng brought the mat over.

"The sweet potatoes too," Bubble, holding her mat, sat at the side hatch of the Shuttle Machine.

"Quack." Xu Cheng brought two big bags of sweet potatoes into the Shuttle Machine.

"Need to take my stone friends too," Bubble said.

"Quack..." Xu Cheng hesitated for a moment but still brought the two stones onto the Shuttle Machine.

Back and forth, Xu Cheng moved all of Bubble’s belongings onto the Shuttle Machine; they were stinky, deformed, and very shabby.

Xu Cheng and Bubble sat in the seats.

"Does it cost money to stay at your place?" Bubble asked.

"Quack," Xu Cheng said.

The Shuttle Machine arrived at Xu Cheng’s home.

After the engine shut down, Xu Cheng and Bubble got out with their junk. Bubble turned around when she heard footsteps, only to see Xu Yang coming down from the cockpit.

"Who’s that?" Bubble was frightened.

"Daddy," Xu Cheng said proudly. Xu Cheng’s dad was really someone remarkable.

Xu Yang took the two little ones home, adding a pair of chopsticks for Bubble.

Xu Cheng had the drive to cook for Bubble and her dad; she made fish fillet on rice, grilled eel, and beef bowl.

Bubble had her fill of hot food for the first time.

After eating, Xu Cheng pointed at Bubble’s old clothes.

"Quack quack?" Xu Cheng realized that the clothes she gave Bubble were all wrapped up by her.

"Waiting for when it gets even colder to wear them," Bubble said.

"Quack!" Xu Cheng was not pleased.

"Let’s take Bubble to buy clothes," said Xu Yang as he placed the dishes into the dishwasher and led the kids onto the Shuttle Machine.

Purple Wind flew over the city, and Bubble’s face was pressed against the porthole, overlooking the resplendent city below.

She never knew that Shangjing was like this, with so many incredibly tall buildings and so many Shuttle Machines in the sky. Who lives in those buildings? And who are the ones flying the Shuttle Machines?

"Okay!" Bubble said happily.

Everything was available, she could eat hot meals, sleep in a blanket at night. No need to run or hide at any sound; she could sleep through the night without anyone coming to hit or chase her away. Was this not a dream?

At night Xu Yang lay on one side, while Xu Cheng and Bubble lay on the other.

"There are warm pipes under the floor." Bubble pressed her ear to the tatami, which felt as warm as summer, heating up her ear to almost redness.

"Quack." Xu Cheng twirled the green hair around her finger, "Quack?"

She didn’t understand why Bubble had green hair.
